I have not experienced attending this dentist however I am glad I did not. I was scheduled for an appointment today and I completely forgot to reschedule. It was my fault and I was very apologetic however the young lady that makes the appointments at the front desk was very rude. Not only did she yell at me on the phone about missing the appointment made it clear there is a $75 cancellation fee and I will be charged. I told her no problem I have no issue paying. She then continued to scold me and was very aggressive because I did not attend the appointment. I will never recommend anyone to this establishment for services. She was rude and disgusting. I had a simple procedure that needed to be done 3 times because the doctor kept messing it up and I was having horrible pain. I went back about 6 times and my jaw was sore for months. They also screwed up my insurance and costed me an extra 800 dollars for a procedure that NEVER WORKED. I still have pain and now have to go to a different dentist. Would not recommend. They completely and utterly messed up insurance costing me $350 out of pocket. I worked with them to find insurance that they worked with. Took 3 months to get the right insurance, get it started, and schedule an appointment. At the appointment they asked me to pay full price ($350) and assured me I would get a reimbursement from the insurance provider. Month goes by, nothing. Two months, nothing. Three months I call the insurance and they say "we never got anything and that's not how we work, they send us the bill and then we send you whatever is left over." I called back the office, and they have now for OVER A YEAR, been giving me a "let me call the insurance and call you back." I get the same response every time. They tell me they never worked with that insurance and unsure why they said they did. They said they'll call the insurance and call me back, and I never hear back. I've called and texted them dozens of times and every time they say they'll call me back and they never do. The actual service is great, but their billing and management is horrendous. It should never be on the patient to figure out their billing and insurance issues. I've never had to deal with this with any dental office and it makes it impossible to recommend. read more

Recommended unnecessary work!! I generally trust a medical professional's advice because I come to them for their expertise but something felt off when the hygienist suggested I needed scaling & root planing and that I'd need to replace a tooth that "wiggled". Fortunately I went to another dental office for a 2nd opinion and the hygienist there, after checking out my teeth, said there is no way I have ever in my life would have needed scaling & root planing. She was upset on my behalf that they even suggested it and said she had no idea what they could have meant by my "wiggly tooth". After hearing about my experience, my boyfriend felt scammed because he DID get the scaling & root planing done years prior by this group because he blindly trusted their opinion. I can not emphasize the magic that is Dr. Rubinov and this practice enough. From start to finish. As a person with a crippling fear of dentistry, and a tremendous amount of surgical work needed, I came Dr. Rubinov eight years ago for a consultation and never looked back. Nor will I. I have undergone a large implant reconstruction to replace multiple teeth during which I was far from an easy or compliant patient to say the least. With IV sedation and an unmatched level of care and understanding, I went through what anywhere else has and would have been both terrifying and painstaking, never once experiencing any pain and never without my fears or concerns being acknowledged and considered. All to leave and recover feeling like nothing happened and with no swelling. My dental health was over looked throughout two difficult pregnancies and I received care immediately following for two painless root canals. I've been coming here for several years and won't go anywhere else. I have composite bonding on my six front teeth due to horrible staining from incorrect fluoride treatments in my youth. Other dentists won't touch them and tell me to come back when I have money for veneers. For many years now, these dentists have maintained my bondings and kept my smile beautiful- something I am very sensitive about. I have cried tears of gratitude in this office. They even accommodated me when I was a poor graduate student. Dr Hubert is a true artist and does excellent cosmetic work. I cannot wait until I save enough to get veneers with her. I've seen both hygentists and they are thorough workers and lovely people to be around. Everyone is knowledgable and you will never walk out of the office feeling like you don't understand something. To make a long story short My husband began an oral rehabilitation with Dr. Rubinov about two years ago after countless consultations with doctors whom made many false promises and not only failed to deliver but charged thousands in consultation fees and assessment testing. After visits to many doctors they all came up with one resolution DENTURES on a then 35 year old due to advanced periodontal disease. Each time we heard this it felt like a death sentence while at the same time I became more and more determined to find someone whom would be on the cutting edge of technology. Dr Rubinov not only is on top of his game but also serves dentistry with compassion. In over two years that we have been going to his office there has never been a moment were we didn't feel comfortable. He even through countless surgeries was super encouraging and positive. His staff also goes above and beyond to make sure that patients are 100% comfortable and at ease. In our case it was not just about changing a persons smile it was about making someone smile. williamsburg dental arts is not your mommas dentist. it's a refined, even sexy atmosphere with staff that i actually want to hang out with. their work is impeccable. i went in there about a year ago with bleeding gums that were in the "5-6" range (normal is 2-4) and was in danger of progressing gum disease. i had two scaling appointments and within a year my gums are totally in the normal range. i also had a whitening which has lasted two years with a perfect pearly smile, and was a chill simple experience. i actually look forward to going there, they offer all the comforts from Aesop soap in the bathroom to luxury espresso to nitrous oxide if you are uncomfortable with the dental work. this is the only dental office i will ever go to. highly recommend. read more

Best dentist/dental office I've ever been to, end of story. But I'll tell you about it if you want to know. Dr. Rubinov is obsessed with his work in the best possible sense. Beyond being on top of his game in terms of routine dental work, up-to-date tech and equipment, as well as the courtesy and gentleness that are the hallmark of a good dentist, Dr. Rubinov takes great pride in the aesthetics of his work, even on teeth that are way in the back. I finally went ahead and had veneers done on my front four teeth and they are a work of art, as natural looking as could be. My husband sees Dr. Sarah Hubert who is part of the practice and he thinks she is the best dentist he's ever been to (I saw her briefly when I had an emergency on a Saturday and she did seem really great). So the jury is out as to which is the most badass dentist. I smell reality show... The office is great too: modern, clean, airy, comfortable. The staff are super nice and helpful. Iv been doing lip injections for 4 years now. Iv seen over four doctors in the city. One was even a plastic surgeon. Dr. Rubinov gave me the best lips Iv ever received. They were perfect in size but most importantly in shape. His ability to shape cheek bones is also exceptional. Very natural looking but also an instant mini makeover to the entire facial structure.. with no need to contour my cheeks anymore. He is at the top of the game in terms of the latest in tech and process and really cuts out all the anxiety of getting (in my case) a root canal. I just finished my year-long Invisalign journey to straighten my teeth, and I can't say enough nice things about Williamsburg Dental Arts and Dr. Konstantin Rubinov. First of all, it's the most beautiful, stylish dentist office you've EVER seen, with cool modern art hanging on the walls, an espresso machine making delicious espresso in the waiting room, and pleasant electronic chill-out music playing throughout the offices. I'd totally live there if I could. All the ladies at the front desk and the rest of the staff are incredibly sweet, professional, and helpful. I actually got a hug from one of them as my parting gift after handing over the last set of aligners. And then, of course, there's Dr. Rubinov. I've been to A LOT of dentists in my life, both in Europe and the U.S., and I have never met anyone who was more knowledgable, competent, and confident. Dr. Rubinov works with the highest quality materials, uses the latest technologies, and continually educates himself to stay on the cutting edge. But perhaps even more striking than his breathtaking competence, is his love for his profession. He is an absolute Master of his craft. Everything is perfect, the offices have beautiful art all over the place, high quality books and magazines, great music and most of all really nice staff with great energies that make you feel loved and welcome. For my first and only visit, I booked a cleaning and told the receptionist that I wanted to come in ASAP because I had chipped a filling. They told me to come in on Saturday morning, which was great. However, on Saturday, I arrived only to find out that I was being seen on an "emergency basis" and would have to come back for my cleaning. The hygenist then proceeded to take an x-ray of my tooth with the filling. I pointed to the subject tooth, which was clearly at the top and front of my mouth. An xray popped up on the screen, which looked it focused on my bottom teeth -- I am no expert, but when I mentioned this to the nurse she said it was fine. Later, when the dentist came in, she realized the xrays we were looking at belonged to a completely different patient, and were not even the correct part of my mouth. This made me feel very uncomfortable and not trusting of the staff. It's also sort of a privacy issue. The dentist looked at my teeth quickly and suggested I come back for my cleaning, but made time to point out my apparent need for whitening, braces or invisalign, and a mouth guard (none of which I was concerned about -- I am frequently complimented on my teeth). She took care of my chipped filling by filing it down. We then rescheduled for my cleaning 2 weeks later. Of course, on the way out they tried very hard to sell me a temporary mouthguard -- and recommended we create a mold for a permanent and pricy mouthgaurd during my next visit. The night before my 2nd re-scheduled cleaning, the office called me to cancel, as the dentist had an "emergency" pop up for the next morning. This was really annoying, as it would be the third time I would have to return for a cleaning that wasn't happening. I made an 3rd appointment but ultimately called to cancel, explaining to the receptionist that as a new patient, I am already exhausted by the mistakes, upsells, and runaround. I said if I could discuss my concerns with the dentist, I would consider coming back, because the location is very close to home and convenient. The office does look nice, too. However, the dentist never called. I'm unhappy that I wasted so much time and money here and still have to get my cleaning. read more

Once there, I find the dentist will discuss confidential medical matters with you outside at the reception desk. He also wastes time lecturing you on the importance and the science behind flossing. Friendly, smart, helpful, and just plain cool. I've never had a long wait here, and never felt rushed, either. Never had any problems with billing and they are willing to work with my insurance, an experience I cannot imagine to be enjoyable. What really drove me to write this review was that after I recommended a co-worker, they sent me a nice thank you card and a gift certificate for a pedicure. The office is beautiful and they do VERY thorough work. But it's just not worth it unless you are not concerned about the amount of money you are going to spend. It's a dentists office for wealthy people. I understand why they don't work with insurance companies directly - they can spend more time with the patient, aren't bogged down by their regulations, etc. So you have to pay for your treatment, then they file a claim for you and you should get reimbursed by your insurance company. They told me this shouldn't be a problem, and it was. 4 months later I still haven't gotten my reimbursement and it's because they did not submit it properly (and not for my lack of trying to make sure they had the correct information a number of times). But I also found this weird: When I first went in they explained that I pay $285 for an initial visit. They then bill my insurance company for over $500 worth of work and a lot of people end up getting reimbursed for more than the $285 they paid. I get that insurance companies are big, evil corporations, but this practice still seems shady. read more

I went to Williamsburg Dental Arts after a change in my insurance policy. I loved my dentist who I had gone to for years but decided to try Williamsburg Dental Arts because a friend recommended them and my policy covered their service. I immediately felt like they were up-selling additional services, which felt weird, and the appointment was more like sitting through a sales pitch than a medical appointment. At the end of the appointment I was ushered into an office where I met with an office manager who listed the services I would need to come back for in the following months, including fillings and a gum cleansing treatment. I left feeling like I had a number of issues going on with my teeth and gums, which surprised me because I had always received good reports from dentists in the past. I made another appointment to follow up and on the day of my appointment a snow storm arrived. Despite the snowstorm I received an automated call from Williamsburg Dental Arts confirming my appointment so I called the office and said please call me back to let me know one way or the other if I should come in. I did not receive a call and did not want to be charged for a missed appointment so I went to the office... and no one showed up. In fact, I did not even receive a call back until two days later. The receptionist apologized and said the office manager would call me back, which they never did. I called at least two more times to reach an office manager and was never called back, so as soon as my insurance changed I went back to the dentist I had gone to for years and guess what - he said everything looked fine! He said I did not need any fillings and he did not see any issues with my gums. I WAS SHOCKED! I would not recommend anyone go to this Dental office. They told me I needed treatments that I did not need and they cannot even manage their schedule. If you have been to their office - get a 2nd opinion! read more

My husband and I have been trekking into midtown for the last 3 years for a top-notch dentist because we didn't realize that there was a top-notch dental team in the neighborhood! My husband and I both went in for cleanings...and fillings. We were treated with the utmost care and attention.
