Exam room is open space with no hallways or rooms so that kids can see the layout and choose what color chair they want

I've been looking for a pediatric dentist for my 2 1/2 year old and 4 year old for a while since I've been taking them to a regular dentist since they were 1, but I was not happy with a regular dentist since they did not seem to be able to do much with my kids, who refused to open their mouths most of the time. Now I understand why a pediatric dentist is totally necessary for kids - not only was Dr. Minoo able to do a full cleaning and exam, but my kids loved the whole visit! The waiting room has a better play area than some of the indoor play areas that we pay to get into... I am so happy to be part of the North Brooklyn Pediatric family - and highly recommend anyone with kids to go to Dr. Minoo rather than a regular dentist. We look forward to our next visit!

I can't recommend North Brooklyn Pediatric Dentistry enough. I came here running away from bad experiences in another place and was relieved to find that Dr. Buchanan truly cares and really loves to work with children. Always takes time to explain to you what's going on and what your options are. Never rushed. She even repaired a couple of my daughter's chipped teeth due to a poorly done filling in another place. Thank goodness we found this place! Their staff is nice the play area is the best, children don't want to come home after being there. I highly recommend this place for anyone with small children or children in general.

Dr Buchanan is such a gentle and kind doctor my son he loves coming here. Her office and clean and has plenty of colorful chairs sunglasses and toys! When she cleans his teeth she is so gentle and he is cooperative and willing to listen to her. She keeps the parents informed as well. This is our second visits and he now understands that he has to floss and brush his teeth at night. I highly recommend you bring your Little ones here! They even get balloons and presents at the end!

Nice, new office with kid friendly decor and play area. Dr Minoo was good with our 3-year old. She was thorough.

We no longer live in Greenpoint, so we tried a few dentists closer to where we live now, but I wasn't happy. I wasn't looking for teeth whitening or braces at 53 years old. I just wanted our amazing family dentist back. I finally decided to try the doctors who took over Dr. Fox's practice. Despite it being a haul from Bed-Stuy, I'm thrilled I did. All of the old staff are still there, and the doctors are amazing. I knew the practice was called Identical Dental, but I didn't realize the name was literal until the identical twin doctors walked into my cleaning to introduce themselves! They have an amazing bedside manner and, like Dr. Fox, they're upfront about costs, explain your insurance, and help you navigate it to keep your out-of-pocket expenses as low as possible. They tell you what can wait and what's urgent. During my visit, they showed me that I had recently split an old crown and that it needed to be replaced immediately to save the tooth. They even squeezed me in right after my cleaning to take care of it. So happy we went back. I'm telling everyone to go there! P.S. They wear different-colored scrubs so the staff and patients can tell them apart, lol.

I show proof of email and text that I confirmed my appointment. She states well you're going to have to wait because we have patients at that time too now and it will be over an hour. First of all, this is the only place that takes healthfirst out of all the practices I called. I…read moredidn't need to pay anything out of pocket. I had a cleaning, fillings, and wisdom teeth removal done on three separate occasions. The first two were done by a guy with a beard (I'm so sorry). During the cleaning, he verbally analyzed my teeth and was informative about how to take better care of them. I've only had fillings done twice before at other practices, and this is by far the best as I could barely feel a difference with my invisalign trays on. The wisdom teeth removal was done under local anesthesia by Dr. John. It was nerve wracking but Dr. John and the assistants were very friendly and reassuring. There was a little pinch when he injected the anesthesia, and a lot of pressure and some audible crunching during the extraction (4 of them!), but it was overall painless. The only thing I would suggest is to bring a lot of tissue so you could blot the blood dripping down your chin on the way home. I only needed 1 dose of motrin and there was no pain or visible swelling by the second day.

I feel that it…read moreis important for other families to know about our experience so they can prevent the same thing from happening to their children. I would give Dr. Hanford and Greenpoint Pediatric Dentistry a zero if it was possible. Options with our insurance are limited, so we ended up at GPD for both our son and daughter. The work was so poor that both our children needed additional work to correct soon after. After a few months of having her crown put in, our daughter developed an infection because it was not properly sealed, nor the initial cavity completely removed. She needed antibiotics and additional sedation work scheduled to correct. In addition to the quick, sloppy, and careless work, the dentist office is dirty and grim, and none of the staff seem to actually care about young children. They want to get you in and out as quickly as possible despite the involved procedures they perform. We were rushed at every step, spoken to in a condescending and dismissive manner, and never received a follow up from them after our call to complain about our traumatizing experience. They have no intention of taking their time to establish trust with your child. The doctor and his staff will physically restrain your child while you listen to their screams from the other room. They may say your child will not remember any of it, and this is a complete lie. My son still talks about his experience 5 years after the work was done. My daughter started crying hysterically when she heard our regular dentist telling us she needed to go back. We are still so upset about our experience. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

The office door is disgusting; there are fingerprints and dirt on it. The toys that they have for the children to play with are dirty. The equipment the dentist used has literal dirt on the bottom, and the walls are dirty. The dentist who saw him told me that my child had" numerous cavities & need extensive work" Surprising to me since I brush his teeth 2-3 times a day (In my household we are extremely careful when it comes to our teeth. My grandmother is 94 & still has all of her teeth) only for us to go home and I take a look, it was blueberry that he had during lunch...... You mean to tell me a Dentist doesn't know the difference between cavities & Blueberries? I bet this wouldn't have happened on the Upper East Side. If i could give the place a zero, I would. The facility is disgusting & the dentists are inadequate of dong their jobs
