You can really tell the pieces aren't cheaply made. I especially love that they carry both indoor and outdoor rugs made from recycled plastics, which is such a thoughtful and sustainable touch. Their food section is so fun to explore! They have foods and drinks from all over the world -- ramen, authentic pasta from Italy, international snacks, sodas, alcohol, and so much more. It feels like traveling without leaving the store. I ended up buying part of the strawberry collection -- the mug, measuring spoons, and measuring cups -- and they are absolutely adorable! The only thing I'd mention is that I personally wouldn't bring very young kids unless you can keep a very close eye on them. There's a lot of glass and breakable items within arm's reach. Some items are a little pricey, but in my opinion, the quality makes it worth it. If you love unique home finds and international treats, this is such a fun place to shop!

Slam on the breaks. "Go back, go back", I yell to him from the kitchen. "Hurry up". Did I hear right? Oh my gosh! I did! BB&B is opening! In Nashville. Rejoice! It had to be divine intervention. We just happened to be driving to Nashville on grand opening day. I convinced my driver (ok, my husband) to leave early enough so we could stop on our way to the airport. It took us almost 3 hours to make the trek from Huntsville to Brentwood. We'll stop on our way home he promised. On the way home, our flight was delayed two hours. I swallowed my disappointment because I knew it was going to be 4 more, long weeks until I headed back up to Nashville. Finally, today was that day! We left extra early, I wasn't about to let construction traffic mess up another chance of going to what I once thought was my long lost favorite store. We made it. I nearly skipped into the store - quite a feat since I'm in a walking boot for a broken foot! I couldn't restrain myself - I gushed to the first employee that I ran into how truly excited I was. She looked at me like I had a third eye in the middle of my forehead. She obviously was well past the excitement that I felt this glorious day. I walked around the store, gently touching, lovingly touching the knick-knacks. The pillows. The pumpkin shaped candles. The cookware. But then that was it. My lip quivered a little when I realized that's all there was. The 50 shades of towels, the 29 types of bed pillows, the rows and rows of kitchen tools, even the 21 varieties of k-cups. Not there. No agonizing over vanilla latte or exotic chai. No 10 minutes of contemplating burgundy versus maroon. Barely any choices at all. Bed Bath and Beyond was now a mashup of a small Kirkland's and a tiny Home Goods store. I did find a toilet paper holder that I wanted. There was a big sign outside that said that they still accept Bed Bath and Beyond coupons. What they mean are those relics found under the car seat. Those with grease marks from stray French fries. The ones with the torn corners and blotches of things I'd rather not know about. What they don't mean is BB&B online coupons. The online BB&B is apparently not the same store. I left my find at the register, I just couldn't bring myself to buy something at Bed Bath & Beyond without a coupon. It was just ingrained in me. My skip was replaced by a little limp as I walked back to the car. I quietly buckle my seat belt, adjust my sunglasses and restart my Waze app. With a defeated, nearly inaudible voice, I ask, "where do you want to stop for lunch, babe?"

I had asked for a tote that was on sale and when I brought it to the front was told it wasn't. I brought the add in from my car and the young gentleman walked me back to see if they had the right size as he stated this was a 12 gallon and not the ones listed on sale (15 and 24 gallon m I believe). Mind you we are talking about a $3 discount. No more of the right size. No problem. I'll use my coupon. Nope. The pumpkins you are buying (no marking of sale ANYWHERE on those) come up when rung up with an "s" - so no coupons allowed. Again - not big money here, but the tone and level of condescension that was shown was just appalling. I turned from him and walked out of the store leaving my items at checkout by the front door. Then it got crazy. The older lady PROCEEDED TO FOLLOW ME OUT THE FRONT DOOR and berate me about coupons having restrictions and was I going to buy it or not. I was shocked. Absolutely shocked. I told her to stop yelling at me and talk to the gentleman. I've never seen anything like this at this ACE, but after today I would highly recommend driving the extra distance to Hermitage rather than risk the berating of the angry clerk and condescending gentlemen. The saddest part is - it was all over $3 when I was going to spend $25 Customer service is dead, friends. And they wonder why ACE's in general have trouble staying open.

Service is good once you are at the register, and pretty non-existent up to that point. Given it's location in this large shared plaza, parking is a breeze and more than plentiful. Overall, solid Kirkland's location that we are happy to swing by when in the area.

This time, we decided to try the Philly Cheesesteak, and unfortunately, it will be the last time we order this particular sub. It had absolutely no flavor. I remember when Publix used to prepare the steak on a flat-top grill, chopping it up with the onions and peppers. That doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Now, the onions and peppers are heated in a toaster oven or microwave and then mixed in with chopped roast beef. If you watch the preparation process, it may surprise you. We will continue shopping at Publix and visiting the deli, but we will not be ordering the cheesesteak again. Do not recommend.
