We purchased a reclining couch from Slumberland less than a year ago and also bought the GBS extended warranty for "peace of mind." What a joke. For the past two months, the back of our couch was crooked, and last weekend a metal part actually broke through and hit me in the back. When I contacted GBS warranty service, I was told they would not cover it or even send someone out to review the damage because the crooked back "existed more than 30 days ago." I explained the real concern is the metal piece now sticking out of my couch, but they still declined the claim. So basically, this "5-year protection" we were sold is completely worthless. Slumberland made it seem like we'd be covered for repairs or replacement if anything went wrong--completely false. GBS hides behind fine print and looks for ways to deny every claim. Please do NOT waste your money on the extended warranty through GBS/Slumberland or trust Slumberland's misleading sales pitch. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment--we paid for a warranty and a couch that turned out to be worthless.
