I brought my vehicle to Chicago Wheel Express to repair four bent wheels. The quality of the actual…read morework was excellent. After picking up the vehicle and driving it, the vibration I had been experiencing was completely gone, so I am very happy with the repair itself. There were some frustrations with communication and pricing. My appointment had previously been changed over the phone but apparently wasn't entered into the system, which required additional calls. I was also initially told the vehicle would be ready the same day, but that timeline wasn't met. I also think the fee structure could be more customer-friendly. There is a 3% shop fee for general administrative/service overhead in addition to a separate 3% credit-card convenience fee. I personally think these costs should be clearer upfront, particularly when you're already paying for the service itself. That said, when the vehicle wasn't completed when originally promised, I asked if they could provide a discount, and they did. Most importantly, they did what I brought the car there to have done. All four wheels were repaired and the vibration is gone. Despite the communication issues and additional fees, I am very satisfied with the quality of the actual wheel repair and appreciated them working with me on the final price.

My visit to SPC was a visit of necessity. "Baby needed a new pair of shoes". Not the shoes one wears on his or her feet but the shoes/wheels on a otherwise attractive looking car. Unbeknownst to me much like the long history of the famous saying, wheel recoating is not limited to the cool, hip, car lovers who live for custom looks. Recoating is common and encouraged when the factory coat on standard alloy wheels has seen better days or a curb or two too many. Does it really work you ask? I would say, you can see for yourself. Check out the before and after picture below. You be the judge. If you have rims that are in need of TLC, you can bring them back to life. SPC offers a lifetime guarantee on the coating, and if you were like us, the company has equipment to take off tires and store the vehicle. In our experience, pricing was more affordable than replacing the "shoes" (rims) and turnaround time was a few days. Thanks to Claymore Recoating Repair for recommending Speed Powder Coating. The finished product is certainly like new!
