Conveniently located on Highway 52 and Old 52 (Right on the corner), Creekside Mulch has everything you need for landscaping. As we pulled into the yard, we drove past the various aggregates. We saw River Rocks 57, ROC Roc, Granite 789, Granite Sand, Granite 57, 57 Slag, 789 Slag and Rip Rap.We immediately fell in love with the River Rocks. We didn't measure anything so we figured 1 cubic yard would be enough. We got home and only had enough product for half of the yard. I knew Creekside Mulch closed at noon so I called for store hours. Luckily, they still had deliveries to make and told us to come on by. We were appreciative, and thrilled that they stayed open for us. My husband drives trucks so he's only off on weekends,and I feared we couldn't complete our project for another week. I offered to give her my credit card to "hold" them. It apparently wasn't necessary but she took the number down anyway. Later, looking at my reciept, I saw that they charged me a "CONVENIENCE FEE" of $.74 FOR USING MY CREDIT CARD - without warning me. I called and spoke to the mgr, who I told that I was NEVER informed of a "convenience fee"("convenient" for whom...?). Had I been, I would happily have pay ca$h. I requested a refund for this ridiculous, (ILLEGAL?) charge. She replied, "My employee ALWAYS tells people about the fee!" Well, in this case she did NOT. Credit card fees are a cost of doing business that the proprietor must eat, and/or adjust her prices accordingly to absorb them. She was extremely unpleasant, refused to refund this bogus charge, (which I easily could have disputed with Discover) but since the pine straw was okay I chose not too, but I will inform YOU to steer clear of this less than honest establishment. Stick with Hidden Ponds, Hyams, or Abide a While garden centers - they all understand customer service.

After our first glance, we actually almost fled to a big box store. Austin must have seen the intimidation on our faces, because he quickly walked over to us, opened the door, and offered to help. Before leading us outside, he even offered us both something to drink. Austin listened patiently to my idea for a new pathway, and led us straight to the Bluestone I had been dreaming about (but didn't know what it was called). He took the time to explain the pros and cons of several options to me, and then calculated how much I would need based on my measurements. I purchased my stones and the delivery was scheduled for just a couple of days later. The delivery driver was thoughtful and meticulous about the placement of my palette. Honestly, from beginning to end, it could not have been a better experience. I am so thankful for Austin's eagerness to help customers. He kept me from fleeing, and is why I now have a beautiful Bluestone pathway that is the envy of all my neighbors.
