Our Mr Plumber technician, JEFF was easily the best interaction in 50 years with a plumber. Jeff is not only extremely talented in his trade; he exemplifies the best in the top of customer service. Within an hour duration of the service call he had become family. JEFF IS CERTAINLY AN ASSET OF WILLLIAMS COMFORT MR PLUMBER. Two days after our experience, we saw Jeff highlighted on a commercial recognizing his out of the ordinary care for a customer in distress. I called and got an appointment on July 1st because my AC was not working. I got an appointment for the second between 12 and two. They called me 30 minutes before 2 o'clock and canceled my appointment and said that they could reschedule it for Monday. I had to take Thursday off to be home for them and they canceled the appointment like it was nothing. Never will. I call them again. read more

We just bought a new house and of course there was a snafu with our furnace not actually heating the home. We called Williams Comfort Air specifically to take advantage of their same day maintenance calls. Not even 5 hours after I called, their service tech Patrick D arrived. He was at our home for 5 hours diagnosing the issue and checking all components for proper function. He fixed the problem, stayed until our house was warm, and didn't end up leaving until nearly 10pm. Patrick was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Needed service on a 30 year old boiler. Parts had to be ordered and fabricated. Eric had to hunt around for hours trying to locate parts locally to no avail. Eventually had to order from outside sources and reschedue his week to expedite repair. Completely satisfied with the repair, and his customer oriented focus. Had technician come for a service call. The tech told me I had a cracked heat exchanger and he immediately wanted me to have a rep come to discuss a purchase of a new furnace. 3 service techs, 3 work days impacted and still no solution. 7 days after requesting to speak to a manager-no call. First tech was the best and stated a "senior tech" needed to be called out. Second guy stood outside for an hour and half -did nothing and his diagnoses was incorrect. He did nothing inside with the furnace. Third guy, nice, but stated "these newer units "this is just how it is." He said he was calling Carrier and would let me know what they say. That was 4 days ago. Yesterday I called to request he call me back, no call back. I even called the sales guy who appears to not care now that he got the sale. All he had was excuse after excuse. Was very rude. Furnace and air conditioner are 2 months old- what a mess. This company is terrible at operations, worse at customer service and I would not nor will I ever buy anything from them. read more

Had quite a roller coaster ride the past few days with my heating and cooling system! Last Wednesday, a repair tech came due to my system not working correctly. A bad capacitor and refrigerant pressure were the culprits. Repair options were discussed soon after along with the possibility of replacement. Considering my system was 10+ years old, problematic in recent years, and apparently a low end model, I opted to discuss replacement. Within an hour, another tech came to evaluate my current system. It was determined that my current AC was a lower end, contractor special model, and my current furnace was oversized and inefficient for my home. A variety of replacement options and recommendations were then given, and after choosing, a replacement was scheduled for Saturday. The major work began Saturday morning! Three techs in two box trucks and a cargo van came with a new AC unit, furnace, and specialty equipment for removing & replacing refrigerant. All the work was done in a 6-7 hour time frame. The equipment looks clean and professionally installed. Although they did use a shop vac to clean much of the dust and debris, there was still some dust and a few loose screws to clean after the work was done. Although hiring a professional company like Williams CA is generally not cheap, the quality of work is consistently great. Options are often available for customers debating on replacement or repairs. Highly recommended! read more

It took then from 8:30 - 3:00 pm and they said they would clean up the mess and they didn't clean up anything. Plus everything they moved I had to put back. They are very unprofessional. read more

When Center Point came out to replace outside gas meter, they found a leak and shut off my gas. Williams Comfort Air was able to get an experienced plumber to my house within hours, the gas leak was identified through his diagnostics, and a plan was made for repair. He fully explained the situation, showed me the area of leak, explained what was required and scheduled to come the next day to repair. He arrived before the appt time to get started (very much appreciated this) and completed repairs fully and efficiently. He walked me through steps of contacting Center Point to re-connect gas. He cleaned his workspace meticulously. I want to give Kent Whitinger a 5 Star Rating!!! His polite, thorough, and methodical approach was reassuring, and his competent and meticulous work completed in such a timely way was very much appreciated. He inspired confidence, was an excellent communicator and I appreciated his years of experience and knowledge and felt safe having gas lines worked on by such an informed technician. I have used Williams Comfort Air to replace an entire HVAC system, a water heater, a sump pump, and outdoor access pipe to sewer/drains. I continue to be impressed with the fine work, and with the people who have provided all these services start to finish. I purchased a Geothermal HVAC system in 2021. I have had zero problems with this system up until Nov 24. The Tech (Austin) diagnosed it to a bad main board which was replace at zero cost to me as it was a warranty call. I had several emails to let me know I had an error 12/24/ I called service and the end result was a $0 warranty covered "boost" to my water supply. Once again, the tech diagnosed and SOLVED the problem within an hour. I cannot say how impressed I am with Williams Comfort Air. read more

DO NOT, DO NOT use them for plumbing services. They cracked (more like a hole) in an elbow pipe behind my kitchen sink while using their snake to clear a clog. My kitchen line is still clogged, cracked drain pipe, a hole in drywall because they had to cut a piece to get a look at the crack and I'm out $423 for the hydro jet that failed to clear the clog also. They refuse to fix the cracked pipe because I signed the agreement saying they're not liable for any damage to the pipes when they do work. But yet, they were VERY eager to charge me $3,205 to solve my clog with more expensive work. Clowns I tell you, clowns. Now, I'm submitting a charge back for the $423 and shaming their name every chance I get. read more

I was impressed with how quickly they were able to come out. I was impressed with text notifications and the communications. However I was not impressed with trying to be sold a whole new unit. I was not impressed with the diagnosis of a valve that didn't even exist. Decided to get a second opinion and was grateful that I did. After replacing a capacitor and about 6 oz of freon was back up and running in about 20 minutes where I would have been still waiting for the Williams estimate team to come out and estimate a whole new unit. Felt like we were taken advantage of. Not wanting to do the work for a repair and just selling new equipment. Now I can see why there is only a two star rating. Do better Williams. read more

Extremely disappointing experience! Highly recommend Bassett Services or Howald Heating and Cooling over Williams. Estimates are significantly higher than other shops around town, and if they mess up on an estimate, you will pay the price - regardless of the reassurance of a "flat rate" cost for repair. We were verbally quoted one price during the initial inspection, and then quoted another when we received our official estimate. After looking at the estimate further, we noticed a duplicate line item for $335. When we asked about this item, they admitted it was a mistake and it shouldn't be apart of the quote, but then also mentioned they made another mistake by leaving out an item with a cost of $595. An item that the technician reassured us multiple times was included in the repair services we had already been quoted for. After several back and forth conversations, we were assured that they would remove the $325 duplicate item and we would not be charged the additional $595. The day of our service/repair, the technician shows up and completely changes course saying that we will in fact be charged the additional item. Knowing that it was 90 degrees out and we had been without AC for a week. Long story short, their estimating and quoting process is not only significantly higher than other places around town, it's also a complete mess and nobody seems to know what is going on with the estimating. The only pro to using them was they were able to get out sooner than other companies, which I'm sure is why they know they can drive up their pricing during the dead of summer. We will not be using them again and good luck to those that do, especially when they know people are desperate to get their AC or Heater up and running. read more

We had our ducts cleaned and had multiple issues with the service techs. 1) Compressor did not work due to freezing temps so they had to go to their office to get another (delayed work by 1 hr). Do their service technicians not huddle in the morning to make sure the equipment is working before they start their day? 2) Service techs did not bring some basic tools (ex, screwdrivers) and had to borrow my husband's tools. 3) Did not clean up after themselves and left huge piles of debris all throughout the house. Also did not move the furniture back. 4) Left dirty hand prints, scrapes, and knicks out of our basement walls after I had asked them to be careful because we just painted. 5) One service tech wore the booties and I didn't realize the other tech took his off. Mud was left on our carpeted stairs going into the basement. 6) Left items in our home after they left. I took pictures of the damage to the walls, carpet in our house as well as piles of debris left everywhere. Still waiting on a manager to get back with me. read more

Not even sure which location came but what a con of a company! I told them I needed someone to look at my AC that keeps freezing up, and was told they would also go over my options... ie fixing it vs replacing it. First they tell me 10-2, then I receive a text this AM saying 12-2, then I get a call that the guys is on his way just after 10AM, okay I can deal with a little confusion. However, The guy didn't even look at the inside part of the unit, only the outside part, saying that the inside was leaking and low on refrigerant - with no seen leaks outside and again never even bothering to look at the inside, saying he can almost guarantee that the coil is leaking and pretty firmly telling me not to get it fixed and trying to set me up with a sales rep. He said service techs don't discuss new options, refused to take my coupon, charged me for literally walking in my backyard and then was going to leave the outside disconnected to help me?! Oh and the audacity of asking for my signature on something that said I was completely satisfied and some legal language, when I was EXTREMELY unsatisfied with paying for absolutely nothing! Last year I spent over $15,000 for a new Heating and A/C unit for my home. In addition, I also purchase a maintenance program. Since this was a new system, I wasn't sure if the system I purchased had any tax advantages as far as a tax credit for my 2023 taxes. I called the gentleman that handle my installation but received his voice mail. I explained what I needed to know in my message. One would think based on spending the kind of money I did on a new system and having a maintenance package I would have received a return call or even a message. Nope. Take the money and run. Just called to renew my ANNUAL Maintenance Agreement, where you pay conveniently, once / year and get 2 system checks for the one price. Not any more. Now you pay monthly + $53 service fee at each checkup. An extra $106/year on top of 12 months at $18/month. NO option to pay for a year at a time. Explanation was kinda odd, sounded like it was easier for Williams or customers "forget" to renew their plans. If I miss understood, hopefully they will explain. read more

I just had a new HVAC system installed. They were very professional. They left my home clean and were pretty quick about it. They are a bit pricey -- $11,000 with only a 5 year warranty, I can upgrade to 10 with some conditions. I was expecting a 15 year warranty for the price. We had a service done on our AC by a Williams Comfort Air technician on Tuesday June 20th. He stated that he completed full diagnostic work and reported that the problem was the compressor in the outside unit. He proceeded by replacing the compressor, evacuating the refrigerant line, and replacing our refrigerant. He then attempted to run the outside unit; however, there was still an unresolved issue. Therefore, he investigated the indoor unit and discovered that there was a clog in the refrigerant coils and reported that this was the root of the problem and would be an additional $2,800 (totaling $7000+) to repair. It was at this point that the technician strongly recommended that we get a sales person out to quote a new AC system prior to continuing with this additional repair. Per his supervisor, we were informed that the full payment for the service, approximately $5,100, was needed prior to concluding his visit - despite the repair being unsuccessful and our home having no AC. We then scheduled an appointment with sales to come and quote a new system. A sales representative came to our home the next day, June 21st. When he was informed that the technician had not stopped service after his initial diagnosis of replacing the compressor and did not strongly recommend that we contact sales prior to continuing with the repair, the sales rep was taken aback. Based on representative's experience and knowledge, he informed us that the compressor should not have been replaced without hearing options from sales on a new system. If we would have had information from sales at that point, we would have been able to make a more educated financial decision and would not have proceeded with replacing the compressor. When discussing options moving forward with the sales representative, he offered a discount of $2,600 (approximately 50% of what we have already invested on the current unusable unit due to incomplete and inaccurate diagnostic work) if we chose to purchase a new AC system with Williams Comfort Air. The sales representative was unable to discuss any form of reimbursement or refund for the unsuccessful repair and provided a number to call for more information. When we called this number, and explained the situation, we were told that they would send an email and we would hear back in 24 to 48 hours. Throughout this process, we put our trust in the expertise of Williams Comfort Air employees and at this point we have invested $5,100 for an unsuccessful repair and still do not have an agreeable solution. read more
