Instead of typing out my review, let me just share the note that I sent to General Motors about my recent visit to Williams Chevrolet (10/8/21) Last Friday my wife and I visited the dealership and looked at a 2013 Equinox. We liked the vehicle, but weren't in full agreement about the price they wanted to give us on our trade of the 2018 Trax LT we own. So in the past five days since last Friday, James Robinson (the salesman) and I have been going back and forth via email trying to meet somewhere neutral on the trade value of our Trax. The price they were offering is significantly lower than the Kelly Blue Book value we found on the KBB website. When we described the Trax on the KBB site in "good" condition, the trade value range was $13,945 - $15,630. When we described the Trax in "very good" condition, the trade value range was $14,420 - $16,132. We showed these numbers to the salesman, but the best they were willing to give us was $13,500. Our Trax is in PERFECT condition, inside and out. No crashes, no accidents, nothing. The interior is immaculate. The only thing they found negative about it was the front tires needed to be replaced. And James said it was going to cost FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS to recondition it for showing on the lot. But I still couldn't understand why they were trying to low-ball us on the trade value so badly. But today, we decided we liked the 2013 Equinox at Williams Used Cars so much, we were going to accept their low offer on our Trax of $13,500. Because my wife REALLY liked it after the test drive. And I have the offer saved in my email, which serves as a binding contract of what Williams was willing to offer. This morning James emailed me and wanted to know if I would accept their offer for our Trax of $13,500 since his manager refused to give us anything near the book value. At exactly 3:43pm today (Wednesday), James Robinson and I spoke on the phone and I told him we would accept his offer, and buy the Equinox tonight. I told him I would be there around 5:30pm. Then at exactly 4:43 (one hour later) he called me and told me "no need to come in tonight, we just sold the Equinox to someone else." At this point, my wife and I were furious and we went to the dealership to speak with the manager there. His name is Chris, and he told me he wasn't aware that we were coming down there at 5:30pm. So I guess the salesman didn't tell him a car was going to be sold within the hour. I asked him how a business can promise someone a sale, after five days of negotiating the price, and then a half hour before the sale, cancel it and take the car right from underneath us. He told me "I made a judgement call, and took the money." (his exact words) Meaning, even though they knew we were on our way there, they sold it to someone else. I then said he needs to find us something comparable, at similar pricing and similar options. And he said "I can't find another vehicle like that" - I asked him to check the network online to find something there, and got the same response "There's nothing around with the options that car had at that price" So here we are, getting absolutely lousy service from TWO different Chevrolet dealerships. Williams Chevrolet NEW car sales is one place we stopped at back in 2018 when we bought our Trax from Bob Bell. The woman we dealt with back then at Williams was snooty, and unwilling to help us with our questions. We showed her the online sale price that Bob Bell was offering on a 2018 Trax LT and she said there was no way they could sell one for that price. She tried to put us in a stripped down Trax LS for the same price Bob Bell was advertising a Trax LT. So we left Williams New Cars then and decided we'd never go back there again. But most importantly, please do not believe the story that Chris (Williams used car manager) will tell you that there was some confusion whether we were going to buy a car today or not. That is how he tried to explain his way out of it tonight. THERE WAS NO CONFUSION on our end, based on what the salesman told me on the phone. At 3:43 today, I told James Robinson we would be there TONIGHT to buy that 2013 Equinox. James Robinson told me over the phone "Okay, I will see you tonight" and then they sold it to somebody else. That is the bottom line. The price haggling over the trade had already concluded. I told James we would accept their LOW offer of $13,500 because my wife liked the car that much! I could tell he had already rehearsed his response to us, saying "ohh well you said you wanted to look at another car, and didn't like our trade offer" - That is BS. I told James Robinson we would be there at 5:30 to buy the Equinox, and he said OKAY. I asked Chris before I left tonight, what sort of online reviews and feedback does he think they deserve, after how they treated a customer today-- And he replied "I can't control what kind of reviews you leave online" Giving them ONE star is being too nice. read more

I bought my 2008 gmc yukon. The first month I had it, it broke down and cost 1800.00 to fix. I called the dealership because I had only driven it 500mi. They told me that there was nothing they could do for me!! Two months later at 500 more miles I had to get an engine treatment done which Is a reoccurring problem. Now 5,394 miles later driver door quit working and emergency brake lever broke ( it looks like it was rigged on). This seems like a real LEMON. And all they keep telling me is that I bought the car as is!!! I tried reaching out to Dave Williams who I thought was a family friend, but there has never been any return calls.. keep in mind that my whole family bought cars from this guy and he can't even return my call!! Brought in my 1 year old truck for an oil change and rotation and they said my Tire Pressure Monitor System needed a $300 repair, because they didn't know what they were doing. Went to another Chevy dealer and they laughed about this dealership and fixed what they broke in about a minute FOR FREE !! DO NOT GO HERE read more

Worst people in the world! Save yourself and keep driving don't stop at Williams Chevrolet! I bought a Chevrolet Impala 2010 in 2015 from Williams Chevrolet, and they completely took advantage of my kindness and lack of knowledge about cars. Within a week of buying the car, the engine light came on. I called and the spoke with one of the owners and he was the rudest person he told me to be quiet while he was speaking. He was so condescending and disrespectful to me. Long story short the Chevrolet Impala had so many things wrong with it. It cost me thousands of dollars to get it fixed and it was issue after issue with this car. Williams Chevrolet was not willing to help instead they were willing to be condescending, rude, hurtful, and disrespectful. I decided to take my car to another certified Chevrolet dealer (Armen Chevrolet), and let me just start off by saying Armen Chevrolet is a wonderful place. They were so respectful and honest and they helped me when I was in a very difficult situation because Williams Chevrolet screwed me and tied my hands. If you need a car, go to Armen Chevrolet they are in PA, but they are worth the drive because they are honest and they believe in business but also treating their customers well. read more

Worst experience of my life. I've literally never been treated like this by a business in my life. They don't care about customers after you sign that line and drive away. The service here is terrible and when they sell you a defective car they'll treat you like crap and give you the run around. The service manager wouldn't answer my calls even though they currently have my car so I reached out via FB and they blocked me from posting. We've bought multiple brand new cars here and never will again. I have less than 50K on my 2012 model car that's had 4 new sets of brake pads and rotors and a few calipers. Not including the recalls, two speaker replacements, trim falling off and AC computerized "recalibration". The service man saw I was a woman and told me the AC wasn't working because I parked my car in the sun. So I brought it back again and turns out there was low freon and needed some sort of computer adjustment. When my calipers were leaking they told me the rotors were warped (again) because I must not drive it often enough (daily). I dropped my car off Monday and today is Friday guess what I've heard from them as to the status of my car? Not one thing. I reached out to Chevy cooperate car via FB and they didn't get anywhere either. I called Thursday morning for an update and after sitting on hold I was told it was being worked on right now. She couldn't tell me what they were working on of course. Later Chevy corporate tells me it hasn't been looked at at all (after sitting there 4 full days). I just called to speak to the service manager and the first person told me he was standing right there and would be with me momentarily. Meanwhile I get dumped to a random voicemail. Called back and put on hold. Told he wasn't available. Then dumped me into his voicemail again. But of course he doesn't return calls. So not only do I constantly have to have my car in the shop they keep it for days at a time and don't have the decency to even call with an update. Stay away from Williams. Update: my car is back for service again. They've had for almost 2 days no call. They refuse to return my calls. Stay away from this place. read more

Usually come here to change oil because it's local and where we got the car. Unfortunately the line is always really long and the staff really isn't that friendly. Started going elsewhere that provides better service. read more

Went for a quick oil change and a set of wiper blades. The wipers were $18.95 each and are terrible. I expected them to use GM wipers. Not the case. They use the same cheap wipers you can buy at Walmart, so save your money. Time to find another place. read more

Bought used car 3 months ago, decided it was too small so went to trade in on new car. I knew we would loose money, maybe a couple thousand after driving it off the lot. I stopped by here just recently on my trip, because they had a rare yellow camaro with the transformers package (from the movie). Very nice car and priced well at this dealership. However, it seems like they do not have any sales people working their. I walked around their dealership for a good 10 minutes, so I finally went inside and their was probably only 2 sales people working and they both had clients/customers. Kind of looked strange, since they have a pretty big inventory. read more

I have had many company cars in my career, but picking up one here was very disappointing. Each time I have taken delivery of a car, the other dealers would sit in the car for a few minutes with me just to go over how the features are used, such as pairing the phone, etc. When I asked them to give me a quick summary of how to use all the features, the rep told me it was "Self explanatory". He couldn't be bothered. I realize the dealer makes low commissions on these company car deliveries, but I am about to retire will be purchasing a car for the first time in many years. Why would I go to a place which ignored my request for a five minute tutorial? I also have purchased cars for my kids over the years and I would not even consider this place. Service should be job one!! I've had problems with the car occasionally and had them fixed at other dealers but some could not be fixed at all. Maybe these Chevy's are not all that great:( Note to the folks at WIlliams: You never know who you are dealing with. I might have started my own company at some point and needed to purchase several cars to form a fleet, etc. You never get a second chance to make a first impression. Your sales reps need TRAINING in how to treat customers. read more

Total unwillingness to stand behind their product. Only care about "paying" jobs. Won't be considering a Chevrolet or GMC once this lease is over. read more

Attempted to purchase a used vehicle. They ran my credit about 5-6 times through various lenders then e-mailed me to say they couldn't work a deal and transferred me to their neighbor Anchor Buick/GMC. For the last two days, I keep getting e-mails from a salesman at Williams asking when can I come over to test drive my new car. I even e-mailed the person back and stated you guys wouldn't help me and sent me elsewhere! No actual communication, besides e-mail, with me or within their own business so it seems. I was first in line when they opened, but manager let someone who was not in line ahead of me. Bad start. Then they said I needed a new air filter without inspecting it. My Chevy Trax has 22,000 miles on it. GM doesn't recommend changing until 45,000. GM does recommend changing cabin filter, but they didn't recommend that. I had to ask to have tires rotated even though that's part of service. I had the oil changed there at 7500 and 15000 miles and they said the tires didn't need to be rotated. At the time I didn't realize the rotation was part of what you pay for, and GM actually recommends rotating every oil change. Now I realize they just didn't feel like rotating tires!! I called service manager and he confirmed that NONE of the recommendations they made regarding filter changes and tire rotation were what GM actually recommends. So they are either inept or dishonest. Service Manager said Mr. Williams was going to call me but he never did. So I'll have to conclude they don't care. read more

I went to Williams Chevy Quick Lube for an oil change and they take forever! They only have two out of the three lanes open anytime I've ever been there and you usually have to wait for at least an hour to an hour and a half to even get started. There is nothing quick about it! The gentleman told me I needed a new cabin air filter and told me it would be $70.00. I purchased the filter on amazon after I told him no. It cost me $8.00 and it took me 30 seconds to change myself. It's sad, the place has a lot of potential but with the staff that work there it'll never improve. read more

Absolutely incredible service. The service department and their manager are accommodating and friendly. I would not purchase my car anywhere else! Not only did they sell me my car, they have taken care of all service issues and recalls without hesitation and I always get my car back in a reasonable time considering my busy work schedule. My sales person Will Little is amazing and always makes sure to say hello when he sees me at e dealership and checks to make sure my car is taken care of while it there. They treated me with respect, there was no game playing and they appeared to be genuinely interested in my business. Before visiting Williams I had visited several other dealerships and ran into sales people who didn't seem interested whether I bought a car or not or played games. Garage advertises "inspections while you wait, no appointment needed". I tried twice and was turned away both times. Apparently their inspector doesn't work on Saturdays, and the second time, when I went at approximately 4:40, I was told their shop was closing up for the night (their posted hours are until 5:30 on week nights), and that I'd need to make an appointment in spite of their advertising sign. I got bad attitudes from different staff members on both occasions when I pointed out the advertising signs and their hours. If this is representative of their other services, then I'd suggest avoiding this garage. read more

I brought my car in for the first oil change and tire rotation. Service people were very nice. I waited 1 hour.

Our VOLT automobile showed a message on the dash saying the high voltage charging system needed maintenance. When we plugged it in at home to charge it for our next day's travel here and there in the county, the little green light in the middle of the front window did not come on. We called for an appointment, got one, delivered the auto the day before, and it was repaired speedily. The explanation of the problem was easy to understand. Best of all, the entire fuss was covered financially by the warranty! As usual: a good experience, TY for asking. read more

Brought our traverse in to replace a headlight and seatbelt. When it was returned our front turn signals did not work. We had to bring it back again and found out the technician had disconnected the plug for the turn signals. This indicated a lack of quality control at the dealership and wasted my time and money to bring it back so they could fix their mistake. read more

Would love to give zero stars. Took my car in first thing in the morning on a Wednesday and was told I'd get a call later that day with a diagnosis. They did call later and said its be 24-48 hours for my adjustor to look at the vehicle. I asked about a rental and they said theyd call me when one was available. I called Friday afternoon to see what was going on and was told my agent left early no-one can help me and I'd have to wait until Monday. I called Monday to be told I'd get a call in 24-48 hours. I called again Wednesday to find out no-one had touched my car. And they still hadn't let me know about a rental. All said and done they had my car for three weeks before it was fixed. The only communication we had after the initial call was when I called them. They even Lord and said my warranty would be voided if I fixed my car. Horrible customer service and no communication and they never gave me a rental and acted like that was my fault. read more

The original reason why I brought my car in was because I have been having a slow leak in my tire and was looking to just get a plug. When it was all said and done I ended up getting a major tune-up and wheel alignment done on my car(almost $900 total). At the end of my service I was told that my tires were good to go. It has now been a month since my car was serviced, and I have had to put air in the same tire that was the original problem twice now. 2nd, the frame for my driver seat was loose, so I had them look at it. they told me that it was $500 for a new frame.( wasn't prepared to add on another $500 with the major tune-up and tire alignment I was already paying for). So I figured I would take care of it another time. When I got my car back, my frame is even worse now then from when I dropped it off. Before it was loose, now it rocks every time I sit in it. 3rd, the left side of my odometer appears to have had a bulb go out. So in my mind, that would have been a quick bulb replacement, but from what I was able to gather(because no one in service discussed it with me) that I needed a new console or something along those lines. If that was the case, then that is the case, my problem was that when my car was returned, none of that was explained. So imagine my surprise when I got in my car to leave, and the odometer still had no light on the left side. I called the next day and left a message inquiring about my console, and I never got a call back. It took me talking with a salesperson the next day because I was considering looking into a new car, that he told me that I needed a new console. I have been to Williams twice now for service, 1st time was a great experience and was already recommending people, 2nd time...far below from what I experienced from my 1st go around. If this had been my 1st experience with Williams, I would never set foot back at that location again. Being as though my 1st experience was great, and I see what you all are capable of, I'm presently torn and not sure I will be back. My 2nd experience started off great at first, the receptionist was helpful in securing me a loaner car that was comparable to my size, the SA, listened and explained everything which got me to get the major tune-up, but after I dropped my car off, it all went downhill from there. read more

By far the worst service department I have ever encountered . None of the three service people on the floor show a sense of welcome. Takes over a week to get a appointment. Then when I come for my appointment which was 8-10 am today I'm greeted by a grouchy rude woman. Essentially diagnosing a power steering leak as if it just needed a top off. It's now 130 I called then to get an update . Thinking hey maybe I missed a call it's almost 4 hours after my appointment. Glad I didn't wait there. They said Kathy was not there. I ask for an update to the car so I can go on with my day and pick it up until a repair can be scheduled . Their response "the computer is not showing me anything" . So since Kathy isn't there they don't know. Wow , just wow. They lack organization for being a certified dealership . If you need service for your car find a different shop or chevy dealer. I can't speak for the sales department this is service related only. read more
