My ex husband and I took our sick cat to see Dr. Henke and we were told they needed to keep the cat overnight and give it fluids. There was no discussion of money or an estimate provided at this time. The next day, they called me and I went back to get the cat and was told it was going to be like $360 since they kept it overnight and gave it fluids. I was shocked at this cost, and incredibly embarrassed because I did not have that kind of money at the time. I asked about making payments, and Dr. Henke said I had to pay in full or they would keep my cat. I told him I didn't expect it to be so much money, and in response he yelled, "well I didn't expect to get stiffed today!!" I was mortified- this was in the lobby with other customers and staff present. I called my mom and she was able to bring a check later that day so I could come back and get the car. Dr. Henke made me feel like I was completely worthless and it was completely uncalled for- I always planned to pay. Hopefully their current process includes discussing cost up front so people are aware. I would never recommend this vet- he may have skills in his field but he is a bad person to humiliate someone intentionally. Staff offered apologies for him when he stormed off, indicating that they had seen this behavior before.

We only caught it cuz he was acting funny and getting him to a vet to find out his blood count was extremely low! When they went in for annual work just before my departure they drew blood how was this not caught! I know they felt his stomach for lumps, I'm not sure how you miss a tumor that size! Dropping my rating sorry not sorry. Original post: So my dogs went here from about 2021 to 2025 until I PCSd. At first they seemed great however they were constantly over booked not bring you back till almost an hour past your slot. One of my dogs was having hip/knee issues and they constantly pushed X-rays wouldn't find anything and recommended CAT scans (that cost a lot!) I never pulled the trigger on it as I knew I was leaving soon and would get a second opinion. I get to my new location the new vet figured out the issue within five minutes of being there and scheduled an entire plan. Yes X-rays again but he automatically assumes it's arthritis but wants to take a look. No upselling and finally relief for me and my dog knowing we have a way forward. I will say before I left they hired a new vet and are working to fix the building (I think they should move). They are not open in the weekends at close before 5 so it's just very frustrating. I hope they can do better for the community. Also they are not cheap...not the most expensive but not cheap.

This review is about more than seeing Tank this morning; this is for the level of professionalism you and your entire staff show when I reached out this morning. I'm not sure if you're aware of the time I called, or the time a return call was given to me, so I'll include that information when I express my gratitude by highlighting my experience with Dr. Reese and her team. Around 20 Jan., Dr. Reese saw my little American Bully buddy Tank. He was diagnosed with an ulcer in his eye. Dr. Reese was thorough with her diagnosis explanation, as well as the treatment best suited for this situation. Moving a little fast from then to now, Tank was on the healing side of his ulcer until this past weekend. Possibly scratched his eye or had something in it. Part of me was hoping this was part of the healing process, but something wasn't right. I called the Animal Hospital Dr. Reese worked at on the morning of 28 Jan., around 0730, concerned Tank's eye was at a state of irreversible damage and possibly causing much more pain to spread due to the swelling. Knowing the office didn't open until 0830, I wanted to be one of the first to receive a callback. To my surprise, I received a call at 0803 letting me know they could see Tank at 1000. Remember, the office opens at 0830 and I received a call at 0803. I arrived at 0930 and was taken to a room. Waiting a very short period of time, Tank was weighed, temperature checked, doctors collaborated on Tank's condition, and I was given the available options with his best interest at heart. With the information I was given, my wife and I was able to decide on Tank's treatment. While we never wanted to be in this predicament, Tank's health and well-being was our, and the doctor's, primary concern. We opted to have his eye removed. Within six and a half hours, I reached out and our little buddy was in and out of surgery. Not to mention, the cost was more than reasonable. Conclusion: We have had many veterinarians in the past, as we have rescued a lot of furbabies. Dr. Reese has quickly become part of our family. Personable and caring, the staff doesn't try to get you "in and out". The doctors don't try to load you up with medicines. Instead, the staff is professional, patient, and understanding. Dr. Reese listens to your concerns, educates and explains any treatments of medical issues, and above all...LOVES your furbabies like her own. To Dr. Reese, thank you, from the bottom our hearts. Sincerely, The Haines family
