This review is about more than seeing Tank this morning; this is for the level of professionalism you and your entire staff show when I reached out this morning. I'm not sure if you're aware of the time I called, or the time a return call was given to me, so I'll include that information when I express my gratitude by highlighting my experience with Dr. Reese and her team. Around 20 Jan., Dr. Reese saw my little American Bully buddy Tank. He was diagnosed with an ulcer in his eye. Dr. Reese was thorough with her diagnosis explanation, as well as the treatment best suited for this situation. Moving a little fast from then to now, Tank was on the healing side of his ulcer until this past weekend. Possibly scratched his eye or had something in it. Part of me was hoping this was part of the healing process, but something wasn't right. I called the Animal Hospital Dr. Reese worked at on the morning of 28 Jan., around 0730, concerned Tank's eye was at a state of irreversible damage and possibly causing much more pain to spread due to the swelling. Knowing the office didn't open until 0830, I wanted to be one of the first to receive a callback. To my surprise, I received a call at 0803 letting me know they could see Tank at 1000. Remember, the office opens at 0830 and I received a call at 0803. I arrived at 0930 and was taken to a room. Waiting a very short period of time, Tank was weighed, temperature checked, doctors collaborated on Tank's condition, and I was given the available options with his best interest at heart. With the information I was given, my wife and I was able to decide on Tank's treatment. While we never wanted to be in this predicament, Tank's health and well-being was our, and the doctor's, primary concern. We opted to have his eye removed. Within six and a half hours, I reached out and our little buddy was in and out of surgery. Not to mention, the cost was more than reasonable. Conclusion: We have had many veterinarians in the past, as we have rescued a lot of furbabies. Dr. Reese has quickly become part of our family. Personable and caring, the staff doesn't try to get you "in and out". The doctors don't try to load you up with medicines. Instead, the staff is professional, patient, and understanding. Dr. Reese listens to your concerns, educates and explains any treatments of medical issues, and above all...LOVES your furbabies like her own. To Dr. Reese, thank you, from the bottom our hearts. Sincerely, The Haines family

We boarded our pets at the Pet Lodge for 2 days/3 nights in March 2026. On the day that my husband…read morepicked up our pets, he placed the leftover food for our dog's stay on the kitchen counter. I immediately noticed a very foul odor coming from the container that had our dog's food in it. The smell was awful and I could smell it before I even opened the container!! When I opened it, the smell coming from the food was horrid! It had obviously spoiled. This was fresh chicken that my husband had cooked the day before we took our pets to the lodge. When I spoke to the manager on duty to inform her of this, she stated that she didn't know how that could have happened, but that she would talk to the staff. I told her that the food had to have been left out for a long period of time or the electricity to the refrigerator must have gone off, for the food to have gone bad that quickly. To be able to smell the rotten food without even opening the plastic container, was pretty bad. I regret that we had not taken the rotten food back to the Pet Lodge immediately to allow them an opportunity not only to smell the rotten food, but to explain to us how this could have happened in person. When our dog came in the house that day, she was not herself. She obviously didn't feel well and was not excited to see us like she usually is. This was very concerning! She continued to be very quiet and acted strange for the first 2 days after returning from The Lodge and she also had very loose/runny stools for a few days. I also found a can of cat food in our cat's belongings bag that was NOT a food that we feed our cat. Our cat is on a strict renal diet, has special food and it was made clear to the staff that he could only eat the food we brought and that he could have NO other food. He could literally get sick and go into renal failure from eating the wrong food. The manager was unable to explain how someone else's can of cat food ended up in our cat's belongings bag, and she assured us that they didn't feed him any food except what we had brought. I do not trust that! I was not satisfied with the manager's responses on that day and asked to speak to the owner. The owner called us a few days later. I would have really appreciated getting a call from her on the same day, but that didn't happen. The owner was very defensive in her tone when I told her what happened and made her aware of the rotten food that our dog had obviously been fed and of the strange cat food in our pet's belongings bag. She told me that all of their staff are trained to give fresh, refrigerated food a sniff before feeding. There is NO WAY this could have happened! Like I said, the owner was very defensive, didn't seem to care what I had to say, showed no concern for our pets and she never accepted any responsibility for what happened. She also said that the electricity had not gone off during our pets' stay and that the refrigerator was working fine. That tells me that the food was left out for a long period of time. We will NEVER take our pets back to the Pet Lodge, Fort Valley again - and I hope those who read this will make other arrangements for their pet. I have nothing to gain by writing this complaint, other than to hope that no one else's pet is taken there and given the opportunity to be treated in this neglectful, unprofessional and potentially harmful manner.

Unfortunately, Coco has digestive issues, and if we ever have to board him, we would rather have him at a veterinary hospital that is familiar with his medical needs. The staff is always friendly, and the veterinarians take their time when telling us exactly what needs to be done to keep our little one in the best health. My husband and I had a couple of occasions outside of Coco's annual visits where our pup needed medical care, and Critter Fixer was able to accommodate us within hours. Their boarding service is reasonably priced, and they even take the dogs on daily walks during boarding so they can get some exercise. I'm not sure what the boarding facilities look like, but I will say that my Coco did not seem traumatized after his stay, so it must have been decent. My only issue is that it is not easy to get them on the phone. They have a phone service that answers and will try to transfer you, and if no one answers, they take a message and have the office call you back. Since we live about 10 minutes away, usually my husband will drive to their office to schedule appointments, but it is definitely inconvenient and annoying. Overall, we are pleased with the service and glad to have a place to take our fur baby for all his needs.

This service is a mobile bet care service where she comes to hiuThis is absolute what I needed during the COVID pandemic, I was looking for a way to groom my dog which would not expose me or my family to people. Our immediate thought was that we could groom our dog on our own; hence the before picture. What that picture doesn't show is the blood from when we tried to clip his nails ourselves. I hated that that happened because I knew that he was in pain and we had to put the cone of shame to keep him from licking it. A few weeks later my neighbor gave me this recommendation. I contacted Brandy via Facebook messenger. She answered in less than a day and told me what she needed and her rates. I told her what had happened with someone in my house trying a home made grooming and she completely understood, but did not make me feel bad about it. I asked her to keep me in mind when she made her way to my neighborhood. She contacted me about 4days later and I made an appointment. I was able to pay her ahead of time and tell my husband that he would not have to trim the dog, again. It worked out perfect she showed up on time and trimmed him all up. I am on active duty and deployed oversees so, knowing that my dog would not have to experience a home hair/nail trim was a big relief. The best part, is that I knew that I would have him groomed up and back in the house without having him in a random crate with other dogs nearby; like in other pet groomers.
