My experience with Dr. Cho, is the best. I have a very bad gum recession and refused to have the surgery to fix it. I had such a hard time accepting the idea of removing skin from the roof of my mouth and sewing it over the uncovered roots of my teeth. But, my gum recession get so bad so I asked a friend who is a hygienist and she highly recommended Dr Cho. In September 2016 i had my gum surgery with Dr Cho. Every thing was so smooth with great result. I went again to see him for another gum surgery and he insisted with me that I didn't need it. I am really amazed by his competence and integrity. I also would give credit to all his office staff. Every one in that office is very nice and humble. Never have to wait even when I arrive too early for my appointment. They dealt with my insurance with a lot of patience and never pressured me for the delay and the mistakes committed by the the claims department. I just completed an implant with Dr. Cho, a procedure that I had anxiety about because I hate dental work! I was very pleasantly surprised. First, they made me very comfortable with a blanket and headphones. I got to listen to some of my favorite music during the procedure which helped a lot. I just had crown lengthening surgery (bone removal, not just tissue) with Dr. Cho yesterday. Let me tell you, I am a pretty calm dental patient, but I was quite anxious about this procedure. I had read about and heard firsthand horror stories from people about how uncomfortable this procedure and it's recovery can be. But I had also been advised that it depends on the technique of the surgeon, as well as how your mouth and tissues respond. I was referred to Dr. Cho by my regular dentist Dr. Sabet (also excellent). The entire process was very easy and quite painless. Dr. Cho and his entire staff are very warm, accommodating and comforting. I was shocked at how *not in pain* I was, and continue to be, after the surgery. I can eat and drink liquids with no issue and no pain. They did offer me Halcion before the surgery, which is a common "sleep dentistry" drug. It didn't put me out or make me not remember the procedure (as it does for many) but it worked well for making the whole experience very mellow and comfortable. I went home, snoozed a little and had dinner later. As I was finishing this review, Dr. Cho personally gave me a follow-up call and invited me to call back with any questions or concerns. Dr. Cho is a master at dentistry in general and implants in particular. I had a very complicated implant problem. My implant tooth broke off just below the gum line but the screw portion of the abutment remained stuck inside the implant base. The dentist who had originally installed my implant wanted to charge me full price for a brand new implant and thousands just to extract the broken off screw. I went to Dr. Cho for a second opinion. He analyzed the problem and set into motion the perfect action plan. He first sent me to Dr. Mastrovich, a local dentist who invented unique technology designed to extract implant screws. After Dr. Mastrovich did his magic, I returned to Dr. Cho who finished the job and left me with a new, trouble-free, fully functioning implant. I was referred to Dr. Cho by my family dentist when an x-ray detected an infection in the bone of a route canal tooth. I went into the consult visit with Dr. Cho with a lot of anxiety and fear. He was very informative, confirmed the infection with his more sophisticated x-ray equipment, and recommended extraction, bone graft, and dental implant. Dr. Cho took the time to explain each step, time lines, and recovery. His calming, gentle bedside manner relieved my fears. Since I requested anesthesia for the procedure, he arranged for an outstanding dental anesthesiologist to assist and they made an excellent team in providing top-rate skilled care and attention. Today is the day after surgery. I have no swelling and just a hint of discomfort at the surgical site. Dr. Cho called today to follow up on how I was feeling. Dr. Cho is an outstanding periodontist. That fact is apparent the first time he looks in your mouth. He does so with such care, and precision. I decided to go with him, to have 5 teeth gum grafted. I couldn't be happier with the experience. I have read many testimonials for that type of procedure, and I haven't found *any* that described how easy my experience was with Dr. Cho. The worst part was the fear of the procedure. The reality was: it was a walk in the park (aside from having a liquid diet for a while). I had virtually no bleeding, he did such a good stitch-job.
