My PCM referred me to Dr. Eves, was booked for an appointment, and was seen quickly. The scheduling staff and referrals were patient and provided me with outstanding customer service. I am so grateful to Maria Rene (MA) and Angel (PA), they are the "A" team in pain management. Maria Rene is an angel on earth who was sent to provide great care and comfort to patients. Angel, the PA, is so understanding; he listens to patients' concerns and answers questions about patient care. Thank you Maria and Angel for being the best of what you do and for being helping me feel better. read more

As a concerned spouse, I am extremely disappointed with our experience at this office. My spouse waited nearly three months for an appointment and completed all requested paperwork ahead of time, including signing forms acknowledging responsibility for out-of-pocket costs despite having Tricare insurance. We were transparent about the medical situation from the beginning and arranged time away from work specifically for this appointment. Prior to the visit, we were repeatedly assured that the office had everything necessary to proceed. However, upon arrival, we were informed that my spouse could not be seen because the office required documentation showing that a workers' compensation claim had been denied. We explained that we were willing to proceed as self-pay patients and even suggested obtaining any needed records directly through a medical release authorization. Despite this, the appointment was canceled and no evaluation was provided. What concerns me most is the lack of communication before the appointment. If this documentation was required, we should have been informed weeks in advance rather than on the day of the visit after months of waiting and taking time off work. Fortunately, we had access to imaging results and were able to better understand the situation, but many patients would not have that option. Delays, unclear requirements, and last-minute cancellations can create unnecessary stress for people seeking medical care. I hope the office reviews its scheduling and intake procedures so that future patients receive clear guidance about any required documentation before their appointment date. Better coordination and communication would help prevent others from experiencing the same frustration and inconvenience that our family encountered. read more

Dr Eves, you said you had no idea what happened during my surgery. Maybe this helps? The posterior cord of the brachial plexus primarily innervates the muscles of the posterior arm and forearm, which can be affected by the motor dysfunction seen in Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). Key muscles include the deltoid and teres minor (axillary nerve), and the triceps brachii, anconeus, supinator, and extensors of the forearm/hand (radial nerve). Key Muscles Innervated by Posterior Cord Branches: Axillary Nerve (C5-C6): Deltoid (shoulder abduction) and Teres minor (external rotation). Radial Nerve (C5-T1): Triceps brachii and Anconeus (arm extension), and posterior forearm muscles (wrist/finger extension). Upper Subscapular Nerve (C5-C6): Subscapularis muscle. Lower Subscapular Nerve (C5-C6): Subscapularis and Teres major muscles. Thoracodorsal Nerve (C6-C8): Latissimus dorsi muscle. While CRPS is generally a syndrome of autonomic and sensory dysfunction, it often results in muscle weakness or motor impairment (dystonia or tremors) in the affected limb. If CRPS arises from a direct injury to the posterior cord, the muscles listed above may exhibit significant weakness or atrophy. My Emg/ssep studies showed abnormalities of the axillary and radial nerves...hmm, posterior cord? IDK, just sayin...add CRPS...Does that help you remember now? read more

I was referred to Dr Eves by my primary Dr. Scheduling was easy and I was able to get an appointment rather fast. Within five minutes of my appointment time I was already seen by the nurse and waiting for the Dr. I am glad to finally get my issues resolved. The entire office was warm and welcoming. read more

I've been a patient of Dr eves for the last 10 years and have always had great experiences all the way from the staff in every department there but today, a receptionist of the name of CC went beyond her job duties I know for a fact most people would not have done they would have said sorry that's not my department but cc totally help me out if you walk into Dr. eves say hello to CC. She is a great person. read more

I make an appointment like a month ago I gave them my insurance and one week before the appointment they call to let me know that they are not working with my insurance So I wasted ONE MONTH , now I have to call someone else and for sure wait for an appointment again!!!!! What I see now is that they don't care at all! The lady that called has zero empathy If you can choose someone else read more

I barely even know where to start. I left my appointment in tears. I've had neck pain for years and when I switched to Sharp I really thought I'd be getting a better level of care but I have never felt so disrespected by a doctor. None of the staff listened to me at all. The doctor poked my shoulder once and offered me "a topical gel" as though I don't already own all of them. I didn't get the chance to ask questions or ask for any specific treatment plans. It's just another referral to physical therapy and Bengay. This was useless. Just useless. They don't care. read more

Reception staff does not coordinate with Medical staff. When the staff PA stated, "how would I know your situation before I saw you?" A. You obviously don't talk within your organization. Don't bother trying to get help from the staff up front. Then, you wait months only to experience an empty reception area, where's the wait? Dr. never seen in 2 different visits, he's running an annuity vs. caring facility. read more

Wait times are horrible. Doctors don't really care. Sorry, but that has been my experience. Others have complained as well. Waiting over an hour in Waiting area, and then, another hour wait in the room. read more

Dr. Eves is very knowledgeable and professional. His staff is very friendly. They treat us with companionship. Best Orthopedic in Chula Vista. read more

Horrible staff!!! They do not fallow up on phone calls at all! Crystal I'm assuming a ft end staff member who takes calls and schedule appointments does not do her job, does not have any considerations for patients concerns and there needs. Apparently does not have a clue on communication skills and why is she in that position???? Office manager says after a week of lack of resolve-meant, says oh we are under staffed and Can not accept any new patients at this time. The go to excuse! When all else fails. But this is a week later after first phone call I made! So just don't pretend your a professional staff if you guys have no clue. Don't waste your time with dr William eves staff or office. read more

Why the f*ck is my appointment at 1 but I'm still sitting here waiting at 2? This is some bullshit

This office and the Dr. have dropped the ball communicating with referred appointments and left me hanging for months. I had to do the follow up. Today, I was kept waiting 1 1/2 hours after my appointment time. When he and his PA did show up, they were unapologetic as if nothing was out of the ordinary. It appears, I might be wrong, that $ may be the driver of this. I felt and was disrespected! I eventually ended up dictating my own course of action from advice I had gotten from another doctor to address my issue. Never again, methinks not. read more

Dr. Eves office acts as a Collection Agency. They harass you even when you have solid insurance and are up to date on your bill payments. Their phone calls implying you are a serial debtor are highly offensive, and frankly, outright intrusive. Good medical staff, terrible financial management. read more

Had one visit with Dr. Eves's office. Frontline personnel very unfriendly. They took an xray of my fractured shoulder, followed by a meeting with a PA, who explained the contents of the Xray and told me to keep wearing my sling for another two weeks. For ONE visit plus an Xray, they charged my insurance $1,125! Insurance paid $650 and I'm responsible for the balance. My bill showed $700 for treating my fracture. Nobody treated anything! I did not receive a stint, a sling or anything else! I called my insurance and they're reviewing it. I called his office to state that I received NO treatment for my fracture and that I would contest it. They assured me they would have someone from the office call me and you guessed it...haven't heard from anyone. Customer service, I think not! read more

Dr Eves and his team are AWESOME!! They work quickly and are very caring, polite and professional. Thank you Dr Eves and team.

HORRIBLE service! If you break a bone and are in pain and need to see a doctor within the 3-5 days the er requests SKIP this one. Called to get an appointment and spoke to the office assistant Myrna. She is VERY rude and unhelpful. Thank goodness I had my insurance company on the conference call otherwise they wouldn't of believed me. I filed a complaint with my insurance company and requested another doctor who can see me today. Save yourself and your injury and find a doctor's office that is willing to help. read more

I wouldn't go anywhere else!! Dr.Eves and his team are very friendly and professional.Ive been going there for many years for all my bone related care.I had never had to wait.I go a little early at times and have been seen before my appt.time.I also want to mention his team of Physical therapists...nothing short of AMAZING.They care about you. They know their business.Vera,Michelle and receptionist Abby are all amazing people and make you feel like family. They are my heroes (: read more

I took my mom for a follow up appointment with Dr. Eves. He had ordered an MRI of her knee. 1 hour after our scheduled appointment I asked the receptionist about the wait. No apology given just a simple "there are 4 more patients ahead of you and he's running behind". Two hours after scheduled appt doctor walked in exam room, no introduction, no aplogy and then seemed annoyed when I asked follow up questions. Finished answering questions, turned around and exited room. He spent 2 minutes at most with us. Very rude and condescending. Would never recommend anyone to this doctor. Staff and doctor all very rude. I felt no sense of caring from anyone in that office. read more

I went to Dr. Eves to get a second opinion on lower back surgery. I found he and his staff to be exceptional. From the beginning paperwork to the final analysis, not just with the dr. But with his 5 assistance of various capabilities, the level of treatment was amazing. Because of this we found a better method to treat my condition than surgery! For that I will be forever grateful! I did notice he has a lot of patients, some had to wait, but he is worth the wait as he won't brush you off with an easy pill but give the answers that are best for you! He truly cares! read more

The staff is excellent and created a friendly/warm environment. I could not be happier with Dr. Eves.

Can't say enough great things about Dr eves and PA Christina. I have had pain in my arm, shoulder, hand and wrist for years. Excellent Dr to see if you want it to be resolved and healed instead of coping with the problem although he does help a lot with coping the team of PA's and Eves find the best possible solution. Amazing office and staff thank you so much for continuing to help me through this process. read more

My experience with Dr. Eves and his staff was very positive. The front desk staff was very friendly and advised me of the wait. For those of us who frequent Dr. offices often like me we know to bring a book or smartphone . The waiting room was clean. The patient room I was in was also very clean and looked to have modern equipment. After doing research on the internet and reading blogs about my knee problems I wrote down all my questions so I would not forget what to ask and Dr. Eves answered all of them . He then proceeded to explain to me the latest treatment options that best fit my situation. I was so glad to hear that I don't have to have surgery . His office offers the latest in non surgical treatment options to help rehab my knee. Overall I was very satisfied with my experience with Dr. Eves , his staff and the PA that took me on a tour of the state of the art rehab facility/ equipment that I will be spending time with. read more

Long wait times ! Dr Eves will only be a flash in your eye. Luckily Angel is on top of things . Has a lot of" its my first day" employess and their excuses . Other than that Dr Eves is a great surgeon. read more

I agree with the first review holy toledo 1 hour 45 mins today it is impossible for him to take care of all the patients he had today in the time I was there. His PA tried her best to talk me out of getting surgery for a complete meniscus tear! When I insisted on surgery Dr Eves said 2-3 weeks and I was told at the desk expect a call in month. Something has to be done about Sharp's Community medical group doctors having a million patients. read more

Fabulous Doctor and fabulous staff. I have had a shoulder problem for years and doctor Eves was the only doc that actually helped me out and more than relieved my symptoms - they are completely gone! Nobody in 12 years has figured out my problem! I am so grateful! I highly recommend him! read more

If you need a knowledgeable, conservative and experienced physician make an appointment with Dr. Eves. You may have to wait a few extra minutes to see him but when someone is good and they treat all people equally that is a trade off. I want to be heard and seen and so do his other patients. He is terrific. read more

I have to agree in part with the first reviewer. I was Dr. Eves's patient for a number of years (no longer). He used to have two older partners, and I think that when they retired, he kept the same number of patients. I always allowed three hours for appointments when I had to go to work afterward. One hour in the waiting room plus one in the examining room was not unusual. I once arrived for the first appointment of the day and signed in and noticed that there were eight other patients to see him, all with that first appointment time. The biggest problem is the parking. His is not the only office in the building, and when you have many, many patients waiting hours, the parking spaces don't free up easily. There is limited parking allowed on Fourth Avenue, and on occasion I have walked five blocks to the office. And I have a handicapped placard! I found the support staff and the physician's assistants in that office to be wonderful, but the waiting times are outrageous. In my general practitioner's office, there is a sign "If you are waiting more than twenty minutes for your appointment, please bring it to our attention." I think Dr. Eves should take a lesson from that. Giving two stars because of the high quality of the other staff. read more
