William and his guys are fantastic! We needed two bathrooms in our new condo made wheelchair accessible and William was there with us all the way. Actually, he is still working with us right now on other needs in our unit and continues to be a true partner in this process! He is fast, very responsive, very friendly and made this daunting process entirely doable. We look forward to continuing to work with William and I cannot recommend him more highly for regular and more unusual plumbing and remodeling needs! read more

I had a malfunctioning faucet in my kitchen sink, and I couldn't find a plumber who could come same day. It was the day before Christmas, and I needed the faucet to be working to make Christmas dinner. Fortunately, William squeezed me into his schedule, came out that afternoon, promptly diagnosed the problem, repaired the faucet, and saved the day. I will gladly call him again for any plumbing repairs. read more

I called William Cruz Plumbing based on a recommendation from the manufacturer of our water heater (Takagi) after it stopped working and left us without hot water on 12/23. William took the time to thoroughly explain all the possible issues, provided a realistic estimate for repairs, and even gave us an idea of the costs involved if replacement became necessary all over the phone. When he came out, it turned out the issue was a simple fix, and we were only charged for the service visit. William really knows his stuff and took the time to educate us on proper maintenance and care for our tankless water heater. I would highly recommend him for his professionalism, knowledge, and honesty. read more

Our water heater decided to start leaking so, as we've been doing for almost 20 years, we called William. He's our plumber of choice and should be yours, as well. He's fairly priced, prompt to respond and gives detailed explanations for what you need. We highly recommend William and his team! read more

I wish more business place operated this way. William picked up the phone himself, gave me an appointment the next day and arrived on time. He fixed our washer and was happy to explain what he was doing and why. He willingly answered some questions about other plus issues in our house. I would definitely use him again. read more

I've used this company twice now on last second plumbing needs for my tenants and both times have been very responsive, thorough, and reasonable. Additionally, they explained what fixes needed to get done today versus what could be around the corner as a larger repair / replacement. I appreciate that as all too often I've had past plumbers go straight to the larger replacement. Locking their number in my phone now as my go-to. read more

A+++++ William is so professional and FAST! I called him on a Sunday night because a shared line in my apartment got clogged and backed up into my kitchen sink. He answered right away and calmly walked me through the steps to take, from calling the landlord and talking to the upstairs neighbor, to recommending cleaning afterward. He arrived first thing in the morning and was very thorough, even walking me through what he was doing and why, preventative steps if something like this happens in the future, and informing me about possible reoccurrences if certain things aren't fixed. Great communication skills is a real plus too. I can't recommend him enough!! 10/10 read more

Mr Cruz replaced a shower head in my bathroom. He did way more than he included in his estimate. His assistant repaired the drywall so well that it cannot even be seen. A small unrelated problem came up the next day and he fixed it within a day. He has always been very fair in his pricing, arrives promptly, and is pleasant and cheerful. read more

William Cruz has been out to my house about 4 times in the past 2 years. The jobs were both big and small. He is a great plumber for a number of reasons: he returns calls promptly and arranges a visit the same day or the next, he charges fair prices, he does excellent work and explains everything, and he follows up afterwards to make sure everything is OK. What is not to like about excellent work and excellent customer service. That's why he gets 5 stars from me. Kaye M. read more

Our A.O. Smith hot water tank had stopped working. It was still under warranty so the company sent us a new pilot assembly. We called the plumber we have used for other problems, the one who installed the tank initially (we didn't know about William Cruz Plumbing then), to install the new pilot assembly, but after he left, we noticed that the flame in the pilot area was much bigger than usual and made a loud sputtering sound, something we'd never heard before from the unit. We called him back. He claimed it was fine, but we were still worried about the tank's safety. I even had PG&E check it out, and their technician said it was okay. I then called A.O. Smith again and told the service person what we were experiencing. He said it was something they were familiar with and referred us to William Cruz Plumbing. Natalie, the woman I spoke with on the phone, said it sounded as if there was a hole in the burner, and she was right. She sent out a technician who confirmed the problem. A.O. Smith sent us a new burner as well as a valve assembly. Once these things arrived, Natalie did everything she could to get one of their workers out here to install these new parts, and our pilot assembly now functions normally. No flames. No loud sputtering. It's finally safe again. We're so grateful to have been referred to Cruz Plumbing, and we feel we now have a REAL plumber to call on when we need someone. Excellent service and customer care. I'm totally impressed! read more

I am beyond happy with their service. We had a plumbing issue late in the day and they came out same day . Mr Cruz was super nice and explained everything that was going on. Everything was done quick and professionally done. Hopefully we do not have the same issue again, but if I do I know who I will call. Definitely happy. read more

After almost a month after repairing the leak under the kitchen sink I have nothing but praise. When I called them, they came the same day after written confirmation no one had Covid or had been in contact with anyone who had it. They arrived with their mask on. The repair required more time than originally expected and I was allowed to watch and see the replaced plumbing. The cost for coming out was given ahead of the agreement and the total amount was less than I thought. read more

William and his team are amazing. They completed a full bathroom remodel in my condo in a matter of weeks. I had to deal with 2 unreliable contractors in Oakland before I finally found William, and it was a HUGE relief to finally work with someone so professional and skilled. William's work is exceptional. He and his team always showed up on time and with a smile. They worked fast and kept me informed about every step in the process. I took out a permit from the city of Oakland for this job, and we passed all the inspections with flying colors! Thank you, William and team! I will be calling you for help with all my house-related projects going forward. His prices are very reasonable and he really makes sure you are happy with the end result. If you are thinking about a remodel, or need just need some plumbing work done in your house, look no further!! read more

I0 STARS!!!! AMAZING, PLUMBING EXPERTS, TIMELY, PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS, HELPFUL, PLEASANT, SUPER SUPER CLEAN!! William and Nathalie did an amazing job. They made us a priority and came after a long day and stayed to examine and explain what the problem was and what was needed to repair plumbing. They got equipment and were here as soon as humanely possible, which was so appreciated. They did an impeccable expert job and cleaned up so very well, I was completely impressed! There is a reason they have only 5 star reviews from everyone, it is because they go above and beyond the call of duty. read more

William did a replacement of our old Galvanized Steel plumbing throughout the whole house. He showed up when he said he would and put in some really long days to get the work done in a timely manner. Throughout the process, he has been easy to get along with and informative. His friendly manner has been great. He has a professional crew with him and they were respectful during the whole work process. I would recommend them without hesitation. read more

William, Natalie and a their crew make an excellent team. I would give them 10-stars if I could. As a repeat customer owning properties all over the map, I'm especially particular about my plumbers, roofers and electricians. They are honest and upfront, keep you updated, answer your questions, and solve any problems that may arise. EXCELLENT venders and tenants are the lifeblood of my business. When I found out I had to "replumb" a 3-unit building, I immediately thought of William. He was upfront and said the property was too far away for him and his crew to do the job since it was a 2-hour drive each way. I totally understood. But, I insisted on working with William, so I offered to put he and his crew up to stay in town because I knew he was worth it. For example, since his last re-pipe job 4+ years ago on another property, I have never had any problems. William's method also saved me thousands by not having to pay someone to sheetrock walls and replace floors, for instance. William's price is fair, he's experienced and uses only high quality materials so his work lasts much longer than most. Thank you William and Natalie for working with me on this last job-Well done! read more

Despite not doing any work in my home - William Cruz Plumbing gets five stars! I contacted the plumber who initially did work on our house but said he was too busy and referred me to two other plumbers. One never returned my text and the other was William Cruz Plumbing. When I called William asked if I was free as he could be at my house in Oakland in 15 minutes. In less than 15 minutes, my doorbell rang. He and an associate carefully inspected my shower leak and gave me straight up advise on next steps. It's really easy for experienced plumbers to provide immediate customer service and concise input without doing a full repair. So why do most lose this quick opportunity? William Cruz Plumbing has expertly figured that out service excellence and responds accordingly. They will absolutely be my first and only call for plumbing issues going forward!! read more

We've worked with William on several projects in the last few years. We have been so pleased with William and his team. Most recently, we let him know that we suspected there was a leak somewhere in our system. He came out, found it within a few minutes, and returned to replaced the faulty part very quickly -- all at no cost because of his warranty from previous work. We really appreciate William and his guarantee of his work! Thank you, William! read more

William and his crew just replaced a 10' sewer lateral for us. When other bigger name plumbing companies quoted massive prices that included a lot of unnecessary work (like digging into the street) William knew a smarter and better way to do exactly what the city wanted. They were in and out in a day and a half. The inspector have us an approval that's good for 20 years too. They are super professional, fairly priced and very quick to text, respond and discuss the potential scope of work and different options. We had to wait a bit for him to have some time and it was totally worth it. read more

William Cruz Plumbing is the best! William is always prompt, friendly, professional, offers amazing service for a reasonable price, and is truly passionate about his work. William and his crew came on a Saturday when my sinks all started backing up. The work was done expertly and quickly--the explanations were clear--he took the time to show me what was going on. He and his team were also very friendly, which I really appreciated. Will definitely call William again when I need plumbing help. You should, too! You will not be disappointed! read more

Our sump pump stopped working on a Saturday morning just in time for the rain. Our 9 yr. old pump is in in the garage so I was quite worried about flooding. William took my call early and offered to stop by to take a look at the pump after he finished the job he was at. After I sent a few pics he told me he was on his way and stopped by his supplier and picked up a new pump, just in case, but told me I wasn't obliged to go with it if I didn't want to. I liked his efficiency. He gave me updates on his arrival and once he looked at and worked with the pump, he told me I didn't necessarily have to replace it and the stop was just a malfunction probably due to the age of the unit; he advised that it would be a good idea to replace it but gave me the option not to as long as I understood the risks. Although the pump did have some wear left on it I did decide to replace it to avoid a future flood. William did the work (and showed me how to do it) quickly and efficiently. Vacuumed the area afterwards and left it cleaner than it was prior to the work. Flat price was reasonable for a Saturday "emergency". Will definitely be calling William again for any other plumbing issues. Praying for rain again and not worried... read more

I highly recommend William Cruz Plumbing!!! Exceptional customer and professional service.

They were really great. They didn't give up until they were finished. I highly recommend to anyone

I made at least twenty phone calls to plumbing companies on memorial day for a furious leak in a pipe outside in my back yard. Half the companies didn't respond, and half of them had some kind of "special" charges--- one company had the utter balls to say they would charge $395.00 just to come out and do an estimate on memorial day! Others had charges ranging from $90 to $190 just to come out and give an estimate, and many said they had no one working on memorial day. I called William Cruz Plumbing, and Natalie told me she might be able to get someone out in the afternoon or next day, she would check and call me back. She said they would charge $55 for the estimate l if I didn't hire them to do the work, and if I did hire them, they would only charge for the work. Natalie got right back to me, the plumbers came out exactly when they said they would, they worked efficiently, and it appears they did a good job. They charged a reasonable amount for the work, and were very pleasant to deal with. You really cannot ask for more. I will definitely call them whenever I need a plumber! read more

If you suddenly have a plumbing emergency, you can put an immediate end to your anxiety by contacting William Cruz Plumbing. Our old water heater died unexpectedly on a Friday afternoon. We reached out to a number of local plumbers but none had any time available for at least a week. Yikes! No way we could survive a week without hot water. My fellow real estate agent, Michael Price-Brown, recommended we call William. Boy was he right! William was phenomenal. He was sympathetic to our plight and switched some things around in his busy schedule so that he could get to us on Monday morning. He showed up exactly on time and evaluated the situation. He very patiently and thoroughly discussed our options. We asked about installing a tankless water heater. He explained the pros and cons. Even though it meant less money for him, based upon the information he provided, we opted for a traditional 40 gallon water heater. He had it installed by the end of that afternoon. In addition to his excellent work, he cleaned up a bunch of little things that needed to be replaced from the former plumber such as some pipe fitting, an air-vent stack and various connectors. William is an expert plumber with a ton of experience. More importantly, he is a man of integrity. I trust this man and wholeheartedly recommend you turn to him for all your plumbing needs. read more

William deserves 6 stars! He came to our house because we've always had poor drainage in our old Berkeley bungalow. For no charge, he crawled into the small crawl space, sussed it out, took pictures, and presented us with three different levels of repair options. We opted for the big kahuna, which entailed an entire day's work. He came with his helper at 8am, and stayed past 8pm, until the job was done enough so that we could have our plumbing back. He then returned the next day to finish up. And get this...he found a dead, bloated rat under the house, and with just a little cajoling, he agreed to extract it for us as well. That was WAY above the call of duty, and he refused a tip for doing that as well (Otherwise yours truly would have to go get it!). AND he scoped our sewer lateral at no extra cost! I find William to be fast, reliable, and honest. Skip the Roto-Rooter conglomerates, and do yourselves a favor. Shop local. Call William Cruz Plumbing! read more

William installed an earthquake shut off valve and was prompt and clear in his communications. Along the way, he attempted to provide an opportunity for me to have an inspection done without his presence (that would have saved us appx $200), however, the inspection scheduling clerks and system made it clear that his personal involvement would be needed. We passed no problem. After seeing how clunky the inspection process is, I can't blame William for the fact that he had to take extra time to comply. Regardless, William also provided additional time of his to help me consider other plumbing issues likely to arise in the future at no extra charge. read more

William is great. Responds immediately and has the simplest and best solution to every plumbing problem.

Called William Cruz this morning, we had a backed up sink, he arrived within 20 min. He is very professional, I can't stress this enough he explained everything he would be doing, and we watched while he worked. He is fine with people watching him work, he quoted us a price and stuck to the price.. He was able to fix the clog in no time, and explained and showed us what caused the clog. He is reasonable with his prices, and you just can't get better service than this. We have been ripped off in the past and very careful of who we trust, he has restored our faith in honesty. read more

William helped us work through a stressful issue with a major drain line running under our home. We initially contacted him to help install a laundry - but during his very thorough review of the work he discovered a cracked pipe. He spent an hour with us during the first visit, walking through the various options and providing thorough quotes on the work. He then came out two additional times to confirm the work we wanted to do - all the while helping us to weigh the pros and cons of not only the work, but it would might mean for future improvements/renovations we might consider. I can't remember working with a more thoughtful, service-oriented professional. He has always been friendly, patient, honest, on time and has done incredible work. His team is friendly and fast. Lastly, he is very good at taking the time to explain everything he is doing and has done. So, as a homeowner, you receive a little education on the systems he is building. It's a service he does not need to provide, but that makes him all the more impressive. read more
