Today she is 3.5 and it was the first time they had to scrape for tartar. She was obviously scared but Dr Christa showed her on her nails that it doesn't hurt, they're did the same with the fluoride. My little emotional girl didn't cry at all. They have a play kitchen in the waiting room so I go 10 mins early so she can play. They also let you pick a little toy out of a vending machine at the end.

The dentist ran about 15 minutes behind schedule but the waiting room is WELL stocked for kids! Video games, books, toys galore and Toy Story on the TV! In the chair, my daughter felt so comfortable. The staff was so relaxed, calm and comforting- she wasn't even nervous! Her teeth were counted, brushed, flossed and had fluoride applied. Then she got to pick a prize! She was so happy! He arrived for his appointment on Dec 12, 2024 to be told it was cancelled on Nov 1, 2024 because Brite Smiles had decided to no longer be enrolled in the plan. We receive no call, no email, no card from them about this cancellation. To further comlicate their incompetence an appointment was made for me just a week and a half prior. Apparently, the reasoning behind this decision was cost-savings. Well, Brite Smiles just lost two customers, plus those enrolled in dentalplans.com. Beware!

I had family visiting me from the West Coast and while they were here, my 10 year old niece had a bracket pop off of her braces. I was frantically calling around to find someone who could at least fix the wire that was digging into her gums, and because she is not a regular patient here, nobody could help for several days. I got a recommendation for Pediatric Dental Healthcare from a friend whose kids are patients there, and thank goodness, when I called them, the staff completely understood the situation and were so nice! They got her right in the same day and Dr G. did a fantastic job of carefully assessing what was going on, fixing the wire enough to make her mouth stable and comfortable for the week, and advising us on what to let her orthodontist know as soon as she got home. He absolutely saved us from having a kid with a a sore mouth for several days! I'm seriously considering moving my own kids over from our pediatric dentist to this practice - it was clean, well organized, everyone we dealt with was so friendly and welcoming, and they got us right in and out all while making my nervous niece feel comfortable. I said that was fine however i had a question (i have bcbs and delta dental and wanted to know if I could specify which would be the primary, etc.), she told me to hold but forgot to actually hit hold where I could hear her and another receptionist badmouthing me about "asking so many questions", "probably doesn't even have insurance", "ugh another new patient paperwork"....she then realizes that she didn't actually put me on hold and says she's going to transfer me to someone else.. The next receptionist picks up and says "can I help you", I tell her I was transferred to her and that i was trying to set up a new appointment. Before I could even start asking a question I'm asked again about having insurance which I reply that I do. She starts taking my information and is increasingly more and more rude as I answer her questions and reply with my own (like why do you need 2 phone numbers and an email address to "remind me of an appointment? - simple question, right?!). This place was highly recommended by several people I know however based off this first impression by their reception staff, I can't believe they are able to stay in business with customer service like this. I've been here for a last minute tooth extraction and a tooth implant (two things that aren't…read morenecessarily fun or relaxing) and the staff has always been so kind and helpful. Dr. Hartman is a very nice and knowledgeable professional who walks through the process in a way that lessens any anxiety that you may have. During today's tooth implant, he made sure to check in repeatedly to ensure all was ok and also made sure that it was pain free throughout the procedure (with the exception of the normal soreness thereafter) as well. What really impressed me was the follow up after. The assistant called me a few hours later to make sure all was ok and even Dr. Hartman himself called me in the evening to make sure pain and bleeding was under control. For what you pay out pocket for these types of optional procedures (tooth implant), it feels good knowing you're getting quality care and that it's money spent with a practice that is attentive and careful in their care. I'd highly recommend them for any oral procedure as I've had great success thus far and pleasant interactions all around with doctor and staff.
