They played Taylor Swift and sent her home with stickers, tattoos, and toys also her teeth for the tooth fairy plus a toothbrush and after care items. I have never experienced such professionalism and care at an oral surgeon's office. I highly recommend!!! Note: The surgery was done late morning and in only hours later my daughter is doing great! You would never think she just had oral surgery today because she is so happy and feeling better already. She has not complained of any pain. When I returned, they took an X-ray to address their mistake and then charged me $200 for it. The tooth still bothers me to this day. More recently, I was told they accepted my new insurance, had work done, and was later charged $500 because they "never accepted" it--despite admitting they knew that beforehand. They told me I was out of luck and that they don't work with my insurance because situations like this happen. During that visit, Dr. Schenkman gave me the news no one wants to get: You have cancer. I don't have words to describe the caring and empathy shown by Dr. Schenkman and the entire staff that day, it was like I was the only patient there. They referred me to an ENT and followed up after to check and see how I was doing. Perhaps a year later I ran in to Dr. Schenkman at the Y where he was picking up his children. He is absolutely amazing at his work. He is perfectionist. It takes a little while to get comfortable with his accent, although the supportive staff always do a fab job in making you comfortable. I got two front teeth implants done with him and it was a perfectly done. Its been 2 years since i got the implants and they are holding up so well. People dont even notice that i have had implants. I also saw him for a follow up because I wanted to make sure I was healing normally. My extraction was probably the quickest easiest and most pain free appointment I have ever had in my life. If I could rate him separately from his office I would have gave 5 stars. I took off one star, because it was upsetting to me on a day that I was already going to lose a tooth, to be made to fill out insurance info with my hands shaking and close to tears just for a woman to tell me after I already filled it out "we don't accept your insurance and we told your dentist office when we made the appointment that we weren't taking your insurance" in a not very kind tone. So after filling that out for nothing I am rifling through my purse to see if I have enough cash because nobody told me they didn't take my insurance when we spoke on the phone to confirm my appointment. I only had 200 with me so I had to put the rest on the credit card. They took my cash and then charged the 200 I paid them to my credit card also. So later when I got home with gauze in my mouth and bleeding I got a call from them and had to give them the card number again so they could credit me back. Also, while I was in the chair and before the extraction Dr Connor's assistant began to apply the numbing gel for the shot to the wrong tooth on the wrong side and that really freaked me out and made me think they planned to extract the wrong tooth but the Dr knew right away and said so, it was not his mistake at all only hers.
