My son came out of his appointment for the final portion and said I don't think the guy knew what he was doing at all. Prior to the last procedure both my wife and myself spoke with the office to ensure that we would not need any adjustment to his retainer after the procedure, while we waited for the next steps. Both people we spoke with assured us he would be fine. We were NOT fine. His retainer DID NOT fit and we were basically told "too bad". My son is a teenager and they essentially told us he was fine to be missing two front teeth for over a month. He spent his entire school vacation in his room until we were able to contact his orthodontist to fix his retainer. If they had told us the truth from the onset we would have had the retainer fixed that same day. After all that, we decided NOT to use the office they recommended for his teeth, and we were shocked (well not really) that the East Bay put in healing caps that were too small AND one of the implants was crooked! Thankfully the office we used took care of both issues. But when they called East Bay they were also shocked at how rude the lady on the phone was. Stay AWAY from this place!!! Not recommended at all.

I took my Godson there today for the first time…read more He is a disabled man who had full dentures that were not fitting properly and overtime became so loose that they fell out when he ate. No dentist or oral surgeon was able to help. In addition to being kind, caring and compassionate, Dr Van Dongen, who is a highly specialized prosthodontist gave us a lot of time and painstakingly took the dentures and was able to adjust and whatever had to be done to make them fit. They were thorough and took x-rays ahead of time, clearly explained the images to us, and educated us about how his roots were not very long, but that if we waited, they could potentially grow longer, and the teeth would be harder to extract. On the day of the procedure, they gave my son anesthesia before numbing his gums with Novacaine which made the procedure nearly painless. They completed the procedure in about a half hour at the most. They kept my son sitting upright in a chair in the recovery room for another half hour before the anesthesia finally wore off and he was able to walk out of there. They made sure that they supplied us with gauze pads, a syringe, clear discharge instructions, etc. Pro tip: check your insurance plan to see how much you have left of your deductible before scheduling your appointment. My son had a few fillings earlier in the year which used up a good portion of his deductible. If you schedule your dental procedures in different calendar years, you will pay less.

But if you pay for dental insurance, there's no excuse. So, I make an effort to visit the dentist regularly to avoid future complications. As I mentioned, I hate taking time to go to the dentist. But, every time I've visited, it's been quick in-and-out. Their hours are convenient (yay for later appointments to fit my teacher schedule!) Dr. Renaud is incredibly professional yet kind. All staff, from receptionists to dental hygienists, have been helpful, efficient, and super friendly. Their office is clean and cozy.
