Her office, though, is very, very challenging to work with. That said (and maybe sadly), it started getting a little easier to work with them once the $300 office fee started getting charged and patients started leaving. Still, they were very challenging and often lacked compassion for other women I saw who were struggling with very serious issues. But in any event, almost all OB back offices suck, so you might as well go with Dr. Barnes. She is the absolute best.

After we finished the paperwork we were told she will not see us and we need to reschedule. The receptionist kept telling us that we should have come at 3:45 to fill out paperwork and neither the receptionist and the doctor were flexible or understanding at all. We said that we will be gone for vacation for three weeks and asked if she can see us despite our late arrival due to reason beyond our control but they were adamant and cold toward us. Finally we gave up and asked them to provide us a doctor note for the hr office but they said since we missed the appt they wouldn't give us a formal doctor note! We had to be insistent and finally got some sort of form. Overall we're really disappointed with this medical group and particularly this doctor for being so distant, mean, and rude (by kept telling us we should have come in at 3:45 even though appt is at 4!). If this is the kind of attitude and treatment this doctor and medical group give to new patient then we will make sure that we will never pick anyone from this group and this doctor! This is not what a personalized attention and care any doctor or receptionist should provide and we were very shocked at the attitude and coldness that we were treated.

She listens to your concerns, is extremely knowledgeable and has amazing bedside manner. Let's face it, no one jumps for joy over the idea of getting a pap - and some of us have had downright traumatic experiences in the past - but with Dr. Chang you can rest assured that it will be a breeze! It was over before I even knew it and it didn't even feel the least bit uncomfortable. She will also perform an ultrasound to ensure that your ovaries and uterus are structurally sound and there's no underlying issues which is a nice touch, especially since you don't need to schedule another visit solely for this as it's done in office by Dr.Chang herself! I'm so glad to have found her - a good OBGYN that makes you feel safe and comfortable is so hard to find these days but Dr. Chang is proof that they still exist!

On the first day I was in hospital for scheduled induction, she had 24-hour duty, went home to sleep and didnt return till i was into 37 hours on Pitocin. She poked my water without my permission, and caused me infection and my baby heart rate dropped into dangerous situations where I could only accept C section. She scolded me not to cry before entering the operation room, not worthy of crying?! while my life and my baby's life were in her hands. Only for a couple hundred dollars more, she wants a surgery instead of natural birth. For an insurance covered procedure, she lied to me its cosmetic, I paid her cash and extra. Later, both Blue Shield and Optum confirmed she never billed. After I asked my money back, she claimed through insurance. Don't even think twice, go find another doctor.

I had a consultation the first visit. The second visit, I had an Endometrial Biopsy procedure performed, and it was one of the most traumatizing experiences I have ever had. I do have a high tolerance for pain. But, during this procedure, I cried so hard and kept saying "ouch". I heard Dr. Guzman tell the two young ladies that were shadowing him "It doesn't hurt that bad". He totally dismissed the pain I was going through as if he's had this procedure done himself and knows what it feels like. My mistake was hugging his a** right after because of the trauma. I did go back a third time to hear my results. But I AM NEVER GOING BACK!! Side note, you will be waiting for a couple of hours to be seen because I believe he overbooks himself. Quantity, Not Quality. Another side note, don't be fooled by the name. No female doctors work there. Just the assistants are female.
