While they have all the classics, they have a lot of themed end caps and stations throughout the store. If chocolate is not your thing, then head to the multiple "candy by the pound" stations in the middle of the store and load up on all things candy from sour to sweet, nugget to rope and even suckers. They do have one chocolate station, which I have been known to utilize in filling up a bag. Service was fairly limited, even though there were multiple people on the floor, none were engaged with customers. When I was ready to check out, one associate from the floor met me at the register. She was monotone and fairly low energy for a candy shop associate. Service definitely did not fit the vibe of the brand. Overall, cool spot with loads of sweets. While you will not find me at Opry Mills too often, when you do, there is a high chance that I have an IT'SUGAR bag in hand.

Seriously, you won't find better customer service than what's offered here-- w/ genuine smiles. (I later communicated w/ Manager Joyce via text-- another lovely individual.) Figuratively speaking, I am a huge fan of the Rocky Mountain company. It offers three of the BEST products anywhere: rich & creamy old fashioned chocolate fudge @ $5.45 per .5 lb; many varieties of caramel apples (which they'll slice upon request); & its amazing Milk Chocolate Salted Caramels @ $24.90 per pound. (All chocolates share that price w/ the exception of the Truffles, which are $2.50 each.) I bought three pounds of the caramels to take back to Florida to freeze. They are phenomenal, especially eaten straight from the freezer. I bought no apples on this trip, but I noticed that this franchise offers more apple varities than any RMCF shoppe I've frequented. I got a call that my bonus mom had become very sick, and I rushed home to help care for my family. One day I stopped in to grab lunch and, of course, one of your amazing cakes to take back to the house. I was holding it together...until I wasn't. When the sweet lady behind the bakery counter asked which cake I wanted, all of the fear, exhaustion, uncertainty, and heartbreak I'd been carrying came pouring out. I couldn't stop crying. Without hesitation, she set the cake down, walked around the counter, and wrapped me in the biggest, most genuine hug. Not the kind of hug you give because you feel obligated--but the kind that says, "You're not alone." Then she prayed with me. A complete stranger saw my pain, held me tight, and promised she would continue praying for my family. As I sit in the hospital weeks later, I still think about that moment. I remember her kindness, her compassion, her gentle spirit, and the love she showed someone she had never met before. That hug meant more than she'll probably ever know. Chef's Market isn't just a restaurant with incredible food and the best cakes around. It's a place that feels like home.
