I went to Stewart Williams to look for a lift chair, this was a Tuesday afternoon about 3:00 PM. There were several on display and the prices had been reduced. I found the chair I wanted and had it paid for within 15 minutes of entering the store. I explained about my husband's surgery and the need for this to be delivered to my house, which was close to the store, as soon as possible. Joe said he would call me by 4:00 PM to let me know when it could be delivered. At 3:45 PM the delivery guys, great folks by the way, were at my door with the new lift chair. She then went off yelling at the customer and telling him look where you're shopping as an excuse for her attitude to the senior citizen, also with other very unprofessional comments. The gentleman never raised his voice or said anything to feed he anger and looked very surprised by the events unfolding with this employee. Than the employee refused to give me his name or show me his name badge so I could report him and he repeatedly told me I better get back in a threatening manner. I than advised him that he was wrong for not taking the pour cleaner and that it had got all over my hand. I had placed the pour cleaner on the counter and he was still acting in a manner that was threatening and I requested the manager and warned him that I know martial arts and that I had my toddler son with me and for him not repeatedly threaten me that he would do something to me for simply trying to hand him a bottle of stuff that was literally pouring on me and leaking. He than said something else to me and I told him to call the manager. The management and supervision spoke with me. They than told me that they would speak with the employee that his actions were u acceptable and that they would handle the situation. And me and my son left. I went shopping today and was stopped by police and escorted through the store by the police and held in the front entrance/exit by produce on camera and embarrassed bad with three police officers standing around me at one point and me being forced to sign paperwork that barred me from the Springfield walmart location indefinitely. I feel this location condones their employees to threaten and intimidate customers and than bar the customer for their violations of store policy where their employee made threats overtly to a customer and than condoned it. I have reached out to their upper management in hopes of a resolution to mend my relationship with the store location and am in hopes that something progressive will be accomplished. I will update this review as this progresses.

The store shows temporarily closed. That's it, and no one picks up the phone. I spoke to another store and understand there was water damage but we have not got any call or any additional information from the store. All they have to do is email all clients who ordered furniture or at least update the voicemail of the store. No timeline on when they will reopen and when we can get our items. Corporate said we could not return these items because they are on hold.....absolute joke and terrible lack of communication. The store manager should still be picking up phone calls to the store...I hope someone will get in touch with me with an eta.

BEC Innovations had my previous review removed from Yelp, so I am amending to reflect the…read moreguidelines. I would not recommend hiring BEC if you care about your neighbors. This company is a menace to the neighborhoods they work in. In 2024, BEC purchased and flipped the house next door to mine, and thus began one of the worst months-long experiences I've had in the home I've lived in for over a decade. The crews they contracted to work on their property were rude and inconsiderate, leaving their beer cans in my yard on more than one occasion, blocking our small residential street on both sides (making it difficult for me to leave my own driveway), and consistently working outside of the hours permitted by the local noise ordinance (causing a disturbance to me personally, who again lives right next door to this house). After one particularly frustrating incident where they parked their truck in their front yard and shined its high beams directly into MY living room window for over an hour, I called the BEC office and spoke with someone on the phone about these issues. They were apologetic and relayed the info to the site's project manager, who came out to speak to me directly. She even bought us pizza as a peace offering, which I appreciated and accepted in the hopes this would be the last of our problems. But then a week later, I came home from work in the middle of the day and found BEC's crew had run an extension cord from MY home's outside outlet to their power tools without my permission. I immediately called the PM, who did apologize again, but it was never resolved and nothing else happened as they wrapped construction the same week. I went back to compare my electricity bills over the last several years and found that my energy usage spiked for months with no other explanation, which means the utility theft was likely more than a one-off by a rogue crew member. Whether BEC directly knew or not, they should have better control of the crews they hire. Yelp's email alerting me that my review had been taken down stated "We typically remove reviews that don't focus on the reviewer's firsthand experiences as a customer of the business." So let me be very clear - this business stole from me personally, using my utilities without permission, and left their trash on my property. I am relaying my firsthand experience with their poor management and unethical business practices. If BEC continues to try taking down my honest review, I will only become more steadfast in my commitment in warning people against using this company.

She was prompt to keep our appointment and seemed thorough in her review of our items. Yes, her appraisals were eye-opening but sobering in that one item in particular was appraised much lower than we had hoped. In turn, other items which we didn't really see as valuable turned out to be worth more than anticipated. That's what we wanted . . . an honest assessment. She also provided contacts in the area that we could contact to possibly buy the items we wished to sell. I would recommend her to anyone, but I would also advise looking at her areas of expertise to see if they match your need.
