I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I received today. I was given a birthday gift that I did not need, but unfortunately there was no receipt or gift receipt included. I went to customer service to see if I could exchange it or receive a refund on a gift card. The two employees at customer service refused to help me. I was told the item was "too expensive" to refund to a gift card. I was honestly shocked by that response. I shop at this store every single day, and I have always considered myself a loyal customer. To be treated this way over a gift return was extremely frustrating and disappointing. If there was a policy that prevented the return, I would have understood being told that respectfully, but the way the situation was handled was unacceptable. I even called the store afterward to speak with someone about the situation, but unfortunately there was no manager available. I hope management will address this situation and provide better customer service going forward. Loyal customers deserve to be treated with respect. read more

Emplpyees more concerned about the TCG card restock more than helping customers. I asked the manager a question and he didn't look at me when he gave me an answer with attitude. Manager and another employee was monitoring the card isle with Pokémon, One Piece etc..Also notice employee informed his while working on his cellphone on TCG card restock. Let me start by stating I know better than to request delivery from the Springfield Walmart, but because of my situation I went against my better judgment and did it anyway. Today's experience was over the top. The driver who delivered my order could not read nor speak English he wanted a code to put in his phone that Walmart sends - I had not been texted a code I tried to explain that the last time I signed the phone of course, he did not understand. He had left my order on my BACK PORCH and started putting the items back in his car I called Walmart entered #4 and explained to a man the situation and told him I needed my order I was told drivers were third party and not Walmart's responsibility I tried to explain I was not complaining about the driver I needed a text with a code he hung up on me. I then called HR and was told I needed to call the Walmart 800 number. The young driver was on his phone the entire time trying to figure out what to do he finally stated. "Walmart big problem". I had to laugh! The attitude from the employees comes from the top they have a Boss but not a Leader. The Springfield Walmart could use some real management. read more

Just witnessed 5/24/25 at 644am an employee with a name of Katie, who had bright red hair. Screaming at a customer, who asked why she was rude to another customer in a nice manner. She then went off yelling at the customer and telling him look where you're shopping as an excuse for her attitude to the senior citizen, also with other very unprofessional comments. The gentleman never raised his voice or said anything to feed he anger and looked very surprised by the events unfolding with this employee. Even the self check out employee was blown away with how Katie was acting. She should not have a job after disrespecting multiple customers and her place of business with referencing it as a place she can yell at people because we as customers chose to shop there. Horrible for the fact a employee took the time to interrupt stop the whole process of ringing up groceries and what I had going than start arguing with with me for no reason and threatened me that I better step back while refusing to assist me with the pour cleaner solution that I asked him to take while I was ringing up groceries. Than the employee refused to give me his name or show me his name badge so I could report him and he repeatedly told me I better get back in a threatening manner. I than advised him that he was wrong for not taking the pour cleaner and that it had got all over my hand. I had placed the pour cleaner on the counter and he was still acting in a manner that was threatening and I requested the manager and warned him that I know martial arts and that I had my toddler son with me and for him not repeatedly threaten me that he would do something to me for simply trying to hand him a bottle of stuff that was literally pouring on me and leaking. He than said something else to me and I told him to call the manager. The management and supervision spoke with me. They than told me that they would speak with the employee that his actions were u acceptable and that they would handle the situation. And me and my son left. I went shopping today and was stopped by police and escorted through the store by the police and held in the front entrance/exit by produce on camera and embarrassed bad with three police officers standing around me at one point and me being forced to sign paperwork that barred me from the Springfield walmart location indefinitely. I feel this location condones their employees to threaten and intimidate customers and than bar the customer for their violations of store policy where their employee made threats overtly to a customer and than condoned it. I have reached out to their upper management in hopes of a resolution to mend my relationship with the store location and am in hopes that something progressive will be accomplished. Because of my age and health issues I have had to use home delivery from the store. At first I tried the Walmart+ thing and my my first year subscription paying my first year up front . That worked fine for a few times , then one morning I get a notice to pay for another subscription, and like a fool I did . To make along story short I was finally forced to cancel my subscription and remove my method of payment from my Walmart account . Like a fool I gave Walmart another chance a couple weeks back with a home delivery order from the grocery department. Again there was this charge of $9.92 separate from my grocery bill including deliver fee and driver tip . After reaching out to customer service about the unauthorized $9.92 charge a customer service rep cancelled the pending charge on my debit card but worsens my situation by recharged my debit card $192.22 again for my original order . I have been trying for the past ten days to get the over charge returned to my account. It has been nothing but a nightmare . I have since removed my method of payment from my Walmart profile to prevent further unauthorized charges and currently still in the process of being recharged by the system Walmart has . This. Walmart. Is. A. Joke. If you need anything done aside from checking out, it will take forever to get a CSM, which is a "manager". When they do decide to show up they're clueless to the procedures of the company they work for and manage people. When employees are openly speaking to customers about the level of dissatisfaction with their management team, it's time for a change. Completely understaffed and no one cares about the most important thing...THE CUSTOMER!! Don't forget they're the ones that pay your employees. read more

This Walmart is TERRIBLE. Not only do they ring up items more than once while checking out, usually they don't bag a few things you buy either and don't realize until you get home. The cashiers are sloppy with their work and don't pay attention at all. It take forever to get a manager and the workers never want to help you find things. Highly recommend you don't go to this Walmart. read more

The Optical center at the Springfield location is a total ripoff and a con IMO. as soon as the clerk found out I had $450 on insurance to spend he went to work with his little calculator for 20 min while I sat there, giving me no options or telling me what the hell he was doing. Then when the bill was wY beyond that he was cryptic about the charges then finally admitted he used items from FIVE years ago to come up with a price for my glasses! Then had the nerve to try and sell me sunglasses for $250. A total hustle and when I confronted him he didn't even en defend himself. Go somewhere else. I am as I felt totally ripped off on behalf of my insurance company. read more

This is a great Wal Mart! Helpful staff, always stocked with what you need/want. If you want something special they will try to order it for you. Great fresh produce, clean store and nice folks. What more can you ask for? read more

Worst Wal-Mart in the chain, there prices are higher than other Wal-Marts. They carry nothing that the Wal-Mart 5 miles down the road carries, you mention it to a manager they laugh it off like it's a joke. The shelves are typically in stocked. With the exception of a few cashiers the staff is unfriendly. I'd rather drive the extra fee miles. read more

I shopped at Walmart for years. Went there for everything. Not any more. I have autism and the people like Direct TV who come in to Walmart to try getting people to sign up stalk me and try to sign me up. I have complained and the Walmart management would say they understand, but nothing ever gets done about it. I want to shop, not be harassed. That is one reason I quit shopping there. Also, the parking lot is not well lighted thus I don't feel safe, kids throw toys and nobody stops them. The management could care less about the customer. The shelves are NEVER stocked well, checkout is a joke. Not long ago it took 20 minutes to get checked out and only 2 people were in front of me! read more
