Working with Tara and this business for property management of my house in Corvallis has been absolutely abysmal. She is unbelievably unresponsive. The simplest request about my property, receiving statements and any paperwork can be unanswered. Documentation is incomplete and questionable if at all present. I hope she was communicative enough with the tenants, but I felt so neglected that I could no longer stand working with her and didn't want to risk my tenants (whoever they are) the same fate. I feel Tara is unprofessional with disgraceful business ethics. I would highly recommend anyone to stay away from working with her. Having her business still be present is shameful. read more

Vampire Rental Company! I rented through this business and let me tell you how unprofessional she is. She acts concerned and attempts to help people only intern she's helping herself to your money and only cares about herself. If you rent from WVR you have been warned. She needs your money for her own agenda and lacks communication skills to help her tenants. And, good luck going to her office. Her office location is a rental storage unit with no one there. She doesn't even have a location to speak to her. CALLING doesn't help either. She blows you off, but the acts like she cares. Tara in very nice and friendly but unfortunately that is not enough. She is unresponsive at best. Paperwork and statements are missing. Funds are slow or missing and documentation is incomplete so you can not track or find it. There was a fencing issue that was going to be looked into and never was. At this point, I would be ecstatic just to have communication and documentation. This is not a business relationship I can recommend at all. I lived at Whispering Pines in Corvallis. As other reviews mentioned, Tara is kind but difficult to get ahold of (I had to text at least 3-4 times to get a response). It's very frustrating, especially when trying to get a copy of lease agreements, invoices, etc. Personally, I would not recommend living there, especially if you are an OSU student. The units get very hot in the summer and the ones facing the road are loud (the walls are thin). Perhaps most important, the maintenance man at Whispering Pines made me extremely uncomfortable -- without my consent, he took pictures of me and my service animal, and when I confronted him he was quite rude. He violated my privacy and refused to provide an explanation as to why he was taking pictures of me. To say it was unprofessional is an understatement. As a college student living on her own for the first time, it made me feel unsafe in my own home. I'd been told by other tenants they had similar experiences with this man, and one even mentioned he took pictures of her through her bedroom window. I was so hopeful moving into a Willamette Valley Rental unit as I'd heard great things and saw lots of positive reviews. However, I am so glad I no longer live there and urge anyone looking to move into Whispering Pines to reconsider. read more

The licensed property manager, Tara Drongesen, had her licensed revoked by the state of Oregon in March 2025. The Oregon Real Estate Agency (governing and licensing board in Oregon for PMs) has the details of commingling funds and complaints from many owners. If you google her name it will be one of the first results. She put in a figurehead family member to be the new licensed property manager, but is still managing everything behind the scenes. Review your records if you run a property managed by her. If you rent a property from her, don't expect your deposit back. read more

I have had the displeasure of working with Willamette Valley Rentals for 2 years. Tara is unresponsive, a liar, unprofessional and asleep at the wheel. She holds on to deposits and doesn't post statements when she says she will. Repair request go unanswered and unpaid resulting in properties being damaged. I applied for an apartment and had a few questions regarding the lease but she avoided them. She also refused to answer if I had gotten the apartment or not as well as if I was the only applicant. We've been living in one of Tara's Corvallis properties for almost two years, and it has been an all-around ideal experience. Tara is quick, clear, and understanding in her responses, and she is extremely attentive to any complaints or issues (which are minor in this building). The WVPM properties are very reasonably priced, and our apartment was very clean upon move-in. The kitchen appliances are nice and have worked perfectly throughout our time here, and the bathroom is entirely new - Tara let us know that they remodel the bathrooms between tenants. My foster son and I are so grateful to live in one of the properties that Tara manages. I had to move after 23 years in one location when the landlord retired and sold the property. I looked far and wide for a safe home for myself and my senior pets. Even with a great rental record of 23 years, it's very hard to find a place for geriatric, large dogs. The first property didn't have a fence, but Tara did not give up! She found our current home where we have wonderful neighbors (dogs included) and the safest environment I could have hoped for. She also had no problem when I was given emergency placement of a foster child and welcomed him with open arms. My senior dogs are safe and happy in a home where no one minds an occasional bark here and there. My senior kitties are also so happy to have a wonderful home with lots of windows to watch the country birds flying by. My foster son has a beautiful yard and a room of his own in which to grow up. He can't wait until it snows! He's from the city and this country place is what he needed. We are close to the most amazing country school where he is thriving. Our neighbors are beyond kind and helpful. It's a beautiful little community in the woods. Tara touches base often and makes sure that everything is working well and that we are happy. When we had a heating issue, she made sure that the repairmen came immediately and that everything was taken care of in a jiffy. But the house and property is in such great shape that this was a one and only need. I've never had such an amazing rental experience. I hope that if you are looking for a home that you will contact Tara and see for yourself how she can change your life for the better. Because of her my little family has the best life we could imagine. You won't regret your choice in property management. Tara is truly an angel in disguise! read more

I hired Tara to manage properties. She sounded great and came with a recommendation. After months of lack of communication, frustration of the same stories and excuses we finally had to take our business elsewhere. I tried to keep the expectations of communication at the forefront. I asked to give notice to a tenant due to safety concerns of the home. It was 5 months later FINALLY they were given 3 months to vacate. Absolutely ridiculous! When asked, "the lawyer should be in contact this week" not to mention I had to ask for statements over and over. Cost of managing properties that need work can be expensive, I needed to budget for expenses, Tara would not send me statements. Tara would tell me her assistant was working on it. Tara would not respond to emails, text or calls. If you don't answer the person who pays you, do you do the same for the tenants if they have issues? The answer is yes! I talked to the tenants, yes she didn't communicate with them either. The last straw was the eviction notice given so late, now we are headed to court. Never did get any thing from Tara, proving we had to go to court or what the verdict was. When the tenants finally did move out. I asked for the yard to be kept up and utilities transferred. That didn't happen either. Absolutely shouldn't be in this business if you don't communicate. read more

I live in WA and managed one rental in Oregon, which had been my Father's home. After 8 years of renting, the occupant disappeared leaving all of his belongs in the house, including pets that urinated throughout the home. It is a sad story. Still, I was left with a mess, two pets, no occupancy, no rental income, a house full of his property, and a destroyed interior. The family of the MIA renter was unwilling to be involved. Tara become my "boots on the ground." She helped me proceed legally, arranged to have locks changed, and posted notice on the home's door. She was my super hero. In all of this, I never even had the pleasure to meet her. I am still stunned by her professional ability, kindness, hand holding, time spent, and listening ear. I truly don't know what I would have done without her help. She went above and beyond what is considered above and beyond.
