25 years ago I had my vision corrected with Lasik surgery. Yesterday I had a touch up. My vision is back to 20/15 and if it lasts another 25 years I'll be ecstatic - and old. I can't say enough about how wonderful every single staff person was during my LASIK procedure - the receptionist, the technicians, the doctor - all were exceptional. They look you in the eye and shake your hand. They explain the whole procedure in an accessible but comprehensive way. They give you a teddy bear to hold during the procedure and they talk to you and make you feel safe and reassured the whole time. I had lasik by Dr Will in 2012, and it was the worst decision of my life. I now have what is called Post LASIK Ectasia. Basically my corneas were weakened from lasik and as a result the cornea has been thinning, causing me a severe astigmatism. If progression is not stopped, this will result in a cornea transplant. I have had to have a procedure called Cross Linking to save my vision in both eyes. This surgery costs thousands of dollars. When I went back about a year after surgery and my vision had changed, Dr Will mentioned cross linking as an eventual option (it was not FDA approved at the time) but he did NOT explain the severity of the situation, (or the cost) until my vision had deteriorated so much I had no choice but to see a specialist. Dr Will was NOT honest with me about the severity of what was happening- he knew my vision should not be changing and what was wrong, but never once used the term 'post lasik ectasia'. If I could go back in time I would absolutely NOT have lasik, and cannot recommend Dr Will. Please do your homework. There is a Facebook group for people who have had lasik go wrong with over 7000 members. I am only sharing this to help prevent others from going through what I have been through- unless contacts or glasses are ruining your life, lasik is not worth the risk. read more

I was skeptical about getting eye surgery because I heard that there could be some complications that you can't take back, but my aunt had her LASIK done here at Will Vision and she highly recommended it. She has not had any problems for 8 years! I gave it a try and I was very pleased with my surgery. Dr. Will knows best. If you are unsure about the procedure I would say not to worry. I am writing this about 50 days after surgery, and as far as results go, I couldn't be happier. I went from 20/200 to better than 20/15 in both eyes, with quick recovery (I went to work the evening of the procedure) and only some minor dry-eye and minor light halos as side effects. This procedure was well worth the investment. The educational process before surgery may be a little dull to some people, but I came to realize how truly important the 2-3 hour screening and introduction appointment was. I honestly had no idea how LASIK+ worked before I walked into Dr. Will's office, but after my initial appointment, I was something of a "1-minute expert" which is definitely a positive, considering the importance of the procedure. The entire staff were kind, courteous, and compassionate throughout my entire experience, beginning with my screening, and continuing on to the day of surgery and follow up appointments. During the procedure, it appeared that one nurse's job was to simply talk me through what was happening in a calm, soothing voice, explaining exactly what was happening, and reminding me to breathe. Dr. Will himself has a very professional and courteous bearing and appearance, and I never felt as if he were talking down to me in any way (as some doctors do). All in all, I cannot say enough positive about this clinic/surgery center. I would and already have recommended it to friends and family. read more
