I recently moved to the area and saw Will's Place while I was out on a walk. Will's Place has easy street parking in front of the store front as well as close public parking lots near. The store has a beautiful big window up front and is so bright and clean when you walk in. To the left, there is a retail wall with purchase options, there are many tables in the dining area as well as a counter top on the right wall for additional seating. The counter to order has a small pastry case with a great display of options. There is a window that allows you to see into the kitchen from the dining area as well. I was greeted upon walking in, and there was a menu board on the wall with what I'm guessing are specials (daily or short term, I'm not sure) as well as laminated menus at the counter where you order. The menu has breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches, salads, and great side options. It was explained that as much as possible is made in house (you can even buy house made pickles or pickled onions! to take home!) and there were several options that sounded delicious. I ended up going with a crispy chicken ranch wrap that was offered on the hanging menu board of specials. I got this to go and treated myself to a sprinkle cookie with it. While I was waiting for my food, Brad chatted with me about his love for hockey and he was so kind! My wrap was packed up super nice in a to go box and in a bag so I could easily walk back home to enjoy it. Still warm as I unwrapped it at my house, this wrap was delicious. It has fresh lettuce and tomato, crispy chicken, melty cheese, and ranch sauce (plus ranch on the side!) and a house made pickle spear. This was a perfect lunch and because everything was made fresh, it was actually really light and delicious. The cookie was unshockingly also tasty, I loved the rainbow sprinkles and it was such a fun treat after my meal. I can't wait to be a regular at Will's Place, this is a great little breakfast/brunch/lunch spot in downtown Skokie that is a really bright spot in the community. Thank you, Will's Place! Favorite place to go in Skokie !! Whenever I am meeting a friend for lunch and they are not from around. I always bring them to Will's place. Obviously it has great employees- and the food is fantastic- but the chocolate chip cookies ..... are all you need in life. We also catered desserts for my sons Bar Mitzvah and even with my extensive candy buffet all people could talk about what where did those cookies come from :) read more

Some friends and I have been making the rounds for lunch in the area. We hadn't been to Will's Place, est. 2022, a nonprofit cafe that is dedicated to employment and vocational opportunities for adults with disabilities. This is a cozy little spot on Lincoln in downtown Skokie. The staff is quite friendly and happy to help. I ordered a Reuben sandwich, which was grilled and delicious - my only note is to add more sauerkraut. My friends ordered soup and sandwiches -- Southwest Turkey Melt and another Reuben. The food was great! The ambience and good vibes was even greater! And the brownies and other baked goods to die for. Support this worthy business and have a great meal in the process. I've heard that the breakfast sandwiches are quite popular and the burger looked really good -- maybe next visit? read more

Currently, they're in their soft opening stage - the grand opening is scheduled for the weekend! When we came in, we were provided a small menu - it offered: +Strawbery Lemonade +Turkey & Dill Havarti +Summer Roast Beef +Tomato Pesto Panini +Hot Dogs with Chips +a 'special sandwich' (apricot prosciutto panini with arugula and stracciatella cheese on a grilled sourdough bread when we were there) +Pasta Salad +and, Potato Salad We came here for an early lunch, and we tried: +the Summer Roast Beef - came with tomatoes, arugula, cheddar, and horseradish pickles on a seeded roll; stacked high, this was fresh, and I liked the addition of the pickles; I may request mayo and some extra pickles next time! +the Tomato Pesto Panini - prepared with provolone and basil on a toasted sourdough; my counterpart enjoyed hers and ate it all up +potato salad +pasta salad +strawberry lemonade - super refreshing +iced backed coffee The pasta and the potato salad were already pre-packaged in the fridge and dated, so you can just grab what you've already paid for. These were more vinegar-forward, but the potatoes and the pasta were cooked and dressed well. I liked the addition of the halved cherry tomatoes in the pasta salad! Prices are more on the steep end - the sandwiches are served with a pickle, but I wished it came with a side of chips or something. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly! So I've lived in Skokie for over 30 years and Will's Place continues to be a great addition to our downtown. My husband and I ordered the burger and fried chicken Caesar sandwich and both were great. This place deserves all the love. I visited one weekend after hearing about it from my brother. We initially came on a Friday but it was a little too early for lunch so I ended up getting some pastries. I saw they made them on their Instagram so I was excited to try, and they were delicious! I came back on Saturday for lunch and we got Will himself taking our order and bringing us food. I felt like I was meeting a celebrity haha. They have a half&half lunch special. My sandwich and soup were good. I also tried the mac & cheese and loved it. Seeing others in the community chat with the owner and having such an overall calming atmosphere was so nice. I've been to Will's Place twice now and had a small sampling of some of their items which have all been delicious! Service is great, the space is really cute, clean, and there are lots of other goodies available. We've enjoyed strawberry lemonade, chocolate chip cookies, blueberry scones, the cinnamon roll (which is to die for!), and ice coffee! I went in for breakfast at 10am and enjoyed an almond croissant and iced coffee. It was very good. My family members had a blueberry muffin and a sour dough breakfast sandwich, both were also very tasty. It's a cute place place and not crowded, so we were able to chat and listen to the background music. I'm too far to visit during the week, but I'll be going back on a future Saturday. We brought home cinnamon rolls to my kids, and now they want to go the next time I'm going. It was worth the 30min drive. read more

I kept hearing about this place and was finally able to check it out! So glad I did! The environment is super cute and gives you a cozy feeling! They also have outdoor seating which is always a plus for be especially at a coffee shop/cafe. There are few things more relaxing than enjoying me time outside a beautiful day while enjoying a coffee! The staff is amazing and my iced coffee and chocolate chip cookie I got were both delicious! So, I support any business that gives people with disabilities the chance to work and make money. I went here today to buy a Christmas gift with my daughter who uses a wheelchair. I was flabbergasted to realize it is not ada compliant!! Finally got her in with the help of two people only for her to just sit there. She couldn't move around because it is very small. It was difficult for me just getting around tables to get to the register. Of course I bought the gift items because again, I want to support these young people but unfortunately, I won't be returning:( read more

I enjoyed a wonderful sandwich with artisan bread and ingredients piled so high I had a hard time getting my mouth wrapped around it. It was gourmet level. The pastries looked home made.
