However, the cheap pricing and friendly customer service easily makes up for this. I received a 5x8 unit for just about ~$60/mo which is considerably less than any other competitor (U-Haul, Apple Self Storage, etc). In addition, competitors didn't have the small size I needed - I didn't want to waste money on storage I don't need. Space at Hand was able to provide me with the smaller unit I needed. In addition, they have a promotion that saves you 50% for the first 3 months if you pay storage costs for the first 3 months up front. What a steal! a storage unit for $90 for 3 months when U-Haul easily charges over $100/mo. I'd definitely rent with this company again.

We rent the truck at 1:30 p.m. and the manager Sherry Grundstrom handled us, she asked us to return…read morethe truck no later than 6:30 p.m. as the contract stated, and after we paid, the fuel tank capacity showed on the pin-pad, she said: "don't worry about it, it's broken" and lead us outside to the truck. The fuel indicator was at the line of 7/8, and as our usual experience we confirmed that we will return the truck with gas at the same level. We understood that this is a busy season, we wrapped up early and returned the truck at 4:50 p.m.. We refilled the gas to the level between 7/8 and Full. As Sherry inspected the truck, she said that we didn't refill the gas tank to full and that she will charge us $1.58 at each liter. We told her that we didn't take a full tank when we left but she said "I knew but you have to return a full tank of gas, and the truck is messy too." I regret not taking any pictures before we left and after we returned, because I didn't expect such dishonesty. And how could an empty truck be messy? We absolutely didn't drink or eat within the truck and all of our stuff was neatly packaged. Apparently Sherry Grundstorm is famous for her grumpy service on Google. She charged us $8.98 extra, it is not the money that we care about, I want to make sure that no one suffers from her bad attitude again and I hope this is not the way U-Haul makes money in the future.
