Within a couple hours, I had them up to work on my well pump. They had to come twice because the well pumps they had brought (and the one that I had installed before) were too large for my setup, but I appreciate that they didn't sell me on the more expensive one. In the end, they got it done as quickly as humanly possible and got water back into my home. The only gripe I have is that they had to come back a third time and spent a lot of time (= money) trying to find a leak, which I ended up figuring out (it was an irrigation system that had fell over in the storm). It would have been nice to have the leak tested for and diagnosed the first time they came over, but really, it's my fault for not figuring it out myself. Overall five stars for service, attitude and promptness.

Mind you, this was at like 6pm on a Saturday, and he still picked up first call! I was able to pick the part up quickly, and for a extremely good price. Unprofessional. The…read morefirst time I called, Annette put me on hold and then hung up on me and never called me back. I called back and expressed that I wanted to get a water filter system installed and I wanted a water test that will cover everything that it will need for me to install a water filter test. I also expressed that I was not sure that test will cover that but I needed the one that includes everything such as iron and bacteria. Annette charged for a bacteria only service for $210. As a professional, Annette should have informed me that since I was unsure of what was all required for the test, that they will not be able to provide me a service until o can be sure of exactly what test I needed. Instead she decided move forward with a bacteria only test. Also, I had to follow up with the company for my test result. They did not send it to me. I also emailed them back about this disconnect between my request and the service I received and there was no response. I called them back and spoke to Annette. And her response was I should have asked another company to do the service and she can offer me another test for an additional cost. She did not acknowledge that fact that she should have detoured me from their services because neither her or I knew the service I needed. Instead she made the assumption that I needed bacteria only.

All that said, Steve was friendly, seemed honest enough and his pricing was moderately more competitive. We were not interested in a system that requires salt. This company provides a solution that's straight forward, low / no maintenance (it flushes itself) and will last a good amount of time hopefully. We moved forward with Steve. His son Dalton did the installation a week later. All went well with the installation. So far we have not used the system a great deal but we are encouraged by what we have noticed so far. Based on the up front experiences and process so far we would recommend this company to others for consideration. All said

Five stars to Top Hat Well Drilling! If any of you have been…read morewithout water for even one day or even longer, you know that water is life! Without it, everything is miserable. You have to catch rainwater or find some just to flush your toilet. Until you're without it you really don't truly appreciate it! When I called Ben & Dennis at Top Hat Well Drilling my pump would not work on its own and I had to keep trying to figure it out myself, right away they said they would come test everything. I thought for sure it was a certain pressure gauge and switch, and I asked them to change all that out ....well, they worked very hard that day and changed everything. I still had an issue so they came right back the next day. I thought I'd have to go the entire weekend without water, but they tested it and found out the control box had issues and Ben had the parts they needed. Ben did a superb job spending a lot of time and explaining things. I also had him test the water to make sure there was no bacteria or worse for an extra fee at a lab. So thrilled that everything is working fine again! Water is life and boy do I appreciate my awesome well now that everything is running smooth! If you ever run out of water, low pressure, nothings working, or even just to have it checked out, possibly a deeper well than you have, make sure to call Terrier Pump and Water Quality! Found out that our backflow for irrigation was leaking for what was probably years in the making…read more Called a bunch of plumbers and none of them seemed to know much about fixing backflows. Jim from Bills Backflow Service came out and literally had the gaskets and parts for my backflow (on my 15 yr old house in lincoln) and fixed it in 20 minutes (in the 105 degree heat). I offered to hold an umbrella and bring him cold water and he wouldnt let me but i did anyway. He was a great guy and really knows backflows as he works on public buildings and if you need backflow testing or fixing call Jim! He's a great local guy and has a beautiful dog that he brings too! Also he charged a fourth of what another plumber in Sac quoted (after seeing these pics.) I have never in my life tipped a plumber but did so today!(20%, too!)

He explained the cost if he had to come out and replace it and even said he would come out after his daughter graduation, but wanted to walk me through some steps to see if that was actually needed. He stayed with me on the phone as I went through the steps and lo and behold it worked. If you ever need a well or pump guy, this is your guy. I HIGHLY recommend this business!!!!
