The minute our warranty expired at the 5 year mark the service tech found all kinds of things wrong. It was a nightmare to hear the items wrong after a tech was just out three months prior and found nothing. I am sorry but this company is not honest or trustworthy. Then quoted me $800 plus labor and the part was on Amazon (identical brand and part #) for $18 dollars. They have zero integrity anymore. Buyer beware! Please please read all the reviews! I am extremely disappointed with Environmental Heating and Air Solutions. My experience with them has been nothing short of a nightmare. They installed the AC until in the place we are renting, but it has broken down twice now. Both times, trying to get any sort of response from their so-called "customer service center" has been a complete disaster. They use a call center service that seems pointless because they never return your phone calls. It doesn't matter if you stress that it's an emergency - they just ignore you. We have been left sweating in the heat, waiting for a callback that never comes. This level of unresponsiveness is unacceptable, and if you read all the bad reviews, everyone has the same experience. The good reviews come from the initial installation, the bad reviews come after. Their lack of communication and disregard for their customers' needs is appalling. Save yourself the frustration and find a more reliable heating and air solutions provider. Environmental Heating and Air Solutions is a colossal waste of time and money. read more

Review update. Shannon (the self-reported leader of training for EVHA) came to our home to fix the problems we have been experiencing. This visit took him a couple hours but in essence he found a problem with our settings on the thermostat for flow rates of the system, which would explain a lot about why the system could not keep up. It seems that all is working well now. I appreciate the commitment to fixing the issues. Just an observation, ALL the problems we had thus far are linked to the installation. I am hopeful the owners/managers track back to our install and have a conversation with the installers at our property and the multiple visits and hours the mistakes they made cost the company in time and effort. For now .... a satisfied customer. I can recommend EVHA but be watchful of the installation. read more

BEWARE!! TOTAL REGRET!! $$$$ Last week a tech came out to fix our air. After he did the diagnostic, he came down and said he needed to put two parts to make the unit work so he could find the leak. One of the part a capacitor, he said would cost 400. After 20 minutes of replacing the items, he came back down and said he could not get the unit to start. Then he says it needs gas and in order for him to find the leak it will cost several thousand. And several thousand more to fix the problem. Then he proceeded to say I wouldn't put that kind of money in a unit this old. The unit is about 10 years old and I know people that have units that are over 15 years old that are still running great and have been fixed to get it running for several more years. (Of course, I knew where this guy was headed. He was trying to sell us a new unit). He then proceeded by saying you are better off buying a new unit. He quotes $18,000 for a new unit. The worst part of all was the shock when he quoted us for his work that day, $1200. That was $1200 for putting in parts that cost under $100 and for spending an hour and a half at our house and left our house with the unit not working and worst of all he still didn't find the problem. We decided to get another technician from a different company. And boy, the things we found out. The technician that came first from environmental heating and air solution didn't even do proper work. And the technician from the other company told us that what we were in charged was outrageous. It is a shame that this company take advantage of people. It is a shame that this company is not out to serve the community, but themselves from the hard-earned money of people. I called and complained about the charge and haven't heard back from them. Last summer, I noticed the AC unit was making a loud noise. The first technician (Raul) that came over to performed a service check during the winter did a full diagnostic (about 45 minutes) and gave me the bad news: the AC compressor and refrigeration coil were not working properly causing the system no to cool, as expected and making an unusual loud noise; at first, I was uncertain at what I heard, and I just could not believe what the technician explained and the remediation and it was still winter! Then, during the first hot day of May, I realized it was real! So, I called EHA and asked to have a manager call me back about this issue and believe or not, the same day, the manager called me back and explained, once more the issue in detail. He then, sent one of their best senior technician (Shannon) to take another look; well, this time, just like the manager owner Matt, the techie was very patient explaining over again what the issue was and offered two possible solutions; in summary, my summer fun budget was busted! Like everyone else that lives in this planet, I was not happy with the unexpected expense; however, the alternative wasn't too promising either! So, it finally synced in brain... so, in summary, I really appreciated their honesty and the prompt resolution of the issue by EHA team who put up with my frustration; I mean, they sent two qualified AC technician to explain the issue with no pressure, and once I made up my mind, the following Monday by 1PM, Shannon and Zac had installed a brand new unit that immediately started cooling the house quietly and at a great value. I must say, EHA has a superior knowledgeable technical team and I do value their integrity. We have a 2 month old system that started going out daily. Today Shannon, the technician came out to investigate the problem. He was very professional, and knowledgeable. He's took time to explain the system, then went on the roof to troubleshoot. It took him very little time to identify the problems and resolve the issue. We purchased a hvac system a few years ago from this company and we have had so many problems. A few weeks ago (during the heat wave) our system completely quit working right after they did a maintenance visit. The technician thought it was a circuit board that was going to cost over 700 dollars to install. When the part finally arrived the next technician said no it wasn't the circuit board it was the compressor at over 3000 dollars to repair. Keep in mind this system is only a few years old. To add insult to injury the technician said it was our fault because the air filter was dirty. It should be noted that when they installed the system they never allowed room for the installation and removal of an air filter due to space. Our air filter is literally taped onto the fan unit between the air intake from the house into the blower unit. read more

I called Environmental Heating and Air Services (EHAS) for diagnosis and repair of our central heater. Instead of sending a competent technician they dispatched a skillful con man who made pretense of troubleshooting, faulted the control board, called the "office" and announced that the part was unavailable. I later found that to be untrue, as even Grainger sells a compatible replacement. The representative then made a deal for a Lennox unit that he had on hand and could install the next day. During installation, without my knowledge or consent, he clandestinely released our AC refrigerant lines with no evidence of R22 recovery, and tucked the lines and other open connections out of sight. He must have hoped that we wouldn't notice that our AC was trashed until summer! It took me a couple of days to fully test the system and to uncover his vandalism. In response to my complaint, EHAS asserted that the employee had gone rogue acting on his own, and that they have no responsibility for their technician's mischief or for my substantial loss of a repairable heater and a (formerly) perfectly working AC. read more

They use an answering service, no customer service, been a few days... still trying to get an actual person to call to schedule a tech. Go somewhere else, this company is not worth the headache.... can't imagine what will happen if you use them for a build or plumbing work, since they would be responsible for warranty... I just called them as they installed my water heater a few years back. I wanted to ask them to confirm where the manual gas valve was because I wanted to do a flush on the tank. They told me that I would need to be charged for sending a technician out to tell me this. I then told them that I have pictures of the water heater and just wanted to know where the valve was as I don't require them to do any maintenance. And she they were the ones who installed the water heater, it does not seem to be unreasonable to ask them this. Given this experience, I would not recommend this company in the future as it appears that their after-service customer service is more about profits than helping a customer. read more

I was referred to Environmental Heating and Air Solutions by Costco as the company who would be installing my new heat pump, furnace and HEPA filter. I had confidence that Costco would ensure that any company they recommended would be backed by Costco's great customer service. Esperanza came out to explain the products we could choose from and we fell in love with her immediately. Not only did she give us a patient explanation of each system offered, she even went into our crawl space to see what we currently had! I go into our crawl space - not fun. The installation team was FANTASTIC! Zach, Abel, Kade, Christian, Miguel and Jon went right to work and they were always all working whenever I would approach them with a question or info. I was really impressed with their work ethic! It's been about 7 months since they installed our system and not only does my husband now have cool air when it's hot outside (We did not have A/C), the temperature inside has been noticeably more consistent. I waited for a while to write this review because I wanted to see how things panned out in the long run instead of reviewing something that I hadn't really tested. My final verdict is that Costco chooses its partners wisely and I am very happy that they recommended Environmental Heating and Air Solutions. Had problems with erratic heater operation. Technician Jon Cardiasmenos arrived on schedule to perform scheduled inspection, maintenance and tuneup for winter service per our contract. When advised of problem, he went out of his way to diagnose problem while performing his routine scheduled work. He diagnosed and repaired the problem, and also suggested a possible alternate source of the problem. He was very polite, friendly, and professional. Well, this was the first of the month and it is now the 18th, the system works great! Excellent job by Jon and terrific customer service! Initially I chose Environmental Heating and Air because they got the best reviews on Yelp. I completely disagree with that now. I am very, very disappointed with the service from this company. We bought a new Lennox AC unit through Costco 6 months ago. Never had a problem with anything purchased through them. 4 days ago my new AC went out. Took these guys a day to come out. Tech was nice, did what he could but said he thought it was an electrical problem and I should call an electrician to determine what the problem, since he was not an electrician and he couldn't fix the electrical. He did try to sell me surge protectors though. He got the unit running again by resetting it, but it went out again 3 hours later. I called back the next morning and they told me it would be 2 to 4 days before they could come back again. In the meantime, I called my warranty people at Costco/Lennox and they gave me several other service providers to call. I did and got a 2nd opinion. The 2nd guys said yes, it is an electrical problem, but it is in the air conditioner wiring that these guys installed. Meantime, I have tried to call the manager twice, and they have not called me back 4 days later. Yesterday, I was told the mgr would call me when they got off the phone. I still haven't heard from them. I have told them that my husband had surgery and is bedridden upstairs in the hottest room in the house and that is why this is an emergency for me. If that doesn't take priority, I don't know what does. This should have never happened to begin with. But the terrible customer service on top of it is what I am really upset about. Don't waste your time. Find a more reliable contractor. I inquired through Costco and was connected to this company. They don't often answer their phones so it's tough to get ahold of anyone, but I was able to schedule an appointment for 2 weeks out. They called just before the appointment to cancel it because they're too busy with service calls. Too late because I already took off work to be home for the appointment. They asked me to call to reschedule, so I did. It took 3 phone calls to get someone from the company, not the answering service they use, on the phone to reschedule. I scheduled an appointment for 8-9am the following week. See the attached email confirmation. Fast forward. They called and text the day before to tell me that I had a 9am appointment--not 8-9am like originally scheduled--a hard, 9am appointment. That's much better than an arrrival window. I questioned it to confirm and they assured me that someone would arrive at 9am. So, I take off work and wait at home. At 9:10am, no one arrived or called. I text to get a status. No reply. At 9:20am, I called and their phones went straight to voicemail. I left a message and text again. They called back around 9:30am to inform me their design person was 45 minutes away. An hour and fifteen minutes late!?!? And I had to call to find out. This means he didn't even leave the shop until well after he was supposed to be at my house. I took off work to be home for both appointments which makes this incredibly frustrating for me. How can you trust a company to install a $10k system if they can't even be on-time for a sales appointment or have the courtesy to call in advance if they're running late? read more

We recently had this amazing company clean, seal, and put in new duct work to our attic, and insulation. I absolutely love the team especially, Kris, and Gabriel who came to the house multiple days. They were so kind, hard working, and courteous. They went above and beyond, explained things to me when I had questions, were on time, called as they were on their way, and I had the utmost faith in them and their work. Gabriel noticed there was a board in the attic that was cracked. They came back and stabilized the broken board in the attic. Not only did they do that but they also puttied our ceiling, sanded, matches our paint, and repainted our ceiling. This kind of service it's not something I'm used to. ok i had them install a split air system at my house then it developed a leak in the refrigarent. they came out and supossedly fixed it and it started leaking again. they came out again and tried to fix it and said that they had to order a part and i have not heard from them since. this has been going on since last august and i did call a couple of times to them telling me they were going to look into it. when they said that would call me back and never did i have kids with ashma and this is rediculious. read more

They just installed a new package (heat and AC) system at our house. We are extremely happy with the job they did. The install crew, Zavier, Doug, and Zack, were awesome. They were courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and expedited the install. They cleaned our house and yard so you would never know they just installed a new unit. A crane was needed since our unit sits in the backyard, and both the crane and recycling truck were coordinated to arrive at just the right time. All of the folks at Environmental Heating and Air, including Kevin who did the estimate, have been wonderful. We are definitely using them for preventative maintenance going forward. I was looking for a reputable contractor to replace my HVAC system including replacing the duct system. I stumbled to a sales rep in Costco who is selling Lennox HVAC system. I talked to the rep to get to know about the company. The rep told me he represent EHA Solutions and that Costco backs them up if I decide to buy Lennox AC or Furnace. I requested an appointment from him to get an estimate. Chris was the sales rep who came to my property to give estimate. He arrived on time, and he was a smiley guy. The estimate is for replacing the entire ducting including registers, and HVAC system to my house. His estimate is a bit higher compare to the 2 estimates I got. I did not pick him to do the job because he did not see the asbestos on the ducting and even the asbestos pipe that goes to the roof just above the furnace. I asked him twice if he is sure about it and Chris said he is very sure. It was a turn off that he is not thorough with his inspection. He told me if they found asbestos while working, the job will stop completely and they will call an abatement company to remove it. This will be a huge delay to the project if that happen and my renters cannot move into the house on time. The two contractors I called found asbestos almost instantly. Job will require abatement first before they replace the ducting. read more

Our AC went out. Tonight called this company. The gentleman on the phone was so kind. Told me someone will be calling me within 10 minutes to come out tonight. I then received an email and text saying someone was coming to my house between 8:00 pm- 9:00 pm. If I wanted to cancel give them a call. Waited till about 8:30 and realized I received a phone call, but never heard it. Must have gone right to message. So I called them back and the lady said that they do not have anything until July 6. Of course had to scramble to call other companies to get out here ASAP. I called the company back and the dispatcher was clueless. She didn't even know where my name was. Long overdue review (July 2020). Our AC system was not working and we were going into our second year of a hot summer in Concord. We did our research and Costco was offering a great deal for a HVAC system. The system was going to be provided and installed by Environmental Heating & Air Solutions. Please forgive me for not getting all of the team member names, with the exception of Ben. They installed our new HVAC system within a day and removed our old system, which turns out was poorly installed by the previous owner. My husband and I want professional work done by a professional company, especially what we paid for the system. And EH&AS did it all! They carefully removed and then put back our fencing, which needed to remove and install for the outside unit. They outfitted our home with runners and were respectful of the limited space our condo offered. We had to (doggy) fence our living room because of our cats and our home needed to be fully opened for the installers to move in and out of our place. EH&AS has been back a couple times after our unit was installed. One was to fix the filter drawer and the next was to fix our heating, as it was a part that needed to be repaired. They have been so professional, so kind, so efficient, so prompt, and so knowledgeable. I highly recommend Environmental Heating & Air Solutions and will certainly be leaving behind their information, should we ever sell our unit.
