Our A/C had stopped working last Fall, so after speaking with the A/C rep at Costco, the very same day, he contacted their preferred Installer, Environmental Heating & Air (EHA) Solutions on our behalf - who then contacted us just as fast, scheduling a day for an A/C repair diagnosis. We were given a 2 hour arrival window and info as to who would be coming (Shannon) - who also contacted us with his specific time of arrival, showing up when he said he would! He was extremely patient with our many questions, taking us through the inspection, showing and explaining the parts being tested, taking pictures supporting his findings - and the results of the tests, all of which were provided to us with his estimate. He was very thorough and informative and we couldn't have asked for a better experience, given that another company had looked over our A/C, and within minutes, told us that we needed to replace both our A/C and Furnace - just saying that they were old and not efficient. The repair estimate showed the cost of the parts - which was quite high though competitive, so after more discussion, we decided that we wanted to get an estimate for a new A/C and possibly a new Furnace, as we didn't want the furnace to go out on us, too! We then scheduled an estimate, and Kevin came out to discuss our options - again, timely, within the 2 hour arrival window. We asked for an estimate for just the A/C, just the Furnace - and both A/C and furnace. He really listened to us, and after checking everything, including the ducts - and understanding that cost would drive out decision, he did not try to upsell us to the more deluxe units/setups that are available. He was also very patient with our many questions and it made it easy for us to make a decision on which way we wanted to go. He got us started on the financing paperwork - again, another effortless experience, then scheduled us for installation! 2 installers, Zavier and Christian, came out, also within the 2 hour arrival window and worked all day, staying past 5 to get the job done. They checked and sealed each room's outlet, got everything installed - taking the time to do the job properly, rather than follow the easy path that apparently the original installers had...and did a great job of cleaning up after the job; everything actually ended up looking much nicer than what we previously had! From start to finish, we had a smooth and seamless experience. We had a couple of follow-up questions that the office responded to quickly and fully. Walking down the hall one evening on a hot summer Sunday night, we noticed that we had the beginning of an indoor waterfall. This is NEVER a good thing unless you live in the Amazon and it is part of your house design. We don't. Not even close. Husband goes into the attic and the overflow pan underneath the a/c unit is filled with water. Keep in mind, it's like 90 degrees outside and 120+ in the attic. Tried getting the water with towels, but quickly realized we needed the wet/dry vac. Three trips down the ladder later, the pan was dry again, but in order to alleviate any problems during the night we turned the A/C off and slept with our windows open and fans going. During this time, I had also made several calls to local places to see if anyone was available, but on a Sunday night ... no one was. Imagine that. Then I started doing what I do - due diligence and looking at reviews looking at costs and general overall reviews. Some of the parts had to be ordered, so we did have to wait another week for them, but were installed without too much of a delay. We though we were done for awhile until the outside fan starting making a horrible grinding noise, so we called again hoping that it was a part that was under warranty. Nope - it's the compressor. We have been hit with a lot of bills lately due to an emergency surgery that our daughter needed, so money is extremely tight for us. Thankfully, Hans was able to help and gave us a reduced price on the part. Amazing service!! Get this. After 4 days from bringing home a brand new baby sister for my 2 and 1/2 year old son, with family in town visiting and helping out, on the hottest week of the year...my A/C goes out. What are the odds. I first called the company my landlord wanted to use (a different company than this one). Booked for 3 weeks, or so they said. I got them to recommend another company...they couldn't do it either and they recommended ANOTHER company. That company said they could get someone out but not until later in the afternoon. Fine by me. But after 3 phone calls to the company and no technician, I called yet again. "Sorry we forgot to call you back sir, but we can't get to you until tomorrow, MAYBE. I know it was a very busy time of year for these companies...but c'mon. I then decided to take matters into my own hands. I looked up HVAC companies on yelp.com and Environmental Heating & Air Solutions seemed to have a lot of good reviews so I decided to call. It was about 6:20pm when I called and I was just going to leave a message. A person actually picked up (I THINK his name was Matt?). I explained my problem and he was very understanding and sympathetic. He put me on hold to see if he had any technicians in the area. Again, this was about 6:20pm! After trying a couple times, he got back on the line and said Sergio, who was just finishing up for the night, has a soft spot for families with babies and will be there between 7-8pm...THAT NIGHT! I couldn't believe it. I Thanked him and hung up. About 7:02pm...Sergio knocked on the door. Nicest guy you could want. Came in, assessed that my capacitor had burnt out, replaced it within 15 minutes (if that), replaced it, and cold air was blowing on me and my family. I owe a great debt of gratitude for what this company did for my family. It might be a "first-world problem" but when it's 105 degrees outside, a house with a newborn (about 1 week old), a 2 and 1/2 year old, a recovering wife, and family staying over, I was panicked. I highly recommend Environmental Heating & Air Solutions for any HVAC needs you may have! Great team across the board! Here's my story: My house is configured with 2 HVAC systems - one for upstairs, and one for downstairs. On Wednesday the downstairs system went out. I started by calling the guy that had been maintaining our existing system. When he said he would replace it all for $25K, I thought, yeah, I would too for that price. So I started calling around to get various quotes and availability. By Friday morning, we were on our 4th quote and we selected the company to do the work - Environmental Heating & Air Solutions. We agreed that we would just replace the downstairs unit and leave the upstairs unit until it died. They didn't try to hard sell at all. They were scheduled to do the work on Tuesday (they could have done it sooner, but the schedule worked well with my work schedule. That Friday afternoon after the quote and before the initial installation, the upstairs AC unit died too. It's a little warm to not have AC. Of course, I called EHAS back and they rushed over 2 portable cooling units which got us through until Tuesday. That was really awesome of them to bring over the portable units! In the end, they were a lot less expensive than the first quote, they used top quality equipment, completed their work on time, and took care of all of the paperwork including the rebates, permits, and inspections. We liked that all of the employees that we met were very personable and knowledgeable, which gave us the confidence to select them. We are very happy with our new system! When I needed to replace my aged heating and A/C system, I did some research, then called in Environmental Heating and Air Solutions. I am happy to recommend this company to anyone looking for trustworthy, efficient service for repair or replacement of their heating and air conditioning system. Matthew, who came to assess the situation and give me a bid, was professional and thorough, communicated clearly, and helped me to make the most logical, energy-efficient, and economical decision. Talking with him, I felt confident that I had made the right choice, and this was only reinforced when the team of installers arrived to do the work. Matt, Mike, and Kevin did a great job. They were here to begin work by 8 AM, and by 3:30 PM the job was completed, an entire new Lennox furnace and air conditioning system was installed and working beautifully, I had been instructed in its operation, and they were on their way. Within an hour the debris of the old system had been picked up and removed by their subcontractor. Shortly thereafter a representative from Archon Energy Solutions appeared to perform the H.E.R.S. inspection. By the end of the day the entire procedure of installation, clean-up, and inspection was complete. All that remained was for me to call and set up an appointment with the City inspector to look over the work and confirm that everything was in accordance with the building permit as issued. After receiving the City inspector's approval a few days later, Environmental Heating and Air Solutions lost no time in applying for the applicable rebates and notifying me that this had been done. Absolutely wonderful company!! I came home after work to find that my air conditioner was not cooling. Fearing an outrageous after hours service fee I hesitated to call, but I called anyways. I left a message on voicemail and within five minutes I had the owner returning my call from his sons baseball game! Who does that? I was embarrassed for interrupting him during his family time. He immediately made me feel better by telling me it was no bother at all and then informed me that Brandy would be calling me to address my questions and needs. I did receive a call from Brandy immediately and she was absolutely very caring and friendly. I asked about the dreaded after hours fee...there was none! They just charge their regular rate regardless of the time.. WOW. I was impressed. She then had arranged for a service technician to be at my house within the hour. Another worry set in...will I have a grumpy service technician for being here so late in the evening? I hesitantly opened my door to the service tech. I immediately apologized for interrupting his evening. He just smiled and introduced himself with a said it was not a bother and I did not need to apologize. Sergio was very sincere when he said this to me. Another WOW! Sergio demonstrated what the issue was with my unit and explained how he would repair it and by 10 pm my air conditioning unit was finally cooling properly. This company is positively phenomenal. Had an old AC system that broke down and needed expensive repairs. We chose to get a new system instead. Melody, a friendly representative at Costco, provided us with information and set up a call for the next morning. We then spoke with Gina, who was very cordial, who set up a same-day consult. Tom came over that day and reviewed the needs of our home and provided a variety of options based on our needs. He was very thorough, polite, professional, and took his time explaining my current system and the options we had moving forward. Tom also quickly noticed some poor work from a different company and made sure it would get fixed during the install without additional charge. After deciding on a system, Environmental Heating and Air was able to install the new system the day after Tom's consult. I was renting a home in Vacaville last year the furnace was not working as it was supposed to, the unit was very old and not worth doing any repairs so the owner of the home opted for replacement. She called about 3 different companies to come out and take a look at the current system and give pricing on replacement. Ultimately, she chose to have Environmental complete the replacement of the unit. I was a bit weary having installers in and out of the home at first, but the fact that they are partnered with Costco helped to ease my mind a bit. On the day of install, the crew arrived right on time and ready to get started. Throughout my experience with this company I felt they were very customer service oriented, plus they took the time to answer any of my questions. Even though I did not personally own the home, they kept me involved in what I needed to do as far as the duct testing and scheduling the permit inspection. I called in and scheduled the appointment with Brandy last week and she was able to fit me in the schedule right away. WOW!!! This company was so great about response time i was amazed. Cory showed up within a half hour of my call WooHoo! He did his magic on my AC unit ,and thru the detail work he provided on my system ,he found my problem. i was so amazed that Cory not only figured it out ,but run test to confirm his theory. He was spot on . The system leaked and a other company put stop leak in it,to think this would have fixed the problem, NOT , it plugged it up. So Cory gave me the option on a new unit, let me pick the price that i could afford. I was impressed. Not only that, he asked when i would like it installed, which i said jokingly, tomorrow. Cory, while talking to me made a phone call and the next thing he said was ,OK would you mind if we started at 7:30Am.. WOW!! The three man crew showed up. and were they nice, my wife was even impressed. So polite and considerate to our needs. The crew was so nice ,i asked them if the could do almost the impossible task of adding a new vent in the kitchen, their response was no problem. Wow they did it. We had worked with another HVAC service company who serviced us and as it turned out broke a switch in or furnace, tried to tape it toegther to make it work, sold us a new blower motor and then installed it wrong, the list went on. We fought for over a month to try and get them out to fix the furnace and motor but we were getting cold so we yelped to see who could meet our needs and not take advantage of us. Along came Sergio from Environmental Heating and Air Solutions. While there will always be a few bad experiences with service organizations and even this company had a couple we called them on the afternoon of 12/31/12. Thinking that we at least wanted to get on their books for service Eric the representative was eager to help us out and get warm again. He said he could have his technician out the next day - New Years Day to service us and get the heat back on. I asked if there would be an extra charge for this service and he said no. In fact, on New Years Day Sergio arrived and with 30 minutes found the bad switch and he fortunately had one on his truck - boom we had heat! We have FINALLY found someone to find the issue with our Lennox AC Unit!!!! After 30 minutes of being here... Carey (my new hero) found out what was wrong and it is indeed the return valve. Which we found out is a rare occurrence in these Lennox units. When asking about the possibility of the other hvac company that installed it... and also asking about the chances of the techs missing it when they are a Lennox servicer... Carey said it could've happened later on in the life of the system and it would be so hard to know when exactly it happened. He ran the tests and found out what was wrong and we are now on the road to getting it fixed. When I tell you that customer service is such a big deal to me- I really can't emphasize it enough. He told me each test he was running, explained it to me so I can understand, literally sat on my couch and explained in detail to my in laws aka my realtors.. and chayce as well. He even called to make sure the part we needed was in stock and has it ready to be dropped off at his office and he got me in this Thursday to fix it! I really can't give them a better review! IF you are looking for someone in the sacramento/ Bay Area to service or repair your units and you have Lennox or any other unit- This is the company for your needs!!!! read more

To Whom it May Concern: I recently purchased a new home and in keeping up with my warranty obligations as a homeowner I called Environmental Heating & Air being as the preferred Lennox dealer in my area. Tim Klapp came out and listened to my concerns and I asked him to please inspect thoroughly both the AC and especially the Furnace system in the attic. We have been here six months and we had no idea what was up there or the integrity of the installation of the new home builder? Tim took the time and a lot photos for us noting everything he had found that needed attention. This included discovering multiple air ducts issues, an improper installation on a key part of the furnace, 2 high voltage circuits hanging in the air not secured and a brand-new fresh air ventilator system not even installed into our new home as it should have been. The fact is the system was gutted and total dysfunctional from the day we moved in. We cannot thank Tim Klapp enough in taking the time to document this so the Homebuilder can rectify their sloppy work and the missing fresh air ventilator system that we paid for.
