I was especially impressed with their commitment to the welfare of the animals, checking them over every day, and making their health and wellbeing a priority. Many of the staff there have worked for animal rescue and humane societies in the past and it shows in the care of their horses - the horses are well fed, in good condition, sweet and gentle. Drew and Jase welcomed us warmly when we arrived. Our mounts were saddled and ready to go. We're riding novices in our 70's, and Zimmer and Dune suited us perfectly for the relaxed, easy trip we wanted. We hadn't paid for a private tour, but it was just the two of us that Drew escorted along the ranch's scenic trails, no one else in sight the entire way. The views of mountains and wide open plains were spectacular as we rode through stands of oak and aspen and across meadows, chatting companionably with Drew, who was charming. An experience so delightful, we've already booked a repeat ride for next week.

When we arrived it was a simple log cabin. Inside there was a restaurant serving American food like burgers, soda fountain, ice cream, convenience store items, and fishing area. A little of everything - including a clean bathroom and a place to buy a fishing license! We got the ice cream and it was a hearty portion and definitely delicious! We liked Freemons so much we stopped for burgers and ice cream again on the way home! The staff was great, family owned business. They had indoor and outdoor seating. Outside offered both covered and uncovered areas. The creek was right there and the views were pretty spectacular.
