They will tell you exactly where to go and what to use and be completely honest about everything even if you are not using their guide service. Both were extremely personable, and have truly good advice that helped my wife and I up our catch rate exponentially. We stayed in a Teepee. It was such a cool experience and had so many beds in there for all of us. Workers were soooo accommodating and nice. The campfires they have are great as you get to meet other people. I definitely would stay here again because the vibes are great. *update at the bottom* Firstly I want to start by saying I…read moretruly was so excited about this trip!! When I found this location I was sold immediately! I reviewed the website, read a bunch & looked at pictures then booked my family's stay. When we pulled up we first noticed the bathrooms (or what appeared to be) were caution taped off. When I got us checked in I was told their normal bathrooms are under renovation & they have temporary trailers next to them one with bathrooms (toilet &sink) & one with showers. I thought okay, that'll be great! They gave me a nice little map of the area and marked where we were staying & told us we should be fine to use the power source in the tent. We pulled up to our tent & our little boys were stoked as were we. We unzipped & went in & I was in awe! We unpacked & got all set up for bed before heading to the community firepit. Fast forward to bedtime & my husband trying to take our boys potty.. There was only ONE toilet (2 urinals) & one sink in the Men's bathroom. If you've seen the map you've noticed there is likely to be a decent amount of males staying here.. To say that was inconvenient & cramped is an understatement. Showers have a "trick" you have to run two in order for the water to get hot, then turn off one & get in the other. I did that & about 1/4 of the way through mine turned FREEZING! I was naked, wet & soapy. Not in any position to get to the shower next door & crank it on in hopes for warm water. Once we get everyone in bed I'm laying there with my flashlight on, (Couldn't figure out the power source.) while laying there I was staring at the ceiling & noticed black spots EVERYWHERE! I am not exaggerating when I saw it was all over.. My hubby isn't one for making a big deal so I kept it all to myself.. then my kid who is allergic to mold sneezed continuously the rest of the trip as well as sore throats and even headaches. I was so nervous for us being in there that we waited until 9:30 to go to bed then got up at 4:30 each day to head to the park so we had less exposure. I did LOVE that they had comfy beds, linens, a couch and lights, even if we struggled using them. However, I slept terribly thinking about what we were breathing in & being exposed to. Wondering if anyone else's tent looked like this & how they didn't have multiple complaints. My hubby finally admitted as we were driving away our last morning that he did think it was indeed mold & that he thought it was because it was really in the shade and likely never got to dry out very well. I'm mad at myself for not talking to them about this & hoping they'd make it right. But just be cautious with the condition of tent you're staying in. Hopefully the one we had was the worst they have. 2 photos I took while laying awake ponder my life choices in continuing to sleep there. The entire Bell tent was like that all the way around the ceiling and up to the peak. **The company did reach out to me and explain the travesty behind the bathroom situation. They said they had bought a brand new bathhouse last year but the company forgot a vital part on the roof. Said the roof membrane was missing all winter and so that caused it to leak and there was major damage by the end of winter. They are hoping to have new ones by the end of this season for next year. As for the tent situation, they said they reached out to the manufacturer last year bc some of the tents starting showing signs of mold & canvas is supposed to be mold resistant. The manufacturer said to treat it & it would be good. They did treat them, but ended up ordering all new tents this year. My fam had the unlucky chance of staying in one of two tents on site that were last years, because they had 2 tents get severely damaged by hail. She did offer me a partial refund & gave me one night reimbursement. That is some rotten luck for this small business and due to that, I wanted to update my review. We did have a great time & I would have loved to have a better experience. If we are ever in the area again, I think I'd try it out again because it was fun. However I wouldn't wait until we left to mention any sign of mold this time.
