We booked a fishing experience, through our lodging, and our family had a great afternoon. The fish don't always cooperate, but Pat and Garrett were excellent teachers and worked hard to put our family on the fish. It's tough when you're not catching, but even our kids said they had a great time. Thanks to Pat and Garrett for a great memory!

This is our cabin. It's very newly furnished abs smells like pine in the woods.

We stayed in cabin 12 and it was absolutely amazing! Andrew was very nice to us and made us feel very welcomed. It's not too far from West Yellowstone and so serene! Thanks for a wonderful 2 day stay.

Our cabin!

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Drift Lodge over the past 3 days. The cabins are clean and adorable and smell so great from the cedar. The community fire pit and grill were a pleasant surprise and we enjoyed the company of the other guests! They have truly accommodated us. We appreciate their support for law enforcement! Our only complaint is about the water pressure in the shower, but everything else has been awesome!

Spacious cabins, good beds, kitchinette, microwave, cable TV, won't leave your credit card smoking & very friendly owners. Located about 30 mins from Yellowstone. WiFi not available in the cabins, only in and around the office area which closes around 7 PM. Our cabin could use some updates on bathroom (luke warm water for about 5 mins) and kitchen. The owners aquired the property just two years ago and are making improvements almost every day. Should you be interested in hunting and/or fishing; ask them, they are very knowlegableabout the subjects.

The "queen duplex" cabin (duplex front to back, not side to side)

I could not be happier with the Drift Lodge! We booked a cabin here while attending a wedding in West Yellowstone. It's a 20 minute, easy drive to town without the high end prices. Our two night stay was easily half the price (in the single bed duplex cabin) than what a hotel would have been in town, and there's so much more charm and personality here! There are large family cabins or one room duplex cabins; our single room is a "tiny house" style set up, and is brand new with clean, quality linens, and a hotel-quality Tempurpedic mattress. Every cabin has a porch with chairs. The scenery is beautiful, and with the exception of cars passing by, it's more or less silent. So peaceful! It's a family run company and they are warm, welcoming, and accommodating. We even got to spend time with their "welcoming committee" -- the family dogs frequently make the rounds to say hi to the guests if you're out on the porch. If you're looking at West Yellowstone, but want something with a little bit more Big Sky charm and at a much better price, the Drift Lodge is for you.

We had one outside bed in lower living room and needed an extra bed for my son. The staff was extremely friendly and helped us with a small foldable foam bed. House was well maintained and we had no complaints. One small suggestion would be if they could put out a garbage disposable outside or behind the house that can be easily identifiable. We initially struggled a bit to spot the garbage disposal box.

We had plenty of room for everyone. Of the 8 bedrooms, 6 have king size beds, and two of them have private full baths. There are 3 additional full baths for the others. The cabin itself is pretty new, so everything was clean and in working order. The location is very close to the west entrance to the park, and is convenient to downtown shops and restaurants. The kitchen had plenty of plates, silverware, pots and pans, etc. I was especially impressed with the quality of the pots and pans, very nice for a rental. The cabin also has a full sized washer and dryer, which was very convenient. The WIFI was available, but I have to say it is not very fast. Considering the location, this was not too surprising. There were no problems with billing, or unexpected charges. Overall a great choice for a large party, I highly recommend this location!

Stainless steel appliances, flat screen tv, brand new bathroom, washer/dryer. This is the perfect place to call home after a long day of Montana adventures! Prices are very reasonable, too. We stayed in the 2 bedroom, 1 bath "Creekside" cottage and I believe it was just $220/night! The super 8 motel down the street charges $250/room. There is a front and back porch. Back porch looks over small bubbling stream. It is very relaxing! Highly recommend Brook Trout Inn!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here for the most part. I'll start with the positives:…read more- breakfast was the best part of our stay and was an incredible buffet with different options on both of our days. - the staff is friendly and helpful. - it was cool having a wood fireplace and being provided wood/fire starter. - the WiFi works well although I wish it had a password. - our king mattress was comfortable and the pillows were better than average. - the room was clean. - the windows open and are screened. - the local dog is friendly and cute. Negatives: - the roads are pretty bad, especially for my low car. To get to our cabin I had to navigate muddy potholes. - our AC in the cabin was pretty bad. It was difficult to understand and was inconsistent. The bathroom was pretty much always freezing. - there is no TV in the room (this may be a positive for some). - the products used in the bathroom (lotion, shampoo, etc.) are from Dial. This is likely the cheapest option and not something we would use. - the cabins are similar to a duplex. I thought it was a standalone unit we booked, but thankfully it was not crowded and we did not have a neighbor. - the door is a standard keyed lock. I wish it was a key pad so there isn't a risk of losing a key or needing to keep up with one. Overall, the positives outweigh the negatives and we would stay here again.

They have activities that you can book ahead of time. My sister, husband and I booked the 2-hour horseback riding ($120) and it was definitely worth it. We had so much fun and would highly recommend this to anyone that visits. Your stay includes breakfast at McGill's and it was pretty decent and they change up the items daily. Waffles, eggs, sausage, pastries, fruit, biscuits & gravy, yogurt & granola, coffee, tea, juice. McGill's is also available for dinner and it's so convenient. I recommend making reservations. The ranch is roughly 45 minutes to Bozeman airport and also 45 minutes to the west entrance into Yellowstone National Park. The wedding was gorgeous, and the ranch sets the perfect atmosphere of a classic Western vibe. The whole family had a great time. It's a beautiful ranch and a gem along the Gallatin river, 10/10.

There is one main cabin with the kitchen and 3 bedrooms plus two other adjacent cabins just steps away. The main house is fully stocked with all of the necessary cooking accessories (coffeemaker, microwave, great oven/range, dishwasher and even a good coffee maker). There's a large, gas grill on the outside deck that worked great for us. The place has satellite TV in the living area and wifi, too (but don't expect cable modem speeds in such a remote location). At night we spent most of our time hanging out around the fire pit with antelope just yards away. But one of the locations greatest values is that it is a short walk (5 min?) to one of the finest stretches of the Madison river, absolutely beautiful. Diana and David are excellent hosts (albeit, they weren't physically there) who made sure everything was well taken care of. Like this place and these people a lot. We would definitely return!

Step out of the door of the lodge and you'll be in the Madison River in just steps. Perfect for fisherman that want to wade in. They also offer guided float trips on historic river. Ask for Montana Mike, he's the best. Great stories, and a great guide. Lodging stay includes meals (which were incredible) and full beverage offerings. I always like to relax on the riverside Caddis Shack with a scotch on the rocks after a long day on the river. Easy access to the areas other sites. We took a half-day trip into Yellowstone. The west gate is about a half an hour away. Perfect to shoot over and witness Old Faithful. Hebgen and Quake lakes are also on the way and offer up other experiences for Fly Fisherman. Ennis, MT is also about a half hour away. A quaint fishing town that has some fun events throughout the summer and a great local pond that is free for kids to fish. All in all, if you want a great experience in the West Yellowstone area of MT then check out Old Kirby Place. And if the owner Bruce is in town, make sure to ask him for a story or two.

Our first breakfast, consisting of burn/charred bacon and beyond burned toast. I still cannot figure out how one burns toast in a toaster Brent did not serve breakfast on our schedule and I am not sure he had one. If you do not mind having a gallon jug of milk sitting on the breakfast table and two 1/2 gallons of orange sitting on the table, then Brent is your guy. I do mind. Our second breakfast consisted of steaks that had been sitting on the counter all day and all night. Most people in the party were afraid to eat the steaks. There was no fruit or anything healthy. The third breakfast---oh! Brent never showed up, adults and kids checked out without a breakfast and the Lodge is not convenient where you can go down the street to eat I would NOT recommend The Old Kirby Place. We were told an open bar---never saw an open bar and actually had to ask Brent for drinks. It seems Brent does most of the drinking and the guests are on their own
