Cute, charming and right on the river. Friendly front desk staff. Our dinner downstairs was pretty good (burger was great). It's not a place for light sleepers, though, because the floors and walls are very thin. I would have rated it higher, but Room 19 smelled very, very heavily of dog pee. We kept the doors open as long as we could but had to close them at night. It was so bad that we resorted to putting scented hand lotion in our nostrils to try to block it out at bedtime. We stopped by on a road trip just by chance. The food and the view from the restaurant was so amazing that I can't wait for the return trip so we can eat there again. I had the bison poutine and cacio e Pepe, which were ridiculously delicious. The poutine was a perfect savoury treat of texture, with the crispy kale and fries against the rich cheese. All in all, solid food done with care and excellence, at a reasonable price. If you're looking for a restful or romantic casual meal, you can't do better. read more

Our first of hopefully many stays at Anglers Lodge was perfect! Their front desk staff was so friendly. We stayed in one of the bungalows. It was perfect for our family of 5. The kitchenette was useful as well as in room washer and dryer. The fireplace and view of the river was so cozy! We had the opportunity to eat at the lodge restaurant twice. The food was amazing. They have a new menu and the goober burger was well worth the gamble! Their drinks menu is unique and the drinks were delicious. Jason, Maddie, Jagger, and Zach were all so friendly. We felt right at home! It's well within a convenient drive to Yellowstone and surrounding areas. We will definitely be back as soon as we can! read more

The Angler's Lodge is a great place to stay if you are considering visiting the west entrance of Yellow Stone Park, which is only about 30 minutes away. It sits on the banks of the Buffalo River. The staff, Zack the GM, Savanna the bar and resteraunt manager, jason and Maddy bartenders and servers and the executive chef were made me feel like i was home. The accomodations rustic, clean, and great views of the river and mountain range. I will come back just for the view, however the food was nothing to shake a stick at. I grew up with great food from my grandmother and mama, and if the came I believe they would love it also. I had three different meals, the duck confit the first night, the elk shooters the second, and the fish tacos the last nights stay, and the hit it out of the park with all three meals. My only regret is not being able to stay one or two more nights to try something else. Cant go wrong, highly recommended. Great place to be after a full day looking at our great nations national park. read more

My husband and I along with my cousin and her husband stayed here for two days. An amazing two days. Cory was so pleasant and helpful. I believe her name was Beth that took our reservation and was such a delight. We stayed in the room Gordon Ramsey was in and it was a clean, nice large room with two Queen sized beds. We lived everything about this place. The views are breathtaking and the hospitality genuine and sweet. Highly recommend staying here. We had a fabulous time. we got here at 6:07 pm so we could be back at our cabin before dark we sat outside it was beautiful and the sun was out it was warm mid September. ordered 3 salads and summer chicken and a lavender lemonade needless to say it took an hour to get the drink and an 1 1/2 to get food which was not good and they forgot to bring the salad for the 4 th person. I am not a picky person but leaving the restaurant at 8:30 with no wait to get seated was insane and disrespectful of our time! This is what is known as a perfect storm review. The four of us were passing through and decided to stop for dinner, there were so many things wrong on several fronts. Slow service, out of two things that were on the menu, two of the orders were were cold, when sent back was not fixed, was over charged for something that we did not order when the second bill came it was not fixed and had to be adjusted for the third time. We went into the lodge and noticed that the pool table wasn't like it was in the photos, cobwebs lined the railings and windows. Angler's has a stunning location right along the Henry's Fork of the Snake River. The interior is also lovely. We have been here twice since the new opening in summer 2023. However, the prices for food and drink are way too high for the quality. My husband's $17 Old Fashioned was watered down and way too sweet. The greens on the side dinner salad were wilted and the garnish was three carrot shavings laid across. While the chicken fried chicken was tasty, the plate skimped on the gravy and vegetables and was costly at $28 for the entree. Also, while Angler's seems to want to provide a luxury restaurant experience, the service was not so. The waiter's interaction with the table was perfunctory and no excitement was generated about the menu or drink selection. We were so hoping that this restaurant would successfully provide a deluxe dining experience in Island Park. Sadly, the restaurant is charging 5 star prices for diner quality. read more

We stayed here on during our trip to Yellowstone. The location is awesome - the lodge stands on a bank of the river, so you can see it from your room. It's like super close. Great for those who came here to fish (I think there's trout in the river). The interior looks awesome: wood, fur, it reminds of a cabin in the woods. I loved the way it looked, although people sensitive to the products of hunt might not appreciate this place. When we arrived there was sth wrong with the electricity in the kitchen, so they didn't serve any food. Which was not convenient at all, we had to drive elsewhere looking for food, and on Sunday evening, in a place like this it was quiet a challenge. A lot of places closed their business and were abandoned. It gives off a bit of a creepy feeling. The breakfast was ok: boiled eggs, cereal, DIY waffles. There's a bar in the top, however, we didn't use it. I think it's a decent place to stay for a night, but not longer than this for sure. The River Lodge and the Angler's Lodge, which is right across Highway 20, provide a beautiful, quiet alternative to the bustle and crowds of West Yellowstone. It's been about 10 years since I've been to the area and the crowds at Yellowstone were somewhat overwhelming. These lodging facilities about 30 minutes west of West Yellowstone offered some nice peace and quiet and some beautiful sunset views along Henry's Fork of the Snake River. My wife and our two kids initially arrived and checked in to room number 9 in the River Lodge which was a nice room but a little small for our group. I went to the front office and spoke to DeeDee who was incredible. She made arrangements for us to stay in room 19 that night and move over to a large room cabin at the Angler's Lodge the last two nights of our visit. All accommodations were clean and very comfortable. Room 19 had 3 large king beds and lots of room. The cabin across highway 20 was incredible! We will definitely be returning with a larger group in the near future! The Angler's Lodge also has a great restaurant and bar with great views! The bar staff was incredible as well - excellent service and great food! I hope the management and staff of both the River Lodge and Angler's Lodge read this - thank you so much for helping make our trip to Yellowstone a memorable one for our family!! read more

They advertise this place like you're getting a cabin. Nope! I am a 100% disabled veteran, we have a large dog and my father in law is handicap. We were given a room on the second floor. We switched rooms only to find out that half the rooms outlets don't work. I use a cpap and couldn't get a hold of anyone at the front desk for maintenance. read more

We asked if we could leave early after 2 nights to go to Salt Lake City to visit family, and they said the could if they could find someone else to book the room, which was understandable. They very quickly booked someone else in the room, and told us when we checked out July 1 that they would issue us a credit for the 3rd night. A week later on July 8, we had not received a credit so I called the hotel and talked to Eva, who said it would be "addressed immediately". Nothing happened. Called again on July 14 and talked to Betty, who said she would contact the manager and get it addressed. Nothing happened. Called on July 19, and was hung up on. Repeatedly called back and they would never answer the phone. Learned that there is some obvious dishonesty with this business, and would not recommend doing business with them. read more

I can count the number of times I have written a yelp review on one hand. After spending the last three nights at Anglers Lodge in Island Park, Idaho, my wife and I decided we needed to write a review. We stayed at Anglers Lodge in July 2018 for three nights. This was the third time we have stayed at Anglers Lodge - once in the main building and twice in Cabin #27. Cabin #27 is about 100 yards from the main building. Positives: Beautiful views of Henry's Fork. Legendary fly fishing and native wild trout are just a few feet away. The people who work at Angler's Lodge are wonderful. Very nice people who want to provide a positive experience. I just don't know how much they know about the hospitality industry. The restaurant is probably a 3.5/5. Good food, natural ambiance. Close proximity to Yellowstone National Park is a huge positive. Negatives: while we have stayed at Anglers Lodge twice before, the conditions have worsened and have made the lodge quite uncomfortable. 1. Late one evening we found a mouse running around the room our kid's were sleeping in. We lost a night's sleep trying to trap the mouse, but we never found it after the initial sighting. I realize we're in nature - so we'll give this a pass. 2. During the search for the mouse, we realized how dirty the cabin is. Underneath the couches, the beds, the fridge, etc. etc. - it was all disgusting. I don't think the cabin has had a deep clean in years. 3. The cabin smelled like a mix of moldy carpet and dead rat. I have no doubt in my mind that there are dead animals in the walls of the cabin. 4. While the sheets and towels were clean, the dust ruffle (I'm told that's what it's called) on each of the beds has foot prints on them. 5. NOISE! We couldn't sleep due to the late evening and early morning noise that was coming from the occupants living on the second floor of the cabin. Dogs barking and loud stomping all night long. If the cabin was built with quality craftsmanship, this probably wouldn't be an issue. But it was pretty unbearable. 6. We found a centipede in our silverware drawer. After finding the bug, we noticed how dirty the silverware drawer was. Old food crumbs, dead bugs, etc. We would love to continue staying at Anglers Lodge, but I'm afraid this was our last time staying there. Between the mouse, dead bugs, the noise and overall cleanliness, we've lost confidence in Anglers Lodge. We hope they're able to improve conditions. read more

Early evening, one table with 4 people. Otherwise empty. Waitress left to find someone old enough to serve us cocktails. 15 min. later, no service. Waitress pointed out owner. This lady was reprimanding another waitress loud enough for us to hear. I asked why we hadn't been served. She said "we're busy!" I said we were here to eat and drink and if we weren't a priority perhaps we should go elsewhere. She said "GO!" So we did. On the way out we saw a man at a desk by the door way back in a dark corner. Maybe her husband? He said "Have a better day!" Won't ever, ever get back together. :-) read more

We stayed in a cabin within walking distance to this place, walked over with our twins for lunch. The place was empty on a Saturday afternoon, which surprised me but I didn't mind since we had the whole place to our selves. We were told all the visitors from the lodge when to Yellowstone in the morning. First impression was, WOW look at that view! This place is so adorable. We would have loved to sit outside for hours and have some drinks, but it's mosquito season so inside was much better. Loved the decor, style, layout, etc. Our server was August, she was a seasonal worker from Europe. She had been there for 2 weeks, you could tell she was new and still learning things, but no complaints about her; she was friendly, pleasant and checked on us frequently. Glad to find a black bean burger on the menu for my vegetarian husband, who mentioned that it tasted great. The French fries were just right. I ordered the gourmet grilled cheese, with tomatoes and bacon; it was good, but I prefer sliced cheese in my grilled cheese vs shredded cheese. We actually came back for dinner with some friends because that view is hard to beat at sunset. Dinner menu wasn't that different, but it wasn't a problem. My husband ordered the butternut squash soup, which he also said was pretty good. I ordered the beet and arugula salad, which was very good and I would order again. Had a molten lava cake with ice cream for dessert. The cake was really dense, which isn't bad if you like that, I prefer a little fluffier, but that being said I finished the whole thing:) I did have to change my baby but there was no changing table in the bathroom, but I was told I can go upstairs where it was more private. I just saw this place on Fox's show, seems like it's turned around and doing much better now. Overall, there is some room for improvement but I would recommend it and go back to eat here. read more
