Clean, up-to-date, decorated nicely for Yellowstone. Great firepit!
We liked this cluster of lodgings where friends were staying. The Rustic Bison buildings were like three long single-wide trailers, made permanent, behind a cabin. Those three we rented were clean and up-to-date, with many nice western decorations inside. Living room, kitchen, and bedrooms were pretty spacious.
One very nice feature was a large firepit out front, surrounded by Adirondack chairs, with another picnic table or two off to the side, and additional seats that would've been easy to carry from the porches, if we needed them. Our friends staying here had bonfires every evening, and we joined them for ice cream from across the street, and for roasting marshmallows! I love to light them afire, blow them out, and eat the crust, sometimes re-lighting a few times until I can't resist the molten core. Some of us just melted or just browned the marshmallows. Pro-tips: Get long skewers, and be sure that the fast lighting firewood you use is the kind that is safe for cooking.
By the way, these cabins are right across the street from what became our favorite ice cream, baked goods, and coffee shop, with the lowest prices in town.
Both of the places we stayed in town were close enough to walk here. Everything in West Yellowstone is pretty close to everything else. Look for the huge brass Rustic Bison sculpture out front! read more
