Been here a few times now for open lanes and equipment rentals. This time around I'll be going back to purchase my own bow. The staff here are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I was nervous going in at first since it was my first time trying out Archery and I left feeling nice and relaxed. The instructors are helpful and patient and make sure you have a great time shooting. I'd definitely recommend and will be bringing friends here for the open lanes. I love going and meeting others who are beginning out in archery like myself. I've also met some more experienced shooters and everyone here is so friendly. Great little community. I'll update once I've purchased bows and arrows here, so far only been to the range and lessons

Bruce who works the range is always very helpful. Lanes fill up on the weekends, reserve your lane on their website.

Our 9 year old's first Bullseye. It was his fourth time to the range this summer.

Bruce was there to provide some tips for my son to help his accuracy and it showed on a grouping of shots near the bullseye. This sport my son enjoys very much and the staff and owner have been super helpful!

Hey I'm a total beginner. Just bought a compound bow a week ago. Figured I should take a class to get some coaching from an experienced archer. Wow, in just an hour I felt way more comfortable with the bow, my anchor point, and stance/posture. My instructor helped hone in my sight distance and with his helpful tips we began to narrow my arrow grouping. I'm excited about my progress and what I'm sure will be a lifelong hobbie. I'll be practicing for a while and then looking forward to another class. My instructor, John, I believe, was great. I would recommend him and Wilderness. I've had nothing good experiences with the staff and instructors.

This was our sons first time trying archery and thanks to the two coaches it was a great first try!!! Although I'm terrible with names, I wanted to thank both coaches profusely! (I think the young man was named Bowden [how apropos!].) We were accepted and made to feel included in the lesson. We will definitely be back as my son LOVED it!

I took my grandson here for our first time shooting a bow. Bruce was the Range Master and he instructed my grandson. Bruce did a great job of explaining. My grandson had a wonderful time and wants to go back and do it again. He really wants to shoot more in the bullseye. Thank you Bruce for all the time you spent with him. He really enjoyed learning from you. We will be back again when I get back out to visit my grandson.

Bruce was awesome! Friendly and helpful, A++

I had made a deposit for a blind seat at Natomas Levee Rd/Fifield with the intention of hunting the 23/24 season. Unfortunately, I was beset with a life threatening health issue and couldn't make hunting work with a colostomy bag inside my waders. I made it known to Bruce, our contact with Golden Ram, that I couldn't make the commitment, so I contacted my blind partner, and he said he would take my seat. I then contacted Bruce, with plenty of notice, to let him know I filled my spot, and Bruce assured me in a text message that I would get my deposit in the amount of $584 back. Nick (pres. at Golden Ram), also agreed with me that my deposit should be returned. Over a year later, no refund, and nothing but crickets. Think twice before spending your money at Golden Ram...buyer beware!

There are no guarantees in hunting so it's about putting time in on the ranch and getting away from the main roads by hiking. I'm not sure what these complainers are whining about because there is no favoritism that I've seen in 12 years. The complaint about getting kicked out of a blind is completely false. We've hunted an executive blind and know exactly where this guy hunted. They were just bad duck hunters and made the experience bad for everyone else. All the surrounding blinds in the area are glad they are kicked out.

I'm sorry to give a 1 star review here, but I did not enjoy our time out, and the rest of the group seemed pretty disappointed. Granted you can't control where the geese fly and how much shooting there will be, but part of a guide's job is to make the best of the situation, and I didn't feel Cameron did much to make us feel any better about having a really slow day. As background, we each paid $250, and a total of $1750 for the group for the day. In fact, a lot of things just added to the frustration, the biggest thing being a lack of professionalism. Here's a few of the problems I had: Inviting along other people on the hunt who seemed to be his friends along for fun Cam not wearing camoflauge when trying to call geese in or even trying to get down or behind cover, Profanity--it seemed like every other word was the f word, Calling the hunt off at 10:30am without checking with the group - we spent $1750 for the morning hunt. Seemed abrupt to me like he gave up too early. Not paying attention when geese were heading our way--we had to alert him to flyovers on a few occasions Chatting with people on his cell phone on speakerphone during the hunt, Bossy attitude when it came to putting out and putting away decoys Using a racist term to describe a cormorant

Fact is, most wouldn't even list wetlands... but they are one of the most underrated ecosystems in our state, and vitally important to the health of our fresh and salt water environments. San Pablo Bay is one of the largest of these areas left. As part of the greater San Francisco Bay and Sacramento River Delta complex, this area is critical habitat for hundreds of species of birds, mammals, fish, reptiles, amphibians, and invertbrates.... both those who live here year 'round, and those that migrate to and through this area at different times of the year. San Pablo Bay probably has more living things per acre than just about any other biome in the state. Tidal influences turn muddy areas seemingly devoid of creatures into bustling communities of creatures and food webs. At certain times of the year, wading birds, geese, ducks, and other waterfowl rest here on their migrations. At other times, many birds nest here in the marsh grasses. THis is definitely worth exploring slowly and patiently, and a little research in advance will help you discover more than just mud and grass. Slow down and use your senses... you'll notice more than you thought you would.
