Our salesman wasn't very communicative from the start, but the real issue came when we tried to escalate the situation. After receiving a short, impersonal email saying the car was sold, we asked for the sales manager's contact information to address the situation properly. That's when they completely ghosted us. No response, no explanation, no accountability. It's one thing for a deal to fall through, it's another for management to completely disappear and ignore customers who were ready to buy. I had the worse experience with the service center. On Saturday I took my vehicle into Toyota of Brookfield for tires and they ended up finding other things wrong with the vehicle so they fixed everything and said hey your battery is going bad and should be replaced- I said well that cant be I just had the battery replaced at Wilde Honda in late November 2023, they said then save yourself some money and go back to Wilde Honda and have them replace it since its still under warranty, I said ok. So on Monday I called Wilde Honda twice and never received a call back so on Tuesday morning I went online to complain about not getting a call back and see if I could find someone to tell me if my battery is still under warranty or not. Someone from Wilde Honda finally called me back after about 30 mins and said we have an appointment at 10:30 would you like it, I said yes and I got there at 10:15. When I pulled into the service bay I explained to the service advisor what was going on so he had 2 Russian guys come over to test the battery (they looked as if they were having issues with the battery tester and walked away so I asked the advisor so is my battery bad or what, he said he needs more testing, I said ok how long does that take, he said an hour to hour an half go wait in the waiting area, so I did. After waiting for an hour and half with no updates, I texted the advisor and asked how much longer and stated I can't be waiting here all day. He replied the machine says it will be another hour, I said I can't be here all day, do you have a loaner, he said no. So I went to talk with the advisor face to face and he said you can either stay or come back another day, I said you told me the test was going to be an hour or hour and half I dont understand how a battery test can take so long, he just said it does so then I asked to speak with the service manager and he said its the guy in the middle. So I walked over to where the advisor told me to go and there was an older guy sitting at a desk but I didn't see a name plate like everyone else so when he looked up I asked are you the manager he said yes, I explained my whole problem and asked really how can a battery test take so long when the advisor told me an hour to an hour and half, he said actually it can take up to 4 and half hours, I was stunned and I was like what this is ridiculous, he said either you can leave or go to the waiting area it will be another hour. So I went back to the waiting area and was like 1 hour and I'm outta here and watch now they are for sure going to come back and same my battery is fine. QUESS WHAT HAPPENED...... alittle less than the hour the advisor came into the waiting area not even up to my table and yelled across to me that my battery came back fine, I said hey why don't you come up to me and talk to me and he turned to walk away so I yelled back to him is there a cost for all this he said no I said hey wait I'm not done yet, he turned and looked at me angerly and walked away. so I went up to the cashier area signed a piece of paper and walked out. As I was leaving I wanted to check that they put all my plastic pieces under my hood were put back together like it should and of course it wasnt and I couldn't get my hood open so I asked a sales guy to help me with it since I didn't want to go back to service, the sales guys was awesome and very nice and said he was sorry to hear about my experience with service and I hope you have a good day and enjoy your Honda. So on my way home I stopped at Advanced Auto Parts to have a battery test done and their test came back as bad also. So I am on my own to get another battery because Wilde Honda wont stand behind their products and warranty a bad battery!! NEVER WILL I GO BACK TO WILDE HONDA AGAIN- I even reached out to the GM and GUESS WHAT- no response from him either. Service department treats Women like they are stupid! Older man didn't get his name. Could not answer my simple question and confirm my appointment time. He went on a rant about how "it's like the Dry cleaners, you drop it off, you pick it up later". "We don't have mechanics standing around with a wench waiting to work on your car". We've been told we'd be called back multiple times over the past 4 months, for a few separate issues, and we have NEVER been called back. We finally had to drive the dealership (40min away from us), to actually talk to someone- and the problems are still not solved. Would not buy a car from this place ever again. They gave me a "WE OWE" notice for the repairs, but then totally ghosted me. Customer service asked me "What do you want me to do about it?" when I called. GM responded to my google review with 'Call me" but doesn't return calls. They even lost the owners manual and registration papers when detailing the car before I picked it up. At least my dealer had no clue about the car's features and simply made up a bunch of stuff about it, like he totally saw a connector for trailer hookup under the car, but had to admit there wasn't one when I couldn't find it and asked him to point it out. Or told me there was a rain sensor - there wasn't one, or how to set the lift gate height and so on. Absolutely careless with personal information. I got a car full with a phone book, travel history including owners home address and all the places he or she searched for. It would be responsibility of the previous owner to clear all that out, but fair warning. Here is the good part: while filling my financial information, their 'main' system wasn't running, so they asked me to use the backup system where I could click on the text boxes and see people who have used it before, SSN #s, phones, places of employment and income. We arrived to Wilde Honda in Waukesha and were greeted with the car salesman Lenny who was extremely hostile and unwelcoming from the moment we walked in (after having an appointment set the week prior). He insisted on selling us the car that very moment, without asking for further intel. He consistently brought up that fact that he could have left earlier or sold the car to someone else, simultaneously ensuring that the car would be sold in the next three days if we did not buy on the spot. We felt extremely uncomfortable with his way of doing business and left the establishment to look elsewhere knowing this was not a good dealership to do business with. NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE. I left an initial one star review of my car buying experience here about a year ago and I do not recommend. Communication was lacking and my time was wasted when I made an appointment to replace the cracked windshield when I bought the car. I brought the car to the dealership at the time of the appointment and it wasn't worked on for another 5 hours. I stated my concern with a sales manager at the time, all to be waved off by a free oil change... why would I schedule an oil change with you if it took 5 hours past the appointment time to fix my windshield? Recently, I've been trying to get ahold of someone in the finance department. I'm convinced no one works in the finance department or they don't check their voicemail. Every time I call, I'm always placed on hold and the line hangs up on its self after 4 minutes. I've left voice mails and messages for the past 3 weeks. I even called the sales side of dealership because at least they answer the phone. But even they say all the finance associates are super busy so they leave a message and say that someone will get back to me. Well it's been 3 weeks and I have yet to talk to an actually human being that works in finance. Since buying the car I moved 4 hours away, so going into the dealership isn't an option otherwise this would've been resolved by now. The minivan was slightly misrepresented. The listing made a big deal of blind spot monitoring and lane keeping with stock videos and graphics, etc. However, in reality the minivan had limited functionality in these areas - not a deal breaker but careless representation at best. One thing that was rather weird was that I demanded that I be able to take the vehicle to an independent mechanic for a pre-buy inspection. I was told that since it was a Honda Certified used car I couldn't because this would invalidate the certification. What?!! I told them there was no way I would even come to see it without that permission, so they relented. Even so, every used car site - Cars, CarGurus, CarFax, etc., recommends a pre-buy inspection. I still do not understand Wilde's initial response. It is obvious that Wilde is focused on one thing, and that is to sell a lot of cars. While every business exists to make money, don't expect a lot of warm fuzzies when you go there. The are proud of the fact that they have 350 used cars on their lot, but I wonder if too many things are slipping through the cracks as a result. For example, the listing clearly stated that the car was Honda Certified. However, the finance guy knew nothing about it, and it was only when I told him about it did he do something. Also, he told me that I needed to follow-up with the sales rep (Collin) regarding the paperwork for the warranty. Again, when I asked him, it got done but only because I asked. Finally, and this is really kind of silly, Collin sent me the final settlement amount so I could get a cashiers check from my bank before I made the 2-hour trip to Wilde. The amount he told me was exactly $1 more than the actual total. So, Wilde owes me $1. :-) I think this kind of carelessness stems from trying to sell too many cars. Again, don't expect to get treated like royalty when you go there. They are purely transactional. As a customer you need to be on your toes. read more

I really can't rate the quality of their service. That's because I never got to schedule service. I CAN rate them on their responsiveness. They're automated answering service does tell you how many calls are in front of you (2). I was on hold for 15 minutes and supposedly, there was still one person waiting ahead of me. I finally gave up. I've been getting my CRV serviced by another dealership for the past 5+ years and never had to wait that long to talk to a person. And no, the lack of responsiveness in answering the phone can't be blamed on the Rona at this point. Came to Yelp, which is what i should have done first, and saw they don't have a rating in terms of stars given by customers. Going to look for a different dealership even if I have to drive a longer distance. Dealership consistently responds to user reviews but apparently, they are only meant to placate the customer, since the same type of feedback is given repeatedly. read more

Went to look at a 2013 Hyundai Elantra With 36,000 miles, which is good on the surface, also on the high side of "fair deal" on Edmunds.com to begin with. no listed damage or issues. We get there and do the test drive, and right away the back up camera doesn't work on the vehicle. After pulling into a parking lot down the road to do a little more inspection, and notice the right front fog light is not only broke, but the light itself is dangling by the cords. At this point we are wondering what else they are not disclosing. We get back to the shop, mention these items, and ask what else they are forgetting to mention. The dealer says he is going to talk to the mechanic about the problems, and brings a sheet with a bunch of hidden fees they don't mention, including a "government" fee (not tax, title, license) and an arbitrary "service" fee, each to the tune of $400. So before we even get to the issues, the price has mysteriously risen 4% of whats advertised, not to mention whatever else they weren't disclosing on the vehicle. I understand it's a used vehicle and there will be issues, but be up front about them. The sales manager was less than helpful, only explaining just that it's used and salesplaning the hidden fees. Very shady vibe from the whole shop. Avoid this place!!! read more

WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wilde Honda sold us a used police car and didn't tell us! We never would have purchased the car had we known. We realized the morning after we bought the car. It had frosted overnight and the frost had actually hightlighted the ghosted letters on the sides of the car. It was a police car for Albany, Minnesota, isn't that special? Then it gets even better! After further inspecting the car, a whole bunch of things we found to be missing or damaged. The rear door locks were missing. I had asked the sales manager about the missing locks and we were blatantly lied to and told it was a "child safety" feature. I thought it was odd, but who would think the sales manager is going to lie about that? They were removed because it was a police car! They actually sold us a car that was MISSING the third brake light. MISSING! A brake light! Then we discovered a wiring harness hanging down in the back. Nothing covering the exposed conductors, and we have no idea what the wiring is for. There was also a drain tube hanging down from who knows where. At this point I contacted the salesman, "T". He didn't even offer an apology, just that he would call on Monday. There is a funky smell in the car, "T" guaranteed an ozone treatment would take care of it. It DIDN'T! We had already bought the car before finding this out. :( The total to repair the brake light and rear door locks was $1034. Wilde did approve for these repairs to be made. However, a couple of days passed and I discovered more missing parts. This time, it was trunk parts. The trunk lights don't work. There is a liner type thing that goes under the trunk to protect the brake light wires. There was also a piece of the trunk liner missing called a rear deck under panel SILENCER. I got a hold of the guy who had approved the first estimate. We sent off a revised estimate. He claimed that the trunk parts were not going to be covered because they are cosmetic. Something that prevents damage to wires is NOT cosmetic. Something that deadens road noise is NOT cosmetic. My husband and I had to pay out of our own pocket to get those parts installed to a tune of $593.82. Not cool Wilde Honda. On top of it, Eugene Wade, the guy who was supposed to be "helping" me, never returned a phone call or an email. The only way I was ever able to talk to him is if he happened to answer his phone, adding another level of frustration that was totally unnecessary. I would love to know how this car passed inspection. It was either never inspected, or the service department there is garbage. read more

The used car sales manager Christopher, forged my 18yr old daughters restricted signiture, lied about the price, after a deposit was paid and the purchase order signed increased the price by 40%; My daughter was isolated from her two friends one of witch purchased a car and was forced to get all his supporting documents, but the ate alive our 18yr old to push a fraudulent loan through; She's still not received all the financing paperwork, Christopher "has a special relationship with his lender, (Exeter Finance) to push all deals through" with an 18yr old with NO DOCS to prove income and 500 credit score, WITHOUT FULL DISCLOSURE, we still have yet to receive the complete finance paperwork 8 days after the sale! the day of the sale Christopher promised to email the completed paperwork, (NEVER received paperwork) then promised to deliver on a zip drive; the file only had parts of the service agreement, NO finance paperwork; made several phone calls, stopped in persona to the dealer and picked up the deal bag and come to find out, four blank pages in the deal bag for financing!!!!!!! who in the heck is paying $66,000 for a 2022 used honda civic w/sticker of $24k, after the signature was illegally modified, no doc loan for 18 w/ no history or verification of employment and 500 score, not fully disclosed to this day??????? next Step the Attorney General of WI, DFI, FTC for securities fraud as this was intended to be a trust transaction through special deposit and Christoper was told that on several occasions and disregard and disrespected our 18yr old at EVERY turn!!!!!! where's the Settlement of Account or the Statement on Account??? The finance person is condescending and lacks all customer service skills. He's in the wrong business. He told us "we're doing you a favor...". I realize some people may have had bad experiences but I have never had a poor experience at Wilde Honda Service which is why I keep coming back. I have had my Acura TL Type S serviced here many times for oil changes, radiator flush, transmission flush and more recently, new radiator, timing belt, tie rods and now A-Arm replacement. I also recently purchased summer tires here. I had a hiccup with that but as my good friend Scott N would say, "how did they recover/fix it?" So how did the service department fixed it? They fixed it quickly and without hesitation which is why I keep bringing my Acura back here. Acura is essentially a Honda and servicing it here at times has saved me about 50% from Acura of Brookfield. Case in point, Acura of Brookfield quoted me over $500 for my front Brembo pads. Wilde Honda quoted me $300. They have 17 bays at this Honda dealership and recently expanded to accommodate more cars. Why is this important? It is about getting your car in and out so you are not out of a vehicle. They have plenty of service adviser and the garage door opens as soon as I pull up for me to enter and I'm greeted within seconds if not less than a minute by a service adviser to get me into the system and out. Shuttle service and loaners are available. Al Dilger was my service advisor and this time Devin Jenkins took care of me. Each time, a call to tell me the diagnosis, estimate and time it will take. Today, my car was in at 9 am and I received a call at 1:15 telling me my car is done. Devin greeted me within a few seconds of me getting out of my car, took all my information quickly and was out within 10 minutes. read more

I have a recall on my Honda, so I set up an appointment online and then called the service department to find out how long I would be without my car. I was told that I would find out when I bring the car in. I pushed for more clarification since I need to plan on being without the car and the service rep HUNG UP on me. Nope, I got a response back from a different department, saying they would get it to a manager. Nope again... Instead, I heard back from a salesman, offering to get me a deal on a car. We have a Honda Pilot that unfortunately seems to have every recall happening. You get a card and schedule service months (like 6 months) in advance. When we tried to call about a service date we were unable to reach the business. We were routed to another country...then given a direct line (supposedly) to someone at Wilde. Left a dozen voicemails and nobody responded. We will never buy a Honda again and will definitely never buy from Wilde! Great sales department, slow service department. I bought a new car from here in 2021, and came with a great service package to cover general maintenance for the first maybe 50,000 miles. Every 6 months or so, I make an appointment to bring my car in for an oil change, etc. I show up 10-15 minutes early, and every time I have brought my car in, they don't start looking at my car until maybe 45 minutes after I my appointment time. I am usually there over 1.5 hours. They do not honor appointment times and seem to just take whatever cars show up first. But they have a nice waiting area. read more

We bought a used car from this dealership on 12/28/23, and it was negotiated that a second key fob would be provided for the vehicle. Since then, communication and follow through has been very poor, and we have gotten the runaround instead of the key fob we were promised. I called Wilde Honda in Waukesha about a Warranty Extension on the AC Compressor on my 2016 Honda Civic. I asked multiple times before I made the appointment if there would be any charges for the diagnostics and service. The person on the phone said they checked with the service department and there would not be any charges for this Warranty Extension. My appointment was this morning at 7am. When I pulled in the employee checking me in was very rude to me right away. He then said I had to sign for a $165 dollar diagnostics charge. I explained to him what they told me over the phone and he was very rude to me and said they would not touch my car if I didn't sign his piece of paper. Starter went out on our '03 Pilot, so we had it towed to Wilde. My parents had had previous work done there years ago and we hadn't had a problem...until THIS nightmare of a 4 day process. We were quoted almost $1,100 dollars for an aftermarket starter install. Even someone who doesn't know cars very well (like myself) knows that that is nothing less than price-gouging. Sure enough, called another local shop who quoted us at HALF that rate. So we asked them to send their tow over to pick up the vehicle. They recommended calling the dealer first to make sure there wasn't an invoice for the diagnostic. I called the dealership and (when I could finally get a person on the phone) told them we'd be sending a tow and asked if we had any invoices. They said no, so we called the other shop and sent the tow. I work third shift so I finally went to sleep, only to wake up to voicemails from the tow driver saying they had refused to release the vehicle. The invoice that we supposedly didn't have according to their own reps? Yeah, they decided to charge us $73 for the diagnostic (which, apparently, isn't even the full amount they USUALLY charge just to look at your car). After making more calls and trying to figure out what was going on with our family vehicle, I had to call it a day since nobody would call me back. Day 4 of being car-less began with me calling at when the shop opened. I was disconnected once, talked to another rep, and finally was able to get to the service department. I was helped by a woman named Frankie who, quite frankly, was the one beam of sunlight in this entire debacle. After discovering what the invoice was for, some back and forth about the cost of the diagnostic, I was finally able to get a link to pay the invoice online (mind you, I've been doing this entire thing via phone since my family and I needed to use a borrowed car to get home), because apparently they don't take payments via phone due to the new management who bought this place out. The invoice gets paid. And I never want to do this again. Again, the one bright side to this entire experience was the CSR Frankie, who repeatedly empathized with me via phone and tried her best to do what she could to help me out... But whoever actually runs this business now is not only money-hungry but also completely tone-deaf to the customer experience. I will never go back to Wilde again. Hector Soto was the salesman and he did nothing other than run numbers between me and the sales manager and have me look at the green checks on the car facts report, He failed to do anything to follow up on the sale, like finding a key for the wheels locks (which is still an outstanding issue and haven't received a response back from him or Ali, the sales manager). Maybe revert back to a live person. The finance person I dealt with to close the deal (name started with a J) was good to deal with and actually offered customer service. The vehicle I bought was great, too bad it wasn't offered at Wilde Toyota. I leased a 2nd vehicle from Wilde last year. I was asked if I wanted the seat protection Scotch Guarded , an addtional $800, he said he highly recommeneded it as he spilled his coffee daily on seats and it wiped right off with a wet cloth. I included it , but it was never done. So I was screwed out of $800. I had bought food and drink for the homeless, one of the sodas spilledon my front seat and it never came off , I had to bring my car in to have it detailed. Another failure in my search to find a Honda dealership that can perform the basics of an oil change. I emailed Wilde Honda about this matter and never received a response. My oil change was completed without issue in a short amount of time. A couple days later, my windshield washer was wonky. I thought maybe the squirters were misaligned. Nope, the washer fluid tank was empty. On the services rendered receipt, the washer fluid was noted as being "full." So, now I'm wondering if any of the other services were actually completed and fluids checked (I did ask that them not to check my air filter as I had just changed it). So, they lied about checking the fluids or....? For the record, the service rep was excellent, both personable and knowlegeable. I am in the market for a new car, but I may buy a Toyota. read more

Very Nice people and I did buy a car- prompt customer service and they worked very hard to show me all the cars I wanted to see and be sure I was happy with my first car purchase HOWEVER it would have been nice if my salesman did not CONSTANTLY remind me how much of his time I took up today. I was driving along, heading back to Madison when suddenly my heat shield fell! While waiting for a tow, I called to see if they could get me in to quickly fix this. It was no problem! I was helped by a gentleman, I didn't get his name. He made me feel sure that they could make an easy fix. It took around 10 mins until I was back on the road, and it was free of charge. Wilde Honda completed $3,670.93 of repairs to my 2019 Honda Pilot without any signed or verbal authorization. The General Manager Jim Reifenrath has not been responsive. I have filed a complaint with the State of Wisconsin. I'm also considering legal action! read more

If you sell a 2012 Honda Civic for 10k, it should not have rust on the doors. If it has rust on the doors, ensure that it doesnt have all prior history up to that point in random changing cities in Illinois. If it does have rust and was previously owned in random cities in Illinois, please ensure that you don't only offer 400 dollars for customers trade in. If you accidentally do all the above, please make sure the sales conversations arent pushy. If you accidentally do that, please ensure not to call the manager over as the customer would like to leave. Please follow this work instruction carefully. read more

I was looking for a 2023 Honda Ridgeline RTL-E. I went to the Honda website, did the build I wanted and Honda showed Wilde as having one in stock. I used the contact form and received a reply from Dylan within an hour and he let me know the truck was in-transit and not on the lot yet. Not a problem, I can wait a few days. I went in the next day to work out the specifics. I was handed off by Dylan to salesman Chris. Chris checked my trade and took some initial information. I then told him I did not want any packages, ceramic coating, or interior protection. I wanted to add door edge protectors and the upgraded black wheels only. He stepped away for a few minutes and came back telling me the truck had the "performance package" installed at the factory and I could take that or wait till November for a custom order. The statement above is where things collapsed. Honda does not install option packages at the factory (I confirmed this with a contact at Honda North America). When I told Chris this, he claimed they just started doing it this year. Yeah, nothing builds trust in a business transaction like having someone lie to your face. This is going to be my third new Honda, and while I love the vehicles and like the company, their dealer network is terrible. I can't recommend any of the Honda dealerships I've dealt with as they have all turned out to be completely scummy. Fortunately in this case they showed their true colors early in the process. I purchased a new Pilot in March, over $44,000, i did not have any problems with the sales dept. but i called this week for a flat tire to get repaired under warranty. ( purchased the extra warranty for tires and wheels as they are expensive wheels and tires). The service said they could get me in on the following week!! I explained that we were going camping next Wednesday and i bought the Pilot to pull the camper so i would need to get it in in the next few days. They said they would call back, which they never have, if you want a Honda where they will take care of you i the service end do not buy here. Jim W. Waukesha, WI read more
