I'm 63 & just got my first tattoo. I chose Wild Zero & Eric on a recommendation. It was a great experience! I live 1 1/2 hours away. Eric was willing to work with me via email for the initial consult to avoid me driving over twice. The front desk staff was always very friendly whether on the phone or in person the day of my tattoo. Eric had done a drawing from a photo of a tattoo that I had sent him. It was an tribal drummer / kokopelli figure. He did an excellent job! Exactly like the picture I sent him. He was totally cool & made me feel comfortable knowing it was my first tattoo. LOVE the exterior and even the design and decor within the shop but staff is not the friendliest. Brought my cousin here for a small Morse code tattoo and everybody was rude about it. We were made to feel like that was not as important as a tattoo that would've been a large, custom piece of art, and it felt like we were wasting his time at least that's how he acted. I went to Wild Zero get my tongue pierced 2 days ago & the piercer pierced it too close to the tip of my tongue. (I told her I thought it was too close to the tip of my tongue before she even pierced it but she insisted that it wasn't). I then called 2 days later (today) & found out she was not working today so I couldn't come in to have her look at it cause I was having problems with it. (The bar was way too long & the balls on the end were huge!!) So the only thing causing me major discomfort (aside from the piercing itself) was the ring. Also, I know the ring is supposed to be longer for swelling but this one was huge & mine didn't even swell to fill half of it! Everyone I know that has their tongue pierced told me their bar was not that big. Since the piercer wasn't working today , I visited a more local tattoo & piercing studio for them to look at it. EVERY. SINGLE. Artist & piercer working informed me it was extremely too close to the tip of my tongue & the bar was way too big. They recommended that I take it out right then and there and let the piercing heal up. I then called Wild Zero Studios back and they had the woman who pierced my tongue call me since she was off work today. When she called & after I explained to her what had happened, she told me that the piercing was not too close to the tip of my tongue & that she "stood by her work" & "she knows she did an excellent job on the piercing" so she wouldn't offer me any type of refund or re-pierce it for me. She was very rude & I will never go back again. So basically I paid $55 to be in major discomfort & have my tongue pierced wrong for a day & a half 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

I'm from Canada and was looking to get more work done. Wild Zero was the ONE AND ONLY place I would trust to get my work done. First, I want to say that Josh's work is quality. Myself & two friends walked-in, which I know is bad tattoo etiquette, with only a hazy idea of what we wanted & Josh turned it into something even better. I do recommend his work to anyone who is planning to go here. Josh himself was the usual silent tattoo artist, nothing rude but not friendly either. The girl at the desk was relatively clueless for someone who is supposed to be the first face of their business & she acted like we were a nuisance even though the shop was completely dead besides us. Their pricing is also more expensive than even what I would have paid at home in Chicago, which is kind of ridiculous since they are a small college town in the middle of nowhere. Overall I can recommend Josh's skill with confidence, but this wouldn't be my kind of place to return for larger projects. read more

I got my first tattoo at another Morgantown shop and was very disappointed with the piece and service. I knew that for my next pieces I had to find another establishment. I asked around and only heard glowing recommendations about the work done at Wild Zero. Three tattoos later, and it's the only place I will ever tell anyone to go. Josh was the artist on my first two pieces at Wild Zero. He took my vague ideas of what I wanted and turned them into beautiful art. He didn't hesitate to tell me what would and wouldn't work well, but never with any condescension, which I so greatly appreciated. I would recommend Josh to anyone looking for quality work--friends and strangers are constantly complimenting my ink--but I wouldn't recommend him if you're looking for the most talkative tattoo experience. I enjoy chatting with and getting to know the people around me, especially if I'm sitting in the chair with them for two or more hours. Josh is the silent type, and won't give you much to work with as far as conversation goes. If that doesn't bother you, and/or if you're looking for great work, give him a call immediately. Eric did my most recent work and it has been my best tattoo experience to date. He did an amazing job of drawing up exactly what I wanted, and worked with me to get the minor details exactly right. We talked and laughed the entire time, and the piece turned out wonderfully. It's easily my favorite of my four tattoos, and I know that I'll only be going to Eric for my work from now on. Customer service overall is great. They do really well with handling consults and appointments, all while having a great time. I came here today for a naval piercing and they couldn't have done a better job. It was a walk in and they took me in within 15 mins. The woman I had was named Jordyan and she made me feel very comfortable and made the whole process quick and easy. She was very friendly, knowledgeable and empathetic of the fact that I get nauseous easily. The whole process took no longer than 15 mins and she let me lay down with a soda until I was feeling well enough to get up. The place was very clean, professional and relaxing. The employees are all very nice and professional as well. They made me feel at home and I love the standard naval ring that was used for my piercing. I could not recommend this place more. read more

My sister turned 30 this weekend and we wanted to do something special and get our first tattoos together. I am SO glad we went to Wild Zero. I was told by Morgantown locals that this place was the best when I was looking around for an artist. And they were right! I am so glad I went to Wild Zero. They are amazing artists, very professional, and straight-forward about what you want and their opinion. Pricing is fair ... if you're looking for cheap you won't get this kind of quality. The problem with Wild Zero is that the staff steers you to what they prefer v. what you really want. Another disgruntled customer summed it up best by saying, "The attitude of the artists there is that your body is THEIR canvas, not your own." For people who like the "artsy" scene and want to be guided towards tattoos they don't really want this is the place. To their credit the tattoos are good quality with decent color and are not single needle. But the cost, the attitude and the lack of desire to tattoo what people want makes the place unbearable boorish and pretentious in nature. read more
