Fun, creative, unique, and delicious treat!!! Love the windows to see the machinery, very clean environment. The staff is super fast and friendly. Wild Scoops is a definite must when in town! read more

Really creative flavors using ingredients native to Alaska. My personal favorite is the Spruce Tip flavor. They also have a cookbook for sale telling you how to make their ice creams, which is awesome. I prefer this location, as it's got a wider selection. They also have pints you can buy to take home. read more

I want to start by saying I'm generally not a big ice cream fan. That being said, Wild Scoops is my exception. Of all of the flavors I've tried, none have been misses, with my favorite being the Thai tea ice cream they sometimes have. It's so smooth, and tastes just like a glass of Thai iced tea. The cookies and cream is my usual go to when they don't have the Thai tea, and it's just as good. The cookie pieces are mixed perfectly into the ice cream- not soggy and not too crunchy. The service here is always very good, even when they're super busy, which happens a lot. I've never had a bad experience here, even when I was probably the 100th person they've had to deal with in an hour, I was still treated like I was the 1st. The only thing I would even really want to change is the seating. There is indoor seating- but like I said, they are often very busy, so that seating is taken up fast. There is some outdoor seating, but that's really weather dependent and if they're super busy, not guaranteed to be available. It's a double edged sword, as while it would be nice to sit and eat, im happy for them that they're so popular! I would 100% recommend Wild Scoops if you're visiting anchorage, or if you live here and just like something sweet. read more

First time having their ice cream and it is wonderful. I appreciate their help in picking based on dietary needs (gluten-free for me.) I was able to sample one before making a choice. What made it even better is that they can so "half" scoop portions. So I was able to have the Off Trail Chocolate (with flourless brownie) plus Snowberry. Next visit might have me getting a flight of ice cream to share. read more

I am absolutely thrilled that they added drinking chocolate floats to their menu. This is absolutely fantastic and will definitely get me coming back more often. Honestly one of the best things I've tasted in the last few months. If you like chocolate this is a MUST try! Can you tell I like chocolate? ;) I put ice cream called something like Hygge in it and it was perfect. read more

They're a little crazy about COVID stuff but they make the best vegan ice cream on the planet so we'll let it slide ;)

Sample the Thai tea ice cream- it's fantastic! Checked them out at a city cleanup and had. Never tried that flavor- I'm drooling thinking about it. read more

Best ice cream in Anchorage. Local business. Expensive but great. Downtown location is always busy. Midtown is not ever busy. Both locations close for the Month of November except for carry out a couple days before Thanksgiving at the midtown location. read more

Excellent ice cream and cute merch. Would love it if they had a way to order online or at a kiosk- I think it would make the line shorter.

Wonderfully wild flavors like "Spruce Tip", "Reddest Raspberry" or my personal favorite... "Rhubarb" are always on their list of unique and revolving ice cream flavors. Their homemade waffle cones are the perfect addition to this locally sourced sweet treat! One of my favorite dessert spots. Both of their locations are unique and delicious. read more

And so we have a Wild Scoops in midtown now. They have actually taken over and setup shop at the exact location where Modern Dwellers Chocolate Lounge used to be at(sad to see that they closed down). Today was their grand opening and heading back from Costco after some grocery shopping we suddenly remembered that they were opening today. They actually had a line and we had to wait for about 10-20 minutes before getting to the counter and getting our ice cream. All the usual wild scoops flavors. My wife tried the Redoubts revenge and it actually had a small spicy kick to it-it was awesome. I had two scoops - Yukon Gold and The Pretty Planet : loved them both. This space is bigger than their downtown location with ample seating and they have a test kitchen here too. If you support local and love ice cream, Wild scoops is a must visit - you won't be disappointed. Awesome flavors, great service and reasonable prices - of course 5 starts read more

It's VERY difficult to beat Wild Scoops if you're looking for the best dessert in town. In fact, I haven't encountered a single establishment that's been able to do that yet. Unique flavors, friendly service, as local as local can be. It's pricey, but I always feel good about spending my money here. Five stars! read more

Very good service and very good ice cream. Only thing was it was quite pricy. Would go back though.

This is a wonderful ice cream spot! There was a line of 10-15 when my family came around 9 Wednesday but we got to the front in just a few minutes. The samples I had were wonderfully creamy and not overly sweet- I think it was vanilla, cookies and creme, Sitka swirl, and spruce tips. The scoopers were nice people and didn't mind that me and my family wanted to try a few different flavors. I went with a scoop of Sitka Swirl for $3 in a cup. I thought that was a great price for a scoop of quality ice cream. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because of the disappointing difference between sample and actual product. In the sample I got lots of the salted caramel swirl and it tasted divine. The scoop I bought only had the swirl for 2 bites at most and then it was just sweet cream. Good sweet cream nonetheless, but the swirl I was so excited for (had gotten the flavor for!) was barely there. Summary: - very popular place! - generally great ice cream from what I can tell, only $3 a scoop! - Sitka Swirl is great but could definitely do with more salted caramel swirl. My scoop only had a couple bites of the swirl before it became just sweet cream. read more

Not so much to choose from but the ice cream was good. No wonder there's a long queue!

Coming from an non-ice cream lover, this place is amazing! Highly recommend the baked Alaska fireweed ice cream cone. Fireweed has a subtle floral/citrus flavor akin to pomegranate, only much milder. Their waffle cones are the best I've ever had and aren't merely a vessel to hold the ice cream. read more

Best waffle cone ever. Fast service. Interesting flavors. Definitely best ice cream in Alaska and would give most places I've been to a run for their money (I can think of a couple exceptions) yum!! read more

Baked Alaska waffle cone is the way to go lol. Local ice cream shop specializes in crafting Ice cream with local ingredients. Love Wild Scoops - ice cream is great and they use local ingredients which I love. The waffle cones are super tasty and the baked Alaska is a good treat once in a while. The ice cream is mixed with a ton of the Mix-ins, which is amazing. read more

Our new favorite ice cream shop! I had the coffee and Redoubts Revenge (chocolate ice cream with cinnamon and cayenne) on one of their house made waffle cones. Everything was delicious, including the cone. Expect to wait in line, as the word on this place is out. read more

Pricey, but oh so good! We got Wild Blueberry, White Raven & Fireweed and ALL were delicious!

Pretty good flavors. They have different flavor combos which is fun because it's not just your average vanilla, strawberry and chocolate. (Still some of the best flavors) I got the sunshine one, it's a vanilla base with a lemon curd and snickerdoodle bits. It was a great favor combo and a one scoop sugar cone was the perfect size. read more

Always worth the wait in line. Tried the Apple Cider Donut cone and it didn't disappoint. Wonderful flavor and chunks of Kobuk donuts. Perfect for a fall day . Service is great and I love the locally sourced ingredients. read more

Birch vegan ice cream. I cannot even begin to describe how delicious this was. A woodsy caramel with an umami finish. Rhubarb crumble...sweet tart happiness. Vegan ice cream sandwich with perfect ratio of cookie to cream...soft enough not to break your teeth, and vegan coconut based chocolate ice cream. It's creative and fun and worth it in every wait. You can take home quarts too if you want to share or indulge later!!!! Love this ice cream.... read more

This place is amazing. Original flavors, and very rich ice cream. If you're visiting or just passing through they are definitely worth a stop! read more

Seriously so underwhelming, I really don't get the insane love on here from yelp. I assume it's mostly tourists leaving the 5-star reviews and there is some peer pressure to rate a place with 5 stars as 5 stars. I gave it another try as Anchorage local and the flavor you get and the price for the small portion. There are much better options in town. read more

Was super excited to check out Wild Scoops. I tried the puppy chow in a single scoop it sounded so good! When I went to pay I got something around the size of my AirPods Pro. The ice cream did not go over the top of the container, however the little I got was tasty. There are plenty of other local places who do just a good of job and don't give baby scoops. read more

Must stop here for ice cream if you're in town. Even if it's below zero outside and snowing! Definitely worth it.

For $8, you can't beat the sampler flight. Get 2 that you KNOW you'll like, then be adventurous and get 2 that you MIGHT like. I loved all 4 of the flavors I got. Totally worth the visit! Fruity Pebbles - tastes like ice cream made from your cereal milk. Sitka Swirl - is all kinds of caramel goodness. Tart Rhubarb - tastes like a sour patch kid. Moose's Tooth Root Beer - tastes like... well, root beer. read more

Best icecream I have ever had! Love the local flavors and the staff is amazing and friendly!

Decent and definitely better than toscanini's in boston. I don't think it's as good as Woohoo though. That place is true legend.

I tried this place for the first time today. I loved it! The branding is super cute and simple, you can see the employees prepping ingredients and making fresh batches of ice cream, and the servers who scoop the ice cream are super kind and professional and patient. I tried a bunch of flavors and they made me feel more than welcome. So the flavors. There are unique flavors and also classic flavors with a unique, Alaskan twist. Everyone I tried was awesome. And don't be put off by a flavor being vegan if that is not your jam. They are AMAZING regardless. I ended up getting Fireweed and fruity pebbles. They were awesome, but all of them were. Truly. And I must say, I am not a huge fan of waffles cones usually but my sister insisted I get one and she was so right. They are soooooo fresh and soft and subtly chewy in a perfect way. Anyway. This place is awesome. I would say, what Moose's Tooth is the Pizza, Wild Scoops is to ice cream! read more

I like to try new flavors for ice cream and they have a wide variety. They let you try before ordering which helps you choose easily. They didn't have sugar free options and that would be great for some of us that sugar is a health problem. read more

Ice cream is so tasty and affordable! The staff are super welcoming and friendly. Best ice cream compared to cold stone and marble slab.

Best ice cream in the ice cream capital, Anchorage! Had their standard chocolate, and it's one of the top 3 scoops I've ever had. Much better than Baskin Robbins. Don't miss it. read more

I am scared because somehow this company knew everything I ever wanted in an ice cream cone. The only way they could ever know this is if the government gave them my file. The favor: sunshine club, has the perfect snickerdoodle:sweet cream:lemon curd ratio that it must have taken decades of mathematicians and lawyers to create this mouth experience, taste journey. I will forever be changed by this creamy ice as I will try to recreate it for those in my homeland. And like others before me have said... the waffle cone should be the only vessel of transportation it is that good. read more
