It's not that fair to give a 1-star rating to the whole salon, but I can't give it anything else. From the first moment, they were disorganized and confused. It was my first time in the salon, and I had made my appointment after reading reviews. I didn't know the name of my stylist, as we had never met before, and the lady at the front seemed to be bothered by having to look through the appointment books to find my appointment. Fast forward to my appointment with Stephanie. She doesn't introduce herself, she doesn't clean up the gobs of blonde hair under the chair before asking me to sit, and she doesn't listen. I tell her I'm there because I was told by a friend that I had a "mom-cut". I needed a fresher look, and was willing to get something high maintenance. She gives me a super frumpy trim, and tells me: "It shouldn't be so awkward once it grows out a bit." Excuse me? You are charging me $40 for a cut that even you think is awkward? She had no actual fashion or beauty consultant skills, and should be charging $12 a cut. Never again. I'm going to have to call someone else to repair this awful cut. I didn't want to lose 4 inches off of my hair just to get something fresh, but it looks like I'm going to have to in order to repair this. read more

Victoria does my hair and she better never leave because I never want anyone else to touch it. When I first came in to Wild Iris salon, it was a cute place that made me feel very comfortable. Victoria offered to bring me and my mom coffee! Then, I told Victoria that I was struggling with my hair being too dry and not growing well and I had weird bang situations. She was straight with me and said I needed to stop over working my hair and using the wrong products and over washing it. I decided to trust her and now, after religiously following what she told me, my hair is full, soft, beautiful and growing better then it ever has! I would trust Victoria with anything. This doesn't even mention the skill with which she colors and cuts my hair. My sister came in and wanted a crazy color style with rainbow colors and instead of just doing what my sister wanted and not caring if it looked good or not, she gave my sister another option that seriously turned out amazing and still made my sister extremely happy. It is true that you need cash when you come in, but every time I forget to bring cash Victoria lets me run over to the bank and come back to pay her. I would recommend Victoria and Wild Iris Salon to anyone. read more

There are a lot of salons in Parker and I have tried many, yet Wild Iris was the one salon that has long term, consistent hairstylists as well as provides consistent hair cuts, color, highlights, etc. time after time. Whether it be the products they use on my hair, the appearance of the salon, the friendly service from whomever helps me, or the willingness of Monica, the owner to get me comfortable before I am seated in the stylists chair, all are top notch. There are many stylists here at Wild Iris, yet Kim McGowan is the stylist I have gone to for many years here. Not because she is available on my time schedule, but because she really cares how my haircut will work for my lifestyle and if I can easily recreate the style after I leave the salon. Kim's experience and friendliness has definitely made me a life long customer. She exemplifies what the salon stands for to service the customers of Parker and the surrounding areas. I have lived in Colorado for over 3 years- and while I tried to find a great hair stylist here, I was going back to my hometown for cuts and color, as the first salons I went to did a horrible number on my hair. I work in Parker and found wild iris. My stylist's name was Hilary. She had an amazing personality. I am very particular about how I want my hair done- I have long fine blonde hair-that I like to make platinum. Hilary listened to what I wanted and did everything I wanted, including making me a platinum blonde without killing my hair (unlike other salons). I don't think I've ever had anyone do such an excellent job in my hair. I was in love and extremely happy when I left! If you are going to Wild Iris, I recommend Hilary- as she will listen to what you want and also advise you!! read more

While visiting Parker, I decided to get my kids' hair trimmed up for Easter. My daughter, 6, wanted a couple of inches cut off of her longer hair. My son, 9, just wanted a trim. We walked into the Wild Iris Salon after realizing that the line at Great Clips was well over an hour long. Instantly, the atmosphere and friendliness at Wild Iris was wonderful. Michele Sandoval was open and willing to work on my 2 children. She was sweet and professional. She washed, cut and styled my daughter's hair into an absolutely wonderful cut. And, my daughter loved her! My son's hair was hand trimmed into a nice shape and he was happy, too. I wish Wild Iris and Michele were in Santa Fe! read more

Every time I'm out in public, someone asks me where I get my hair done. I've had people ask me to roll my car window down to ask, and even the employees at drive-thru windows give me compliments! There's only one place and person I've trusted with my locks and that's Monica Busick and Wild Iris Salon. No one does color better than Monica. She knows her products and how it will react to my highlights and lowlights. We can make subtle changes or big ones, and I always have gorgeous hair when I leave. Hilary is awesome!! I've recently been experiencing some pretty drastic hair loss, so hoped that a new 'do would help hide it. She not only gave me an amazing short cut that's easy to style and maintain, but she was very kind and empathetic when listening to my stress about the hair loss. And rather then push products on me, she made some great recommendations, and even offered to help if I wasn't able to style my hair in a way I liked. Kim McGowan is a master at hair extensions. My hair is very thin and I have highlights and lowlights, she creates very small strands, mixing color in each piece, they are virtually undetectable, and that is not an exaggeration. The real proof came when I was talking to a client who was a hairdresser about extensions, I had to show her that I had them, she couldn't tell. The pricing is competitive, and worth every penny, she's amazing. She has several locations in Denver, definitely worth seeking her out. read more

Finding a great stylist is the hardest thing about moving for me. I recently moved to Parker and was down right petrified! I had my makeup done here for my wedding and even though it took some adjusting I was happy with the way it came out. I personally had a positive experience, however, my bridesmaids weren't as impressed with their makeup, stating the stylist didn't listen to what they asked for, and ended up redoing it themselves. Victoria!! Aka MIRACLE WORKER!! Very knowledgeable on hair AND makeup. I felt like a princess when I was done with my appointment. I had purple removed from my hair (long story short) I ended up with a light green tint in my hair (this was all done somewhere else) but this is what Victoria had to work with and she turned it into a gorgeous balayage!
