I just started having my haircut at this business. So far, so good! Lisa has been great to work with. I love her attention to detail and personable nature. I love that Curl Up N Dye is a local business and not that far from my home. Curl Up N Dye is located just off I-25 at the Castle Pines Pkwy exit. It's in a shopping center and wedged into a corner next to an abandoned grocery store. The interior of Curl Up N Dye is welcoming and decorated nicely. I like that there is usually a receptionist at the front desk. I also love that the prices are very reasonable. I will continue to get my haircut at this business. Thumbs up for Curl N Dye. I had called & asked about partial highlights @ $175. They claimed they had good pricing. This was about standard. The stylist said she could blend with the color no mention of the price until 4 hours later & check out at $225 plus. A $20! Sticker shock with no advance warning. On top of that to maintain the color I would need to go back In 4 weeks. Never going back for price gouging without consideration of their customer. If you have curly hair stay away! I was referred to this establishment because I have very curly hair and I wanted it slightly trimmed and dyed. Becky the owner was there to receive me, we did our consult and she went into action. She received a call from her daughter in high school and began to argue back and forth she'd cut my hair - Worst haircut I have had since I was maybe in my 20's now in my 60s. She told me I should thin my hair out a little bit because it was pretty full, she took a huge chunk out of the back of my hair approximately 4 inches long and left it blank underneath! She did not bother to blend the rest of the back to match. She just left it like that. It has taken me at least four years to get it that long... and now I start again, and in addition to that I now have to have someone else "re-cut" it for "maybe" a decent look! The color was fair in the front and slightly into the sides, but as you got to the back it was just globs of dye placed no rhyme or reason. Yes, It's a MESS! A professional would NOT have done this to a new customer nor a repeat unless they were taking their anger out on their hair!! Very unhappy with this Owner/stylist and establishment. No way would I suggest you use Becky for your curly hair, go to someone that actually knowledge on how to cut curly hair!! Vibe was a horrible experience and I even tipper her... I would never tell you that any cut you get here will be bad. I WILL tell you that when I got a botched cut here on 2/24/24, the stylist Lisa, and more importantly the owner Becky, both lacked the interpersonal skills and professional integrity to tell me to my face. I paid $40 for a lop-sided cut and bad styling to cover up the fact that Lisa didn't part my hair or ask how much I wanted off before cutting it. They should have apologized and offered to fix it, but instead they rushed me out the door without showing me the back of my head or asking if I even liked my hair. Becky gave me a discount to assuage her guilt, though. I wouldn't recommend using this salon unless you are prepared to pay for 2 haircuts. read more

Just had my third haircut at Curl Up. Young woman who cut my hair the first two times up and moved to Texas. (Poor thing) so I switched to Becky who owns the place. Pretty confident she's not going anywhere. Wish I started with her! She did a great job and she's very personable. I had to wait about 10 minutes because she was finishing up with a woman getting some exotic hair treatment. She apologized numerous times and insisted I have a beverage while I wait. Easy parking and the salon is very clean. It has none of that weird hair coloring smell. If you're a guy looking to get an excellent haircut at a very reasonable price and don't want to feel out of place in a salon I highly recommend Curl Up With Becky. After bringing in a photo of the haircut my son wanted and offering to let the stylist keep the picture on hand for reference, she refused and stated that she "had it." She in fact did not had it. She absolutely butchered my son's curly hair in a style that was nothing close to the picture, and cut it in a way that actually made his hair look thinner and worse than when it was uncut. If you have anything but straight hair, DO NOT use this salon. read more

Occasionally, I decide to buy a box of color vs paying for a professional. I usually learn my lesson & swear not to do it again until I forget about the consequences. This time I got a box color I basically turned my hair black which is great for some people but I was going for light reddish. I spent the ENTIRE night looking up videos on how to lighten hair dye & I tried all the things...dish soap, dandruff hair clearing shampoo, vitamin C etc. I called the owner & she went out of her way to fit me into her busy schedule to keep me from going to Sally & buying bleach which would have been disastrous. I LOVE my hair color now & will be a loyal client from here on out! I wish I had before & after pics. Huge improvement! read more

Free bang trim i between cuts i work full time and go to college so we missed our first and only appt, well went for bang cut and the lady completely butchered my 13 year old bang like seriously cut them all off she is devastated.. I called Becky the owner she doesn't apologize only yells I didn't pay for it and you missed your appt I could have filled some one.. as if now my daughter deserves this.. go at your own risk se even had pictures to show even that wont help the hair dresser.. plenty of other qualified salons you should try first as if they mess up your hair which is everything to a girl they won't be sorry or offer a fix.. meanwhile my daughter cant stop crying and i feel terrible..:( read more

I just love Becky. I am from FL and travel here for the summer. I found her on Google just searching for a stylist/colorist near me 2 yrs ago. I went to her with a formula. Becky was so personable and followed my formula exactly. I asked my hair colorist in FL to tweak the base a little darker for depth. Unfortunately my hair looked brassy and I had orange in my base & highlights. I called Becky before getting into town and told her. When I came in she looked it over & came up with a great color. Quick, easy, and exactly what I wanted. Becky is very friendly and gave me a great cut. I'm about as low maintenance as they come with my hair and keep it pretty short. I told Becky I just wanted a trim, but to go with whatever she thought would look cute, but not to mess with the bangs too much as I have quite a few wily cow licks. She did just that and I walked out with a perfectly low maintenance cut. I wanted to love this salon. It's close to home and affordable. I came in with hair past the middle of my back. I asked for long layers that should hit under my shoulder blades. While the stylist Jo was cutting, I couldn't see the back but thought the front was nice. When she gave me the mirror and showed me the back I wanted to cry. My heart sank and instead of causing a scene I paid my bill and left. My hair was cut to the top of my shoulders (not the bottom of my shoulder blades where I requested) and in the middle of my head there is a section that is straight layered, as in straight line. It looks like she messed up and kept cutting to attempt to fix. There were strands of hair that were so much longer in the front that looked like they were missed altogether. I cut them when I got home. I can't curl my hair because my hair is so thick and the layer sticks out. I have to dry my hair and then straighten it so that it looks somewhat decent. when people say "it doesn't look that bad" they are being nice. Thank God my hair grows fast. maybe other stylist are better there but will say that this was the worst haircut I've ever had and won't be back. read more
