I've been to amazing stylists and great salons over the years for color/highlights/balayage and never, EVER has my hair looked this amazing. She's incredibly meticulous and knowledgeable, and makes recommendations without making you take them (but I did - and I'm SO glad I listened!) It also helps that's she's an awesome human, and the time in her gorgeous, relaxing studio just flies! I seriously just had the best day. After moving to Colorado and leaving my stylist of 20+ yrs it's been a year long search to find someone new. I like my hair styled with long layers. Today, I had a fantastic experience because she got it right!!! Now I can recognise myself in the mirror again!! Prisila is so nice and we had things in common when we were chatting. Now I feel like I found a new friend! This was my first trip to Standz and it is now the only place I'll be heading to in the future! Bright, colorful salon, friendly people, clean environment, comfortable seating area, plenty of free parking.

I've had fine haircuts, from all over the world…read more When I got to my appointment, I found out my appointment was with Priscilla, who is not who I made the appointment with. I'm a male, who just wanted a few highlights in my bangs, and a trim, which was $35. We didn't discuss the cost for bang highlights, but if I had gotten half my head done, it should still have cost only $105. During the process, she put half the foils I asked for, and ignored me when I said it wasn't enough, saying 'it would be fine.' I asked her to please give me platinum highlights, and when she pulled out the foils, my hair was orange, which she said would be fine, because she was going to tone it (which I didn't want, I wanted platinum hair, as I asked for). She finally finished the cut, after hacking away at my hair. -Not like a razor cut, which is evenly uneven, but from short, to long, back to short again, in a hideous, rat's nest of a cut, which had no shape to it. By the time my hair was dry, I saw it had been dyed to an orangish brown, and was an uneven color along the hair strands. I went in for a cut somewhere else, and didn't even say anything, but my new stylist immediately asked who destroyed my hair. She seemed to think I had cut it myself.. With the tip, I paid Priscilla over $200!! For the highlights in my bangs, and a men's haircut ($180 for the services). She said she would redo it, if I wanted, but it would be during some other appointment time, which I did not want to have to go back for. I was also not going to let her touch my hair again, and needed to get a decent cut somewhere else, in time for a memorial service. I used to do hair for a living, so, I'm very aware of when I've gotten a hatchet job, by a bad hairstylist. I would not recommend Priscilla to my worst enemy. If you want a hairdresser who listens, addresses your concerns, and gives you an even haircut, do not see Priscilla. I am very angry and disgusted, at the hideous hairdo, and the $200 I was overcharged for, and will never get back- I have seldom been quite this disregarded during a procedure, and I don't think I've ever had a cut that was this raggedy. I looked like I had mange.

But she also is a hair master, just what you're looking for for your various hair needs and desires. Money is very tight for me, and I could go to a cheap barber or something, but I would rather get the immense quality that she always brings every single time. her prices are very reasonable, and in the over two decades that she has done my hair, I have never had a haircut I was disappointed with. I was getting more self-conscious about my white temples (I'm young, but did not get very good hair genes), and she colored them and made them look totally natural with the rest of my hair. She is extremely artistic and can get a sense for exactly what will work with each person, and she's great conversation every time while she does my hair. She also is an excellent business owner and knows how to find the right people who will make a terrific team.
