Came here because I saw a friend's review. I was expecting a lot because I'm from LA and his review was 4* even with a bay area palette. I got the pad thai and Thai tea. The thai tea was good. The pad thai was eh. They give you a lot of shrimp and the shrimp is big so that's pretty nice. The noodles were too chewy for me though and I ordered a medium spice but felt like there was literally no spice. Either they forgot or their medium spicy level is not spicy at all. Overall I really didn't think it was anything special. It's not bad though so it's just average. For $30 for 1 person, I don't think I'll be back. read more

Extremely disappointed to say the least. I have been here dozens of times and have always had an amazing and very consistent experience. Ordered take out today since that was the only option due to COVID-19 and what a waste of $65. I hate to leave a bad review, especially of one of my favorite restaurants, however, I spent $65 on food that was inedible. The Thai curry rice which is pictured here has zero flavor. As you can see in the picture, the rice is colorless..where is the green curry? Completely missing. The coconut ice cream and sticky rice were gross. I've ordered this dish at least 50 times over the years and never ever had it taste this horrible. For one, the coconut ice cream had a weird almost banana flavor to it & the rice was so sticky and hard I couldn't even chew it. It's clearly evident their usual cook was not in the kitchen tonight ..just wish I would've known that before wasting my time and money. read more

stumbled into this place while looking for a meet up. ended up missing the meet up but had the best food I've had in months. we got the orange chicken, Mongolian beef, garlic shrimp and kimchi. All 3 of us left full and satisfied. the dumplings were so good we ordered 30 more to-go for our meal preps. ambiance was nice, contemporary and well-divided for privacy. our server ended up being the owner and was shocked we wanted 30 more dumplings to bring home they were so good. One evening during rush hour, I decided to avoid traffic and get dinner at Wild Ginger. It was a great decision that I made despite initially getting deterred from the exterior. Once I walked in, the ambiance felt so authentic. I was greeted immediately and walked into the dining room with friendly faces from the staff. We ordered a pad Thai and pineapple curry. The Pad Thai is one of the best that I've had in Colorado. It was not dry like other ones and was so flavorful. I could taste the depth and complexity of flavors. The pineapple curry was also amazing. It was creamy, spicy, then the pineapples added a fresh zing. I don't come into the side of town often, but I'll be sure to always stop by from now on. Man this place is a walk away from me, literally down the street. Grabbed some wontons, Pad Thai and some handmade coconut ice cream. The Pad Thai was definitely the hero as expected. The outside doesn't look like much but we had to wait for a table on a Saturday night - this is a great place! Excellent service and we had a lovely time sitting at the traditional tables with the floor cushions. Our food was delicious and you have to try their coconut ice cream and fried bananas! I normally love this place and recommend to everyone however I will not be returning. My pad Thai was COVERED in egg shells. This picture only shows half of the shells in there. One of my favorite Thai restaurants in the Denver area. We both ordered the Pad See Ew and it was incredible. For dessert we got the fried bananas and it was exactly what I needed. Everything was so fresh and warm. Service was quick and people were super friendly. My partner and I regularly come here and it is always such a delightful experience. This place is yummmmy. I'm so glad to have found a close to me good Thai eatery. I've been having trouble finding places that can accommodate my spice level. Medium is medium, hot is hot, Thai hot is extremely hot. :) The place offers three coffee tables that you can sit criss cross at for a different experience. We sat at a regular table. The food we ordered was Chicken Pad Thai - Medium, egg rolls, Crab Wongon, Pad Bai Ga-Prow medium. The Pad Bai could have gone up to the hot spice level, but the medium on the Pad was great. The food was all delicious. What I really loved was the that the crab wongon and egg roll didn't come with just sweet and sour sauce , but also a wasabi sauce. We mixed both and ohhh boy sooo yummy. It pains me to write this. Wild Ginger used to be the only place in the South part of town to get thai food. If memory serves it was very good and definitely authentic. Today was the worst over all food let alone thai that I've had in years. Both soup and entree were so over salted that you could not taste anything else. The menu lists jalapeno peppers in many of the dishes. Since when did jalapeno peppers become authentic Thai seasoning. Spring for the real thing and raise your price if you have to. The saving grace was they took it off the bill which was kind of them and the prices have stayed reasonable over the years thus the 2 stars. There are just too many great thai places now to chance Wild Ginger again. read more
