Large private parking lot and the building appears to have been an old "Hut" style building with the chimney and brick front. The doors are definitely from a different era. Upon entry notice the place was fairly dark and I dare say dingy. The aged greasy carpet. The old Asian decor. Just screamed run. Then the hostess came up and was very friendly but a bit countercultural by rural southern standards. She knew her stuff though and was an absolute awesome waitress. Not sure I saw anyone else working out front. She seated you took your order and brought you your food she seemed to know the locals. Then the roll's appeared! Wow awesome surprise. And they tasted good so huge win. So I deducted a star for cleanliness but this place food wise and service wise is five star. I've never wanted to leave a negative review, but this place really needs help. After eating here, I experienced severe food poisoning symptoms, including diarrhea and extreme fatigue, and I lost an entire day being sick. The restaurant has become noticeably dirty, from the overall environment to the food itself. I even found a hair in my meal. This place needs a thorough renovation and better management. Terrible service. I ordered a roll, clearly stated it was for takeout, and then ordered a second roll to eat in the restaurant (I told the server I was staying and the takeout was for my dad). I waited 30 minutes--nothing came. Turns out, the roll I was supposed to eat there was in the sealed takeout bag. On top of that, they gave me the wrong roll--ordered a Royal Ginger with modifications and got a Wild Ginger instead, which doesn't even have the same ingredients. When I brought it up, the server called his wife and tried to hand me the phone to talk to her...? We love the eggplant-tofu dish and green tea. The ambience is modest but a great regional option for really good Asian food.

Their service is always excellent the many times I have taken my family there. The food never varies and it is always well prepared. They always make sure you have enough clean utensils or if you prefer chopsticks wrapped so they are new. I drink lots of water because I am diabetic and they check frequently to see if you need more water or anything else. Their tables are always clean! A Disastrous Dining Experience at Wild Ginger Asian Bistro My wife and I recently had the misfortune of dining at Wild Ginger Asian Bistro in Lancaster, Ohio, and it was, without a doubt, one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences we've ever had. Ambiance and Cleanliness: Upon our arrival, we both noted the "rustic" exterior (as real estate agent Marge Simpson would say). It looks like they haven't updated or upkept the building since the 1970s. When we entered, we were immediately struck by the lackluster ambiance with décor that felt both dated and uninspired. To make matters worse, I managed to trip over the step leading to the raised dining area, which seats maybe two dozen people (not including the bar). Perhaps there's more seating somewhere else in the restaurant, but we didn't see any. The entire setup felt cramped and poorly thought out, adding to the overall disarray. Service: The service was abysmal. We were seated promptly (it wasn't busy), and our drink order was taken. This experience was extraordinary, though not in a good way: instead of simply writing down or remembering our order, the server turned toward the bar (no more than a dozen feet away) and yelled our order to the kitchen staff in her native language. This became the standard for every interaction we had, each time shouting orders across the restaurant rather than addressing us directly or with any semblance of professionalism. If that wasn't distressing enough, I had ordered a lemon-lime soda. However, after another long wait, I was presented with tap water instead. When our server finally passed by again, I politely requested the correct beverage, only to receive yet another glass of tap water. After a third attempt, my wife intervened, only to witness the server fail to deliver the correct drink once again. The staff's complete indifference to our concerns and their total lack of courtesy made what should have been a simple dinner an aggravating ordeal. Food: If you've read this far and can believe it--we haven't even gotten to the most egregious part of our experience yet! The food wasn't just bad; it was an insult to the concept of preparation itself. In fact, it seemed as though the kitchen staff was unprepared to serve anything resembling a decent meal. My wife ordered the Shrimp Fried Rice, and it was a complete travesty. The few shrimp (a meager three) were scattered on top of a humongous mound of rice that could hardly be called "fried." As for my "Sizzling Steak," it would more accurately be titled "Overwhelming Onions." I found four or five slivers of meat buried beneath a mountain of onions and a few lonely red peppers. It was almost as if the chef had a deep personal grievance against anyone expecting a well-balanced plate. Overall: I would strongly advise anyone considering dining at Wild Ginger Asian Bistro to think twice. Our experience was nothing short of disastrous, and we will certainly not be returning. There are many other dining options in Lancaster that offer far superior food, service, and value. None of the food we ordered was particularly flavorful. We got the sweet & sour chicken & general Tso's. The sweet and sour sauce was super liquidity and not sweet at all. I then ordered the pick three lunch special (Christmas Tree roll, Crunchy Spicy Tuna, and Shrimp Tempura). The pick three lunch special also comes with a soup or salad. I picked the hot and sour soup. Everything came out quickly. The hot and sour soup was super yum! The broth was nice and thick and the soup was full of mushrooms and tofu. Let's start from the beginning. After traveling for 10 hrs it was time to check Yelp for a dinner recommendation in Lancaster OH. As my friend love Asian it was an easy choice to come to Wild Ginger Asian. We were greeted upon arriving and seated promptly, that is were the good times ended. We were seated at a table next to a window and immediately noticed the filth on the blinds, and the general unkept appearance of the dining area. Our waitress approached in a very business like manner as if she were in a big hurry, did not greet us and we placed our order. We ordered Vietnamese spring rolls, that arrived the smallest I have ever seen with almost no vegetables and had been sitting out waiting to be ordered. Next we ordered per the menu a Spring mix salad with avocado for $7 and what we were served was a teacup amount of iceberg lettuce with two spinach leaves and a sliced half of one small avocado. The sad part of this review is this was the only edible part of our meal. We then ordered Hot and Sour soup and Wonton soup, the Hot and sour was a greasy beef broth mess and the Wonton soup was a thick , pungent off putting broth with unidentifiable wrapped noodles alleged to be wontons, the menu indicated bok choy, which was omitted. The soups were removed from the table promptly by the server and not one word from her as to why it was not consumed, she apparently could care less why we did not eat it. The final insult was the entree Sesame Chicken and a bowl of cold white rice $14. The batter fried balls of white meat chicken was dry and tasteless, mostly batter and most likely fried, frozen and reheated. The sauce was sweet and tasted like nothing to do with Sesame chicken, 5 raw green beans were added to the dish. The lack of care and respect served to the customer was evident and we dined at 6:45pm. The server noticing that the food with the exception of the salad was uneaten promptly began to remove the plates with Zero concern why nothing was consumed. We eat Asian cuisine frequently all over the US and this was the worst. I am too busy to write such a long post, however we felt that it was necessary to let the public know that this cannot be tolerated. I asked the server if she was the owner as she was directing staff and shouting orders, as well as cashiering. She replied No and told us our bill was $41.10, which we paid and left as hungry as we came. This is a Zero star post, even the restroom was filthy. read more

I ordered take out from here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised! Since I was doing takeout I ordered my usual Philly roll since I'm not very adventurous when trying a new sushi spot. I ordered online through Easy Street and it said my food would be ready in 15 minutes, but it was more like 20/25 as I had to wait once I got to Wild Ginger. The Philly roll was great though & I know I'll definitely be ordering it again and possibly the Lancaster roll and their crab Rangoon in the future. I decided on the King Pao shrimp, and an egg roll. Kung Pao shrimp was spicy and delicious. Food presentation was very nice. Everything was extremely hot and fresh, including the egg roll. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that they left a little bit of tail on the shrimp. I'm not sure if that's customary, but getting the little tails off with a knife and fork, after everything is covered in Kung Pao sauce, is not an easy task. Food is always good! I moved to Ohio from California and have struggled to find Asian food that is fresh with lots of flavor ‍. A friend introduced me to Wild Ginger and I've been hooked for a couple of years now. My mom followed me here to Ohio and it's her favorite place to eat. I can't find any other Asian restaurant so far that puts such a good variety of fresh vegetables in their dishes. Their sauces are so flavorful - the wok glazed ginger is our favorite we get it every time. I've had sushi and even some curry dishes they have on the menu, everything is amazing.
