When she told me that she was moving to Pennsylvania, I was like "well what do I do now???" She said to go visit her. I said okay since the drive is only about 2 hours. I have been consistently doing so for the last year. Luz is very meticulous with her work. She makes sure that her clients not only feel comfortable, but leave happy. She won't let them get out of her chair unless they are just that. I appreciate that, since I have seen many hairstylists who don't truly care about that. They care about money and business. Luz is the complete opposite. If I am not sure what I want to do with my hair, I will tell her to just do whatever she thinks will look good because I trust her to always make me look good. If I want something a little different, she'll say ok. She never pushes me to do something I don't want to do. She gives her two cents and takes mine into consideration as well. Luz is one of the most hard-working people I know. She's also crazy, lol. I mean that in a good way. She will always know how to make you smile and laugh, even when you are having a rough day. They say a hairstylist is also like a therapist and Luz is just that. She listens to your problems and helps you reflect on them or at least she does for me. What does all of this mean? It means that you won't find another hairstylist such as Luz. You won't find somebody who is willing to charge so low for such great service. She understands quality over quantity and she understands a person's hesitation to trying a new hairstylist. I guarantee though that once you go to Luz, you will never want to go to another stylist again. Her demeanor, her personality, and her work ethic sets her aside from all others. I was past the point of the spray color working - I would need a bottle each time! When I was told yesterday that the earliest I can get in for an epidural that may or may not work is August 5th, I knew I needed to do something. So, I texted @jennasposato_ , the owner of Honey to ask her what I could do in the meantime to deal with the massive gray that was coming in and adding to my depression and frustration. Lol! She told me to come in today and she would put the color on, and I could go home to wash it out in my shower in a way that was comfortable for me. She sent me home in a shower cap, towel clipped around my shoulders to protect my shirt, and with a bag that included gloves for washing and a color removal pad for any color that happened to get on my skin. She worked quickly, acknowledging my discomfort, and I am so grateful that my roots full of gray hair are now gone! Jenna and the rest of the girls at the salon continually go above and beyond for their clients! If you are looking for a new place to get your hair done, I could not recommend this salon more! I booked a simple blowout with some curls -- nothing complicated -- but was met with pushback and attitude the moment I arrived. Instead of listening to my request, the stylist (who turned out to be the owner, Freida) insisted on doing it her way. She straightened the top of my hair near the roots and curled only the bottom, which left it looking frizzy, flat, and messy. I politely asked her to fix it multiple times, but the more she touched it, the worse it got. Rather than listening or trying to improve the situation, Freida became increasingly rude and dismissive. I was shocked by how unprofessional and cold she was -- especially as the owner. I left the salon in tears, completely humiliated and disappointed. I would never recommend this place to anyone. If they can't even do a simple blowout, how can you possibly trust them with anything else?
