The workers here are really friendly and greet you as soon as you walk in. They ask if you need any assistance and then mozy on with their own business and tell you that they will be hanging around if you need anything. The interior is really small and cozy. You can see just about everything that they have in one skim over the store, yet it does not feel cluttered or disorganized.

This is our free bird feeder with a few titmouse (mice?)

They have adorable upside down planters! The staff is friendly and it is just a great place to buy a gift for friends and family.

I've found that most of the staff here field-tests the feeders, bird houses, and seed they offer in the store.

Parmer Lane Pet Hospital - my lizard

Parmer Lane Pet Hospital

I am so overjoyed with Parmer Lane Pet Hospital ! Our cat…read moreHobbes was squinting and meowed when we tried to look at his eye. I finally got it slightly open and saw it was bloodshot red. My poor boy. We called around and were luckily referred to Parmer Lane Pet Hospital. They answered the phone and were extremely helpful & had genuine concern about our problem. They had availability & said as soon as we can get there. So we opted for the next appointment spot. When we walked in, we were greeted with smiling faces and quickly checked into the exam room. Our vet tech, Amanda, came in and quickly accessed Hobbes, asked us some questions to get his baseline down. She also offered him some treats, which he loved! He's pretty picky normally, so of course I had to find out what kind they were so we can buy them for him. (Pic attached) She also let him explore and he was very happy about that as well. Then Amanda walked out and back in with Dr Thevis. Dr Thevis said hi to Hobbes. Gave him some pets and told him how cute he was while checking him for any other injuries since we explained we thought Hobbes got a scratch from his sister when they were playing. Thankfully no other injuries. Dr. Thevis and Amanda kept Hobbes very calm and put a yellow dye in his eye so that we could see if he had any scratches. He blinked a few times, but didn't seem to care because it happened so quickly. Dr Thevis showed us with a black light how a scratch/cut/inflammation would light up in his eye. Unfortunately he has a corneal ulcer. We were given eye drops, a cone, and then asked to schedule a recheck so we can make sure he gets better. The next day, his eye had some gunk in it, and I was so concerned! I called Parmer Lane and Dr. Thevis was not in, however the receptionist (sorry I forgot her name) answered the phone and was so sweet and caring and told me that they would have a vet tech answer my questions and give me a call back as soon as possible. She also said if I had not heard back by lunchtime to give them a call again. The number they have on file is my husband's and he did not answer his phone, but they left us a detailed message. The following day, they called us again to make sure that we had gotten the voicemail and were not worried about his eye. I thought it was so thoughtful to call back just to make sure that we had gotten their previous message. I called in to reschedule the recheck appointment and it was a breeze! Everyone who works here seems to genuinely want to help you! The level of care, concern, and customer service from the team at Parmer Lane Pet Hospital is 10/10. You guys are doing everything right. Thank you so much for making finding a new vet so easy. Definitely referring my friends.

These folks are all great! Our sweet gal was 14, and we followed Dr. Will here from a different vet…read moreoffice. I see why she came here, as every vet and tech we interacted with was a world more experienced and compassionate than we've seen anywhere else. Other vets we had seen after she left wouldn't even give us guidance or concern for her condition, so we had tracked down our doc and truly, they saved her life, it bought us at least another happy year or so with our gal. In her many years of life, we'd moved lots and have seen a full spectrum of vets and emergency vet hospitals and just wow. It feels good to be able to trust the staff this well. Our gal had advanced kidney disease, but they were able to stabilize her and get us on a quality of life maintaining spot with fluid therapy. We had a vacation, and a tech was able to make home visits to help out while we were gone to keep our girl in good shape. It's been around a year since she passed, and we recently brought a new pup into our lives! Made our first visits this month for her shots, and it is heart warming to see all the staff again. It's a bit of a drive for us, but I really wouldn't go elsewhere.

VCA Arbor Animal Hospital

VCA Arbor Animal Hospital

I've been bringing my pets to VCA Arbor Animal Clinic since moving to Austin over ten years ago,…read moreand I've consistently had positive experiences with the staff and doctors. The clinic offers a comfortable environment with over five different rooms and a decent space to hang out with your pet while you wait, making visits more pleasant. The veterinarians at VCA Arbor are always straightforward and provide alternative options for the care of my dogs, which I greatly appreciate. Especially with the rising cost of everything. Sadly, earlier this year, I faced the heartbreaking decision to put down my senior dog, Aries, due to various age-related issues. Dr. Sandy, along with the rest of the staff, was incredibly sympathetic and supportive during that difficult time. They were all very sweet and gentle with me, helping me navigate such a sad moment. I'm grateful for their kindness and compassion during such a hard time for me and my family. I'll truly never forget the compassion they showed me. On another note, over the years, I've noticed that the cost of services at VCA Arbor Animal Clinic has increased. For example, the price for teeth cleaning has risen significantly from $400 to over $1,000. While this can be attributed to the current economic situation, it can still be a bit of a shock. Thankfully, the clinic offers the Care Club, which has been a great way to manage costs. It provides a more affordable option that covers various services throughout the year, making it easier to budget and avoid large upfront expenses. Initially, I was skeptical and thought it was just a sales pitch, but it turned out to be well worth it. Overall, despite the rising costs, the quality of care and the compassionate staff at VCA Arbor Animal Clinic make it a reliable choice for pet owners. I highly recommend them for their professional and caring approach to veterinary care. I'll never go to a different vet and I'll always choose VCA Arbor. I've attached pictures of all my fur babies they have helped me take care of (Aries being the last pic )

We used Yelp to find this place and always so grateful for other members leaving honest reviews. The vets are so caring as well as the techs. They truly care for each pet and it shows. We will stay with the VCA group but will have to move to a different one in a few months closer to home. We highly recommend the VCA group!!!
