Typical small town bar with old school restaurant. We showed up with 11 people on a Sunday night, which I think overwhelmed them a bit. Service was friendly but food took about 1/2 hour then started coming out one plate at a time. They did have a small salad bar with surprisingly good dressings. Many of my crew decided to go for chicken fried steak, which came out with large portion of battered chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy and a small portion of overcooked broccoli. I tried some of th le fried steak and would not order next time. I had a burger with ham and egg on top which was quite good. I'd stick to the burgers in this place. French fries were beer battered and quite good. Dinner took quite awhile but they have a cool small bar with video poker. Halfway is a very small cute town with character and Wild Bills is what you would expect I this rural area. read more
