Ordered a Caramel Sundae with extra Caramel which I paid extra for this was on Sunday March 22nd at about 6:30pm. The top of the sundae was barely drizzled with caramel. I asked the young lady if this was extra caramel and she said yes. I have had caramel sundaes from them before and they usually line the side of the cup and a little on the bottom for extra caramel. I saw the guy from the drive through window and it looked like it was the last of the caramel and he didn't want to refill the container. They wanted to get back to talking. read more

Went through the drive through at ~8:40 pm Saturday Feb 21st and whoever was working the drive through started arguing with my boyfriend through the speaker. Most bizarre experience I've ever had at a fast food chain. I'm not sure what that guys problem was. We asked the AI bot at the speaker for a number 10 by itself and the kid got on the mic and was like oh you have to ask for the deluxe burger. My bf told him we did ask for the burger but we just want it by itself not as a combo, and the guy was like no you said number 10 you were supposed to say deluxe burger. But the tone was like he was fr arguing and getting angry. Like okayyyy first red flag was having the ai speaker thing bc we do not support ai lmao but yeah we just left. I placed an order and canceled as they were preparing my food without using gloves or utensils and when asked about it we were told that the manager doesn't allow it and the health department approved this. The gentleman took an order touching the register and other objects and went back to preparing order. They then had the nerve to charge a cancellation fee. Not my usual habit to review chain fast food, but I have not been to a Wienerschnitzel in forever so why not? And... I am reminded why I have skipped this chain for a long time. I ordered the seasonal bratwurst with kraut, and chili cheese fries. The bratwurst - ugh. Bun was limp and a bit soggy, sausage seemed to be boiled and not grilled and was missing the "snap" I expect from the casing, and it was only vaguely bratwurst-like. I guess you can't screw up mustard and kraut very badly, so there's that. The chili cheese fries were not bad, but really screamed fast food and tasted like something I remember from my 80s childhood. Nostalgic is the best that I can say. $8.50 out the door for the above - I am in no hurry to return. I really wish Wienerschnitzel could be like the sausage stands in Germany and elsewhere in Europe, which are so much better even though they are fast food too. read more

The food is good and they have updated the interior but their attention to cleanliness still needs some work. The neighborhood is getting cleaned up so they should pay closer attention to the little things like the seams of the benches, the fountain drink area and having the correct change denomination available. No need to hand out 14 singles. But, regardless, it is the closest Wienerschnitzel to my house so I will return. Love their chili cheese dogs. Enjoy! read more

I've lived in or around the area for the majority of the time since my parents threw me over the border at a young age. I believe this is the first time I stop at this Wienerscnitzel. I've been to several a few, primarily the one on PCH in South Torrance. The food is what it is. What impressed me was how clean this place is kept. Plenty of room to sit and enjoy a meal. Staff was friendly. Most of the few Wiener' I've frequented are a dump. Not sure if it was because nearby high school doesn't start til the 26th and no Idiot kids are making a mess, but kudos to the shift manager and the crew for keeping the eating area immaculate. My papa's favorite food spot was always Wienershnitzel, and having grown up with it, I quite liked it as well. However, the past few years we've seen the prices go up way high turning it into a "once in a blue moon" kind of meal as we usually opt to just make chili dogs at home these days. Today, we decided to have Winershnitzel cause we both wanted root beer floats anyway and knew they had them and I'm sad to say that while the prices are still rising, the quality is drastically decreasing. We ordered 2 root beer floats and 4 chili cheese dogs, 2 for me, 2 for my dad, and well, we're not impressed. Actually we're quite disappointed. There was hardly any chili at all on either of our chili dogs, it was mainly just cheese which was disappointing to see let alone eat, I would say there was less than a tablespoon worth of chili on any of our chili dogs, and the buns now look, taste, and feel like the same $2 pack buns I buy at the store after they've been in my pantry for 2 weeks. The taste now as well is closer to what we make at home for half the cost with canned chili than it is to what Wienershnitzel was so loved for originally. As much as it pains me to say it, unless they bring their quality back up, I'd recommend just cooking some chili dogs yourself at home. read more

This would have been a 4 because the food was awesome and the counter staff pleasant But the bathroom check failed and lost 2 stars One bathroom was out of order and the other one should have been. The bag of soap was sitting conveniently in the sink and the toilet was filthy. That means I want to see the cook area and I couldn't because it was hidden over to the side. I had 3 dogs to split between dinner and supper with thousand island fries with chili in between. The kraut, chili, and deluxe were perfect with fresh everything and soft buns. Not too much toppings that I couldn't taste the all beef dogs and it was all exactly what I expected--even the hot fries! Over 5 years since my original review, Still one of my favorite Wienerschnitzel locations, If you are a regular reader of my reviews you know I very rarely give fast food locations more than 3 stars, fast food is fast food and they are all trained to make the food the same way so that the customer has the same experience at all their locations. This location is different, the food is good however the staff makes the location better than average, always friendly, always prompt and the quality of the food is always spot on. Unlike many fast food locations where they have people that are there only for the job the staff at this location seems to really enjoy working at this location and stays around longer than your average fast food worker. The owner is in the restaurant most days and makes sure customers have a great experience. Highly Recommended for your Chili Cheese Dog cravings. read more

Been to this location a few times now, the service is always good and the food is great! I usually walk in but they have a drive thru that appears to move along quickly. I always use coupons here since they come in the mail on a regular basis and you can get multiple orders on the same coupon. So that really makes it cheap . . . In a good way. My order is a chili cheese burger, chili cheese dog & chili cheese fries - all with onions! But I guess you can't really call it a date meal :) It's Weinerschnitzel so you know if you want it or not, but this is a pretty good one. I regularly went to the location on Crenshaw Bl near El Camino because it was close to home, but it closed causing me to go to the one by the Galleria. I must say that the Artesia one even though it's closer to my home ain't got anything on the Lawndale Wienerschnitzel. The place is clean and has indoor eating . The food is fresh, the staff is friendly and the classic burger is way better than any other Wienerschnitzel has served. This is my new Wienerschnitzel. read more

This location is like a regular fast food building with a seating area. Not than pointy look building, so can sit and eat if you don't want your car to smell like onions.
