The 'Schnitz as I've called it just hasn't been the same. In 2010 they made what may have been the biggest mistake of their entire career. The Sea Dog. Not introducing it, but getting rid of it. The SeaDog was the backbone of the 'Schnitz. It was the tastiest, best item in the menu. It was big, fishy, and fit nicely between the buns, with a healthy amount of white sauce to go along with it. Getting rid of the SeaDog and assuming you're going to remain popular, is akin to assuming a TV personality (an especially dull one) would make a good leader in the political realm. Which I guess to say is one hell of an American trait, despite being Der Wienerschnitzel. Anyway. I still adore the Wiener. I'm a huge fan of it. I visit rarely, but when I'm looking for an especially cheap and filling meal, one that feels mildly illegal. Unfortunately the meat isn't quite the same. The girth isn't what it used to be. It doesn't cause me to flinch when I put it in my hands and prepare the bun for a feast. But that's okay, as I age, I recognize that I might do better with smaller meat. It's less painful on the gut, especially after I'm attempting to relax after an indulging experience. Look at the photo of the Junkyard Dog. It's tasty AF. The right amount of chilli and that nacho cheese. Aw yeah. Them fries, good crunch but you have to eat it while it's hot. Their drive thru service is super quick. Never a long line. Did I mention that The 'Schnitz is cheap AF? My only hope is what then the Del Taco shows up it doesn't drive them away. My life goal would be to campaign for the 'Schniz to bring back The SeaDog, but in the mean time, the Junkyard Dog will do just fine. Also, mad props for the love of our furry canine dogs, they always get a treat!

First time going to this chain. Really happy with the overall quality and service. They were super friendly and while I was waiting brought out my bottles water. Genuinely happy to see you at the drive through. I order the Texas hot dog and it was really good. For the price I was expecting a small dog with so so toppings. What I got was a great dog with excellent snap, covered in toppings without making a mess. The onions were fresh and the bun was perfect. I don't eat fast food often but this is far superior to the run of the mill places like Burger King or MCDonalds. Great food, great service and superb value.

I went to Wienerschnitzel and honestly it was a solid quick stop they got that $6 deal with chili dogs and chili cheese fries, I upgraded to the all beef dogs for like $1.20 each and yeah totally worth it. The chili cheese dog, fries were loaded with chilli , no complaints. Drive-thru was fast, customer service was on point, and inside was actually really clean with plenty of parking. Pro tip :I always ask for my hot dog grilled extra so it gets that little char on it takes a bit longer but that flavor hits different. They got other deals too like the Sunday specials and a Chicago dog lemonade and other menu items for $2.50 which isn't bad at all, but this combo I got was the move. Wienerschnitzel always been a classic, if you haven't tried it at least once you should. Easy five stars for me my personal favorite also too is just a classic corn dog not many places. Can you purchase a corn dog now that tastes good? I still believe we are Wienerschnitzel it's one of the best corn dogs out there although I didn't have it this time. also, first time experiencing AI taking my order on drive-through. The dessert at Wienerschnitzel is surprisingly really good. They use Taste E Freeze which is a soft serve ice cream. I always get their dipped cones and the flavors change often. This month they had a blue raspberry dipped cone. I enjoyed this and my son always get oreo freezees. This is a soft serve cup mixed in with oreos. The Reeses freezee is my favorite one. read more

If you're tired of breakfast burritos that cost between $12-$15, are the size of your forearm and leave you in a food coma the rest of the morning? Weinerschnitzel breakfast burritos hit the spot with NORMAL SIZE burritos made with scrambled egg, cheese and sausage, or you can order one with scrambled egg and their famous chili. I have been coming to this wienerschnitzel location since I was in third grade. The service here has never changed it's always above and beyond not to mention how delicious the food is. I highly recommend coming in for breakfast. There is nothing like a chili dog and then a beach cruise Lee you are the best. read more

I've left reviews before. But what else can I say. I eat there so much, most of the staff knows me. I'm on a fixed income they have the most affordable prices and best deals of any fast good restaurant. It's always filling. I always order two K-9's to take home to my dog. So for starters when I come here it's really good service the drive thru crew is awesome. The lower stars is because of the god awful ai drive thru Oder taker. Please do away with this. Went for BREAKFAST on Sunday morning. Yes they serve BREAKFAST everyday. It is like a secret in South Bay. The country breakfast was just fantastic and the service was great. Lily and Alicia really do a great job. Very friendly and Alicia is making the best BREAKFAST IN ALL SAN DIEGO. The price was $4.19 for the country breakfast and what a value. This was a really neat hotdog joint but I'll tell you the most amazing part about it. My wife doesn't eat fast food she's vegetables she's real chicken. Nothing processed she's pretty she's pretty healthy. She had me go through that line twice but since we haven't been up fast food joint in like two years, but it was the middle of the night out of town Was just a beast so we pulled into this place and we were going to decide where to eat. We decided to try to eat there we ate she had a full meal and then she had me go back to the drive-through to get another hotdog so you decide I think it's a really if you want some fast food I think it's pretty darn good place service is good dining room is clean all that up. read more

We utilized the drive-through and had two large orders to fill. The person who took our order was patient and professional. When we got out food the order was fresh and nothing was missing. I wanted to treat myself to a gourmet meal so I went to Wienersnitzel for their signature hot dogs. Bought the Junkyard Dog and the deluxe dog. Both very good hotdogs. Bought a cold drink to top of this excellent dinner. Can't go wrong eating these hotdogs. Nice location in Imperial beach. You can dine in here. Parking is plenty. The employees here treated me very kindly. Nice soda fountain to drink up. Only issue was the restroom could use extra care in cleaning. This fast food restaurant has the best service and freshest food ever! The hot dogs and corn dogs are always piping hot and delicious! The new southern lemonades are the perfect answer to a hot day! Their ice cream treats are so smooth and creamy! I can't get enough of them. I drive 10 miles one-way just to go to this fabulous restaurant. read more

Ice cream machine always works and it's good. McDonalds is always broken, the Weinerschnitzel one actually tastes better so that's the spot for a ice cream fix. Also the breakfast is surprisingly good and the staff is always nice. The chili cheese breakfast burrito is sneaky good.. read more

Ropa Vieja: shredded braised beef with peppers onions and tomato- the seasoning is uniquely Cuban and fantastic- a comfort food favorite! The plate comes with a side salad and maduros- caramelized fried ripe bananas and white rice and black beans- generous portions of everything. 2. Arroz con pollo: chicken and rice exists in almost every culture, but the Cuban version is the one I would choose first any day. This was the boys fav. The dinner plate also comes with maduros and salad. 3. Papas rellenas- "potato balls" on the menu- stuffed mashed potato spheres with seasoned ground beef then lightly breaded and deep fried for a perfect crispy coat- excellent! They have 3 varieties and we tried the spicy chicken and the ground beef- both were delicious! 4. Croquetas: deep fried breaded ground ham rolls. Decadent and perfectly crispy outside and velvety inside. These were my hardest craving when I was pregnant. Love them! 5. Guava pastries- sweet with a little hint of tartness- wrapped in puff pastry. It was too late in the day for me to order coffee but I will have to make a cup of Bustelo tomorrow morning to go with these. We were too full to eat them today! 6. Iron Beer: our fav soda! Even sweeter than coke- shocking, lol! I also tried the kola champagna- a Puerto Rican staple but imo, IronBeer wins. I would buy them for the boys a couple times a year whenever I stumbled upon a Caribbean market that stocked them and they've been fans for life. We loved our meal and service was excellent but just know it's an informal cafe and they mostly serve food to go. So not much atmosphere in this worn strip mall. There are 3 small cafe style tables but you will need to order at the counter. Plenty of parking and easy to find.

I literally told my sister "oooh a deli, I want a torta after" and then I headed into Bellus. As I was walking in the owner of this deli confronted me telling me not to park there and I let him know I had just been dropped off and wouldn't be taking up any of his parking and he continued "the car, the car" so persistently I had to just about yell at him that she left and we weren't parked there. Mind you his establishment was completely empty at the time. Not that it would be an excuse if we did park there( which I would never do). Throughout my entire appointment I was thinking about how crazy he came at me and when I decided to mention it to the esthetician student doing my facial she mentioned she had ordered some tostilocos from him the day prior that came with apple on them (unusual) and that the cueritos on them were mushy and when she asked for her money back on them he had an attitude about it, which I believe given what I saw from him today. On my way out I stopped to let him know that I was a potential customer and he totally deterred me from patronizing his business. Oh and shocker: his place was still empty when I told him this and it was lunchtime. Interesting.

They don't carry it anymore. So I tried their Coconut Curry Shrimp sando. First, I'm fairly sure I bit into a shrimp tail. Two, didn't like the coconut curry sauce. So sad. My daughter ordered the katsu curry plate. I didn't take a bit of her meal as I was trying to figure out what the heck happened with my sando experience. Drop that Coconut Curry and bring back the spicy shrimp.

Apple agua fresca is perfect if you don't want your fruit drinks to be too sweet.

The owners are from Modena, Italy sharing their delicious recipes from back home. I had to do a little research on Modena because I had never heard of this city. It's north of Tuscany. Modena is a city in Italy's Emilia-Romagna region, famous for its UNESCO World Heritage historic center, luxury car industry (Ferrari & Maserati), and world-renowned gastronomy, particularly traditional balsamic vinegar, Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, and Lambrusco wine.
