There was a huge piece of mystery meat in it and when I broke it up it was raw in the middle and filled with grease. It looks like dog food. No standards or quality control here. California dreaming! Dream on. The bf was excited when he heard there was (Der) Wienerschnitzel in Everett. After a year hearing about how GREAT it is and an hour of looking for this place, we finally found the A-framed hut. They are famous for their chili cheese dogs and by gosh, they had it on special that we could not pass! Two chili cheese dogs for $3! We also ordered chili cheese fries and a large drink all for little over $12. Meh, it was alright. Der wieners were good and firm, the chili was bland and meaty, the cheese just melted and the buns soaked up the cheese. The fries needs to be cooked a little more to crispy, but I liked that it was shoe string fries. After driving in circles for an hour to find this place, it was worth the eat, otherwise it's not worth spending $12 for Der Wienerschnitzel, maybe just for their special price 2 for $3. The teenagers working behind the counter are laid back and had the attitude that just don't give a hoot. Felt sorry for the fry gal working with the two boys that just stood still and stared in space. Nice kids. A MUST TRY. read more

How have I never written a review for this place? It is part of my fast food staples. Chili dog on a pretzel bun and chilli cheese drys, that is where it is at. This place is cheap and has decent food. You are not coming here to eat healthy or have a fine dining experience. If you are, I have to laugh at you. I grew up in CA so we had these all around. I have lived in WA for over 20 years now and this is the only location in the state as far as I know. Service can be slow but they are working in a small area. They are usually friendly and my food has always been hot. They added tastee freeze with the remodel which is nice. I have had a sundae and dipped cone from that menu and both were good. There is really not enough room to sit inside and eat. There are outside tables for when it is nice out. read more

Pay attention to what they give you and make sure it's hot. Their policy (apparently) is after ten minutes "of ordering" they won't give you a hot one. Tables were no where clean, full of dried food. Got what I paid for and nothing more. read more

The main thing I like about Wienerschitzel is its association with Tastee Freez. Those milkshakes are top notch. I haven't really been a big fan of the rest of the menu since they did away with their dollar menu quite some time ago. The service was kind of slow and we stood there for an uncomfortable amount of time before being acknowledged. If you like low end hot dogs, burgers and fries, I'm sure you'll like them just fine. read more

15 miles from me, worth the drive when they're on their game. I, too, just about had a fit when I found out this store was here as I grew up with these places all over in California. So far out of 4 visits, 3 have been worth it. Hot, "fresh" (for them, so like... probably from today) food, with fresh fries that are awesome. I love their chili and I'm quite sure it's the least healthy option on the market (maybe that's why it's so awesome). If you live nearby I envy you, otherwise it may or may not be worth the trip depending on who's working that day and if the dogs are from last week or not. When it's all hot and gooey with cheese it's irresistible! Seating is extremely limited, so be prepared to eat in your car. Building, and kitchen, look 100 years old so it feels a bit like you're taking your health into your own hands eating here. Still worth it lol. read more

An employee was very kind and helping me when the huge manager guy stepped in and treated me extremely rudely, told me I had to pay for it and such. He was VERY disrespectful. Ah, the 70's. I remember going to Wienerschnitzel in southern California as a kid. I'd have a mustard dog and corn dog, and then would be set for playing some street baseball. So, I obviously tripped when I came across a Wienerschnitzel in Everett. It's a very old school building---a big A-frame structure with an opening in the middle (back in the day, you'd drive your car through the middle). Their menu hasn't changed much in the last few decades (why mess with what works?). My brother and I did crack up at one of their newer items though: chili cheese fries burrito. Dude, you have to see the picture of this thing. it's basically a clump of fries with chili on them and they're wrapped in a burrito? Who thinks of this stuff? They musta been tokin' up hard that day. I'm sure it's tasty (and unhealthy as heck for ya!). I went for (surprise surprise) mustard dog and corn dog. I then put on some tube socks (pulled up to my knees), a head band, and my K-mart Traxx shoes and looked for some street baseball. read more

Wow, I was visiting a friend today and saw the sign. I've been going to Der Wienerschnitzel since the 1960's and today was the best ever. First the voice on the speaker was cheerful, excited, and super helpful. When I went to pay the young guy st the window noticed I was going to open then door because I was a bit too far, he laughed and said "don't worry sir I've got long arms". Yeah - he did hav,e long arms. I ordered a plain chili dog and a chili dog w/kraut. I parked to because it's way too messy. I unwrapped the first one and was surprised that steam came off of it. The chili was the best I'd tasted there, the bun was warm but not stale or soggy. The second one was just as good. This location just doesn't stack up with the rest of the organization. No Fry sauce, No Italian Sausage, No real seating. My wife and I went on a Friday night around 9pm or so and it was sort of a bland experience. The Pretzel buns were awesome, the Chili Dogs were great, the Corn Dogs were just ok. We had freshly cooked fries, so they were as good as they could be, but nothing spectacular. Service lacked enthusiasm and friendliness. All in all, I wouldn't make a special trip to go here. Calling all Californians! You've reached weinerville! This place is a California staple and if you're feeling homesick I've got the cure. Yes you have to like hotdogs to enjoy this place. Hotdogs are delicious and hot. Service always friendly but slightly slow. No big deal, a good wiener is worth the wait. Premium dogs (Chicago dog) is priced average. They do have family packs which is nice cause it's cheap and you don't have to remember everyone's order. Seating is pretty limited. No high chairs either. The staff here are always super friendly. They have gone out of their way to make sure everything is right a number of times. Am really appreciative of this location, being the only one in the state, that while many have closed down over the years the owner continues to provide consistent wiener schnitzel fare at affordable prices. Had my first hotdog from there the other day. It had Bacon. The bun was disappointing. Was like the kind you get from the grocery store to use with an oscar Myer cheese filled dog. The bacon honestly saved the dog. Maybe had I ordered it with the pretzel bun would it had been bomb. But either way, 2 dogs, large curly fry and two drinks for under $12? Pros: tasty dogs, one of the ONLY fast food places weiner lovers can buy their fave in the Northwest, lots to choose from, PLUS they now serve Tastee Freez ice cream. Yum! Being from San Diego we have these all around us! I made my husband drive an hour just so I could get a chili dog from here! And it was so worth it. The service was great and friendly even when my husband pulled a joke on the cashier! (He said "can I please get 3 number 8's, wife is pregnant" he laughed and asked if that's really what we want.) having to wait for them to bring your food to you is a nice touch.
