The only drawback that I have found for a few years now is that their soda dispenser throws ice on the floor. Yes, they have a caution sign, but it's very inconvenient to tiptoe around it. Other Der Winerschnizels don't have this problem. What does this one do? Also, their PA is always playing Country music. There are many people here who aren't Country music fans. Switching to Classic Rock would help a lot. If not, playing Neon Moon or No Working During Drinking Hours would be great. read more

Pretty good hot dog joint. They have several different types of combo plates, but I always get two chili cheese dogs with onions, fries, and lemonade. They are always pretty good. Definitely filling. Sigh... Ever hear of the KISS principle? Keep It Simple, Stupid? That is this places motto. Don't order anything beyond a "number 1" or a "number 3", or anything that is not more than 3 items. First time: fries were cold and dogs had no mustard. Didn't call or complain. Second time: Only three dogs were correct, fries were cold and half way filled. Called, calmly spoke with a manager who stated that they thought it was only supposed to be one dog with mustard and onions. (Yet I got three?) Wrote my name and order on a book (yes, they have a special book for messed up orders) and I told them I'd be back later. Third time: I call ahead giving them ample preparation time, letting them know that I would be coming. I got: Chili dogs (NO CHEESE) with mustard and onion 2 large fries, 3/4 full with mixed hot and cold fries Burnt mini corn dogs And the sorriest excuse for an ice cream cone they could possibly make. The night manager working tonight clearly hates her job & thinks it's okay to be rude to customers for no other reason except that it was 10:30pm & we were making her actually do work. We ordered a beverage & the cup was handed to us covered in soda that she should have wiped off as a common courtesy. We ordered an ice cream cone and the serving of ice cream was falling off of the cone & couldn't help but laugh when she handed it to me. I have a problem, I'll admit it. I'm addicted to chili cheese dogs and especially the Junkyard Dog. I am well aware that they are gut bombs, and are terrible for me but I just don't care. It's worth all the hassles to eat one of these awesome doggies. This Wienerschnitzel typically has horrible service and I get it. I'd probably not be super stoked about working with wieners all day either. I'm writing this review because that all changed today. Fast food is a last resort for me. The body needs fuel or it does not function correctly. This location was easy to find. It is the only food place on that particular block. Food was the expected flair. I know how hit dogs are made and am not sure that the "all beef" versions they offer are any better than the normal hot dogs. When they are covered in chilli or dry sauerkraut with mustard, I do not think it matters much. Dear wiener will do in a pinch. I suggest trying to avoid being in that pinch. You can tell by looking at it that you are not doing your body any favors by eating here. read more

I just went through the drive through. The line is long and it's Normal it's a Friday. I have no problem waiting 20 min. There was a car in front of me still when an employee approached the car with my food and asked for a form of payment. I handed her my card and saw in the bag there was no forks or ketchup or anything. Vehicle in front of me leaves and I go to the window when Employee hands my card and window closes. I wait and ask her for some forks and ketchup. The employee looked irritated which I understand it's busy. What wasn't necessary was the aggression in handing me the fork and asked me how many you want and practically threw at me because some fell on the floor. I chose not to escalate the problem but review. My Receipt says Jenna G. So if you read this I hope you can realize I was nice to you even when you were being rude and should maybe consider a change in job. You don't seem happy. The restaurant itself is pretty clean for a fast food joint, but was impressed with the bathroom and how clean it was too! How about no starts for this store. Went through the drive-thru earlier this evening. Before I started ordering I let the girl know that I had a coupon for $1.00 off chili cheese fries. As I stated before?.. I am rating fast food chains against there other stores in my area, I do not consider any fast food place a five star. And really wouldn't recommend anyone ever eat at any national chain type joint as the food is horrrrrrible for you as we all know but that said we all have our favorites and this is one of mine. Congrats to this store as it ranks second and it is the closest to my house. It is pretty solid as wieners go, sometimes I get stale fires and I ordered extra chili on my fries a few times and I got no extra chili.
