At the spur of the moment, I called this Salon since it was in my area to see if they had availability and they invited me to go in. I was originally interested in getting highlights. I went in during the day since they were not busy. The girls seemed very nice and took time to discuss highlighting options, then we discussed suggestions for a haircut. I decided to let Kyra (not sure of the spelling) cut my hair. She took quite a while to cut my hair and when she showed me the back I had to hold my breath and bite my tongue. The layers she cut looked as if a 4 yearold had taken dull scissors to my hair. I mentioned that the layers didn't look even, but she assured me they were. I paid and left. I also hit the 30 percent tip by accident, but the Mgr said there was no way for her to void the transaction and re--ring it. SMH. I didn't even want to look at it again after I got home. A few days later I washed my hair and blew dried it and styled it, but I was still just as disappointed with the cut. Now, I can't get highlights because they will only exaggerate the butchered layers. The Mgr wanted me to go back in so she can fix the cut, but i don't want to because the layers have already been cut a lot shorter and the odds of being able to blend them correctly will most likely require cutting off a lot more of my hair. I'm stuck for at least another 6 months to let it grow, and then hopefully, I will find another Stylist that might be able to blend the layers and give me a quality haircut. I am VERY disappointed in my experience at Salon Envy.

Updating my review :…read more I saw her last year when I wanted my hair trimmed for my wedding . I was so excited to see her again after 11 months of not getting my hair cut due to having a crappy job who worked me ragged. But on the day of my appointment , she sent a confirmation text at 9:06 am and my appointment which was at 10:30 am . She cancelled the appointment at 9:58 am, no warning about this policy or anything, not a " hey, look out for a confirmation text " etc. I'm a person who barely has the time to take care of myself . I am also a new mother , and now that I'm on maternity leave, I thought I could finally get a haircut . The reason why I was unable to answer her text was because I was breastfeeding my baby, burping him and then giving him to his father so I can leave to get to my appointment on time . I arrived at 10:20 am and that's when I looked at my text messages . My phone was also on silent so it wouldn't disturb the baby. I pleaded with her and all she said was that she was sorry . If I only knew about the policy or if a confirmation text was sent at least a day ahead I would have confirmed . I am now crying in my car , maybe it's the hormones I don't know . But the fact I am being punished for other people not showing to her appointments is ridiculous . I don't know how someone can be this cold hearted to a customer .

EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL SALON WITH UNTRAINED STAFF…read more It is incredibly frustrating and completely unacceptable for a business to hold its clients to a rigid standard while failing to offer even a baseline level of professional courtesy in return. Turning a child away at the door due to being ill-equipped and ill-prepared is something no parent should have to navigate. Our stylist Dani K. canceled on us twice in a row then called us with an attitude and she's a manager. Our next stylist, Sarah M. honestly expressed that she didn't even know how to do our daughter's hair after Audrey at the front desk assured us that we would not be canceled or rescheduled on again. Well guess what? We were rescheduled on again, for a third time. If I were to cancel my appointment without a 24-hour notice, this salon would eagerly enforce their strict cancellation policy and charge me without a second thought. Yet, they apparently feel completely justified in waiting until the exact moment my daughter and I walk through their doors to cancel on us. Their excuse for the third reschedule? They suddenly realized they were ill-prepared to do my daughter's hair. A professional establishment knows the capabilities of its stylists and communicates appropriately during the booking process. Waiting until we arrive to turn a child away is not only cowardly and blatantly unprofessional, but it also feels incredibly targeted. Do not spend your money at a business that demands your respect but refuses to treat you or your family with basic human dignity. Our daughter missed three days of summer camp because of this place. Run away from this salon as fast as you can and DO NOT LOOK BACK

You are correct--I was visiting a business next door, but what you witnessed was my reaction to the owner yelling and using profanity toward myself and another gentleman. She took her time and made sure that everything was done to my liking. I especially enjoyed the fact that she came to my home. I could be comfortable in my own space and not have to worry about getting dressed and heading out into the heat to meet her at a salon. I loved the whole experience. Im very tender headed so for her to braid my hair and me not be in pain was an extra bonus for me. And when it came to pricing it was very reasonable. I expected to pay more as she had to come out to me to do my hair but it was actually cheaper than most salons. I have had my hair done by her many times and will continue to use her service as its so convenient and affordable and just a great experience overall.
