This was my first time here and it was a great experience. They treat you like a queen (or king) with a head and shoulder massage to start. Andrea discussed what I wanted; she fixed my bangs I had cut myself, layered my long hair so it lays better. I left feeling much better about myself. I went to HEB the next day and a lady approached me loving my hair and took pictures of it to show her hair dresser since I live far (dripping springs). All the stylists seemed to be trained well, and I've been trying to find one in Austin and where I live that "knows how" to layer, style! It seems so easy but it isn't! It's a talent, an art! I have been going to this salon the past 5 years, this past year has been the worst experience. I have had several cancellations, most being same day. Very frustrating scheduling months in advance. Day of appointment again showed pictures. Awful turn out. Specifically wanted asked white highlights . Hate yellow and orange. Ended up with zero blonde in the back and orange /yellow skunk streaks in the front. Came back for it to be fixed again asking if she'd like to review the pictures which she didn't and again awful. So incredibly disappointed. Highlights are so basic and easy. Have a big trip in three days and was really looking forward to my hair being done. I drove from San Antonio to get my hair done with BK. I had been to her at a salon in Houston and I just recently found her again! I had been waiting to color my hair for so long. I got there and she asked me questions I would never think about. So I'm glad she thought of all of that. Initially I wanted something very blonde but I'm glad she suggested that I might get shocked and hate it so we did some foils to start lightening it up. Most importantly I asked her to not touch my roots. I'm also glad she didn't tone it a cool color. Whatever she did I love it! Even my husband noticed. My mom loved it too! I drove a long distance in icy road conditions and inclement weather for my appointment with Rose, only to be met with incredibly unprofessional service. I called ahead to inform the salon I was running 10-15 minutes late--still within their 15-minute grace period--but no one answered. When I arrived, I was told they couldn't complete my scheduled gloss treatment and could only offer a haircut. A gloss isn't nearly as involved as a full color or highlights, so there was no valid reason for this refusal. This reflects poor schedule management and terrible communication by the front desk. I actually feel bad for the stylist because it was clear she had no flexibility or contingency built into her schedule. This lack of planning highlights serious gaps in experience and professionalism. Management needs to take immediate action--train your staff on proper customer service, improve schedule management, and prioritize client communication. Clients deserve far better than this. read more

I have short hair so I get cuts about every 6 - 8 weeks. The price went up $80 for my husband and I from January to May with no notification. It was just thrown on me each time I got a cut. Omg. I LOVE this salon. If your like me, you get your hair cut once or twice a year and hop from salon to stylist and never really feel satisfied with your hair... you have to try out The Foundry. I love the vibe of the salon, it's clean and super cool industrial esthetic and it's a non-tipping salon, everything is built into the price which is sooo reasonable for the value. Also, I highly recommend their coffee! I am hesitant to name my stylist because I want to keep her all to myself but she deserves the praise! Sloane at The Foundry is incredible! First of all, I wasn't going to post a review because I was disappointed and figured it wouldn't make a difference And wasn't worth my time. Then I kept getting emails from them asking for a review. It made me mad all over again so here it is. I planned my daughter's Sweet 16 Party for months. We came to New Braunfels for my daughter's sweet 16 birthday party. I told the salon it was for her sweet 16 birthday party. 3 1/2 weeks before arriving, I booked the appointment for a blow dry and updo. I made it clear that her hair was very curly and we wanted it to be smooth ( her stylist at home gets it bone straight). They called me 3 days or so before and said the girl scheduled was no longer working there and booked us with Bradley. They assured me he was good at straightening curly hair. . When I picked her up from her appointment I was very disappointed to see that her hair was frizzy. When we went to check out, the guy, Bradley, told us there was no charge because she was a model because he was in training! My daughter was very upset and had to flat iron and style her hair herself once we got back to our place before the party. No one ever told me they would be having a person in training to do her hair for such a special occasion. I was shocked! Very unprofessional of them. read more

They returned my call in less than 10 hours on their next business day and were able to accommodate me within my desired day and time. The place is massive, yet very stylish, beautiful accents, fantastic design and overall very European vibe. My stylist was very attentive and carefully listened to my needs and didn't push anything I didn't want/need. The entire protocol of their services is very relaxing and making you feel very special. Surprisingly on a Saturday morning they were able to squeeze my mother in law and I for a blow dry and style for a wedding that was happening later that day. The salon is huge and I've heard they are expanding the space even more! I also learned that they participate in a lot of different charities through events for things like wigs for kids. What also surprised me is they don't take any gratitude I think it's based off of what products they sell and maybe a cut of the pricing.
