Lindsey did my hair and she was great! She checked my record to get my color and to ask whether I wanted a blow-dry (no). She blended my grey & white crown with my longer blond locks beautifully. She used purple shampoo (brightening and strengthening) and a good conditioner. She then did a neat trim in the style I like, and walked with me to the product I was looking for but had missed (Light Elements, which I use for hair and skin). She was cheerful and kind throughout and my hair looks wonderful. The staff at the counter was attentive and pleasant, and the room attractive. I went here every month for about 5 or so months. I started with the same stylist. Then one month the front desk called with a bunch of confusion and wanting me to move my appointment something about the stylist and I said no that's the only day I can come in. So I saw a different stylist. Consistently each month my hair color was correct and it was the same and I came from another salon with my formula so it was all written down. The second stylist did a good job and did the correct root color she also did highlights so it was an expensive visit so I become more blonde with the highlights. I schedule with the original stylist for the following color appointment and then two days ahead of time the front desk called with the same type of confusion about the appointments and I said You know what just change to the second stylist I've used I'll stick with her from now on because my life and my schedule is not congruent to these monthly confusions and changes being made to my appointments from this one stylist. So yesterday I went for my routine hair color with the second stylist who had done my root color the month before and it was the right color no problem because they have the formula in their computer. However the root color I ended up with was so dark so ashy, so gray looking so gross it looks like mud on my hair and of course it's ruined and the highlights I paid for last month as well are RUINED. I asked the second stylist if anyone can go into the computer and tweak someone's formula and she said yes and I said well since you did my color last month and it was perfect this month you did the same formula out of the computer( you say )and it's totally wrong not even in the ballpark then obviously someone has sabotaged it or you made a mistake. She assured me she didn't make a mistake. She assured me she followed what the computer said. Leaving me to assess that my hair was sabotaged yesterday. I SPOKE TO THE ORIGINAL STYLIST YESTERDAY WHO KEPT F****** UP MY SCHEDULE AND WHO I SWITCHED FROM AND SHE SAID SHE DIDN'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT BUT SHE KEPT STARING AT MY COLOR ON MY HAIR WITH A SMIRK ON HER FACE AND THAT'S WHEN I WENT INTO THE BATHROOM INTO THE LIGHT IN THE BATHROOM LOOKED IN THE MIRROR AND I KNEW THE COLOR WAS WRONG AND WAY TOO DARK. I BELIEVE SHE SABOTAGED IT IN THE COMPUTER I HAVE TO BELIEVE THAT It's so embarrassing and so gross I can't even go out in public without a hat on today. I've reached out multiple times through the front desk to leave a message for the owner to contact me before I started leaving reviews without any contact in return so I'm not sure that the message is getting relayed I'm turning now to social media and to reviews to try to have this result before I seek legal restitution. I'm out about $600 at this point and my hair is f***** up so bad I can't even go in public without a hat and William edge the owner will not contact me back. It's the most bizarre situation. I visited William Edge on Friday the 10th of February. I told the stylist about my hair's history and a year ago I had some grey hairs covered up for my wedding. I told the stylist I feel extremely self-conscious about them but since there are only a few grey hairs, I would rather not go through the hassle of permanent color again. At the end of my service when my hair had dried I noticed that the final color of my hair looked wrong. Instead of ignoring my grey hairs I now noticed that several areas of my hair had actually turned grey during the process. I told the stylist I didn't like the color and that I now had more grey hair than when I started and that I wasn't happy with it. I was told that she didn't have time to wash my hair and develop or fix the problem because she had another client after me and she was already running behind. I offered to wait in the salon until the all other clients were finished to give the stylist the opportunity to fix the problem. I had driven from San Antonio and taken a half day off work for this appointment and wanted to leave with the problem resolved. I was told again that she had no time and that I would have to come back if I wanted the problem fixed. Eventually I felt extremely uncomfortable and anxious as I felt like I was being an imposition and was being pushed leave. I agreed to leave and was given developer to wash my hair with when I was home. I don't know if this a normal procedure with all clients to finish the developing process at home but I paid for a service and was left feeling very unsatisfied and embarrassed when I left the salon. I called the next day to ask for a refund so that I could try to resolve the problem at another salon. I was told that was not likely to be an option and that they would prefer to fix the problem themselves. As I had felt extremely uncomfortable the previous day, and anxious about returning I pushed again for a refund. I was told that only the owner would be the only person to authorize a refund, I asked to speak to the owner and was told they would call me at the end of the day. Nobody called. I knew they were closed on Sunday and Monday so I waited Tuesday, but still no call. I called back again mid day Wednesday and was again told the only option was for me to come in an have them attempt to rectify it. Again, given how uncomfortable I had felt at the time I did not see this as an option. I again asked to be contacted by the owner. Again I was told they would call me at the end of the day. Again, nobody called me. I have tried to be courteous and clear with my request when speaking to employees on the phone. At one point I re-iterated that my whole experience had left me feeling uncomfortable at which point I was told that if the phone call was uncomfortable that it would be best to just end the call. I'm just frustrated that I am being forced into writing this review because the owner apparently has no intentions of reaching out to me to try and resolve the problem directly. read more

I have had my hair cut and colored here on a few occasions. First time I was pleased with the result, but then the stylist I was seeing left. The second time, with a new stylist, the scheduler messed up my appointment and didn't book in enough time for the service I'd requested. The third time, the stylist argued with me about the color and gave me a bad haircut. One side of my hair was actually longer than the other. For the past three years, Jaycie has been my stylist. She has consistently done a fantastic job with the color and cut. On my recent visit to the salon I was 10 minutes late. First time late, been there several times already. The hairstylist gave me attitude. I asked for a beverage and she continued to give me attitude stating "like I said I need to get the color and the receptionist can get that." I was pretty shocked. This is the second time that she has been pretty unpleasant and unprofessional. This salon doesn't accept tips which is maybe why she is very short and rude or doesn't like her job. I am so stoked that I saw this salon while on a visit here in New Braunfels You know that thing you wish the stylist would do with your bangs, but they never do? JUSTINE did it. She did an absolutely amazing job with my hair and I couldn't be happier! My haircut was PERFECT! I gave her a photo of what I wanted (ish) and we kept it fluid. She was so intuitive with the style and what I wanted. The salon itself was very clean and I was impressed with their level of COVID precautions. Super professional from masks to hand sanitizer to separate "clean" and "dirty" pen cups. Use a clean pen and place it in the dirty cup for single use. That detail showed me they were serious about their precautions to protect me and the rest of their customers. Incredibly friendly people working there and I wish so much this was my regular salon. Unfortunately i'd have to drive 16 hours from Florida to get a haircut. But I'm not ruling it out. ;) Oh yeah, they're an Aveda salon, so it smells amazing in there! Hands down the best salon in New Braunfels. All of the staff is pleasant and courteous. Alex is my stylist, she listens to what I am looking for, and adds her professional touch.
